    Wow, Scott has come a long way. When I used 'em, we only had the voice amps and Vibe alert for air. Now with motion alarms, quick bottle changes, tank status lights. Nice.

    Pet peeve... full is full.. I don't CARE if OSHA says 90% is good. Fill it up!
    4500 psi and lets say you can get 20 minutes out of it that is 225 psi/minute. Instead of 4000 psi I'll take 4500 and the extra 2 minutes!

      The next guy hookin' up to that pack might not know that you left it at 90%, and you just gave him less time to search and rescue.
      Couldn't agree with this comment more. Fill them up. If you use them, refill them.

    @Whammer79 This is an excellent method for donning your pack. It puts all the straps in the right place the first time. It's obviously not for confined spaces, but much quicker when donning in this situation.

    today, i had training (im an explorer) with our interspiro packs. they are friggan great. not as bulky with the twist on regulator, just a quick connect. no voice amplifier either, not needed. it is kind of lucky we did it too, my pack had an air leak at the swivel connection where the gauge connects..

    Decent video and thank you but a few things I think might help out: you should check the purge before you take the air in...so you don't get any unwanted dirt sucked in, you want to do a 1/4 turn back from the valve being opened all the way and you should donn everything with your gloves on for good practice. Just key things I've learned over the years.

    • @nickolasguile8734
      @nickolasguile8734 3 роки тому

      because you'd be wasting air. and also when you come out of the building, you take your regulator off your facepiece first then helmet then facepiece. going in should be the opposite. put on your facepiece facepiece make sure you got a tight seal, helmet, gloves, regulator. muscle memory..

    The self contain breathing aperatise should not be put on over head with out a helmet you should use the backpack style if you do not have a helmet on but that was a pretty good video and also don't rely on all the lights because a lot if different stations don't have then like that

    With all due respect to a 30 year person you of all people should know that there are many different ways to do things. And in the past 10 years that I know of it's never hit the helmet unless someone made a mistake. But for what it's worth we just upgraded to MSA's and found it to be more practical to sling it like a backpack.
