These podcasts help me deal with stressful days at work. I always watch in the mornings, for the first hour of my 9-5, trying not to get too worked up and stressed and sad that I have a lot of work to do. Im not sure how it works but kinda keeps me calm. Also "save me the trouble" and "save me some cake" are indeed different meanings of the same word and in other languages (ie greek) there two separate words to express these.
I'm the same way with NYC and the different energy it brings. No idea why, but it feels like home to me. I've never lived there, but I started going every year a decade ago around Christmastime - and the good vibes I get when I'm there (which multiplies that time of year) are beyond. I continue to go every year during the holidays - and then a second time, usually in spring. To get my fix and that lil boost of dopamine. It feels like everything is accessible, everything is possible in NYC. The biggest high comes when you head back to your hotel after the bar and you make a pit stop at the nearby bodega. Deli pickles, pizza, healthy snacks, or beer - all for the taking. Can't wait 'til December. (Oh, and glad you all had a great time! ; )
So I keep a “journal” thing for my kids that I plan on gifting them when they graduate high school. Like heavy hitting thought provoking stuff that I hope they think about and wrestle with as good humans. I think I might have to add, “Having all of these big feelings: good, bad, and in between is really special. Being a little human is really cool.” - Camden Arnold Scott
I also feel deep sadness about not being able to have a biological kid that shares my [hypothetical future] wife's DNA with mine. Feel guilty for feeling like I am missing out on that hetero aspect of parenthood, like I should be blind to that and not care. I know I'll love my kid so much regardless of DNA but also try to validate for myself that it's just something that feels "unfair" about being gay.
I hope you do move to nyc. It's the best. I wish my wife and I ran into while you were here ♥ We have so many dog parks here. You will be the best moms
As someone who lived in NYC for several years, I refer to it as my toxic ex...I'll always love them but they're not necessarily good for me. The NY lifestyle isn't the healthiest and involves a LOT of sacrifice (esp. if you want kids) unless you're wildly wealthy! But I totally get the mourning the life you may have had
I love you guys and I love every episode but the PP story time was v hard to follow Might I suggest reading it start to finish off the page in 1st person or however it is written to u then waiting to jump in with all commentary once done reading ♥️ Again all love just real hard to follow with all the interjection and 1st to 3rd person changes. Thank you for doing what you do I love y’all and love your brains and you’re both so cute okay bye.
CAMMIE LETTING THE FEET OUT!
