For all we know most of the best singers of the ages were from Spain and its territories until modern songs came. Science have proven that a certain traits are inherited.The musicality of the Filipinos may be attributed to it because it's not confined to a particular region or local dialect only but from every corners from the island of Luzon down to the sprawling islands in the Visayas and up to Mindanao talents of different ages will just sprout from nowhere.

In my own understanding, By definition, 'professional' would indicate that you make money by doing something. A professional singer is one that is being paid for singing... Ricel is also being paid to ocassions she was invited to perform (raket). To be called as Profesional singer doesnt also needs a recording and album, for example, a professional musian, composer, dancer, etc. For as long as you are being paid to such service you are providing...and does it for a living.
