There's equipment that helps to easily remove the display without breaking it, I could probably remove it with extreme patience but I didn't have the time :/

It's actually not that hard, with the equipment you have, just soak the screen in isopropyl alcohol for like an hour then use a heat gun and a fishing wire

It’s interesting as you clearly show. Those types of screen replacements are very risky That is why most repair shop buy with the frame it’s a little bit more expensive but you don’t have to deal with the headache also Canada is way more expensive than US. I can get the same screen same color like you showed for 369 ca plus shipping vs 467 ca

As far as I know, all displays sold by Samsung come with a frame attached to it, so the screen you got probably isn't OEM

What do you guys mean the display with a frame?
Most repair shops use after market parts. They are cheaper and don't require partnerships that have particular rules that make your life harder as a technician. I have been certified by Samaung, apple, and google to do OEM repairs. All of them javelin their own rules that you have to comply with and it is ridiculous.
For the s23 line up they now have UB’s which is just the screen that are OEM. While most repairs we do are OEM octas (frame, screen, and battery) some of the new repairs are the UB’s. They require you to gut the phone and remove the display from the inside, then use resin to glue another screen on the old frame.
A couple days ago I replaced a Galaxy Note 20 Ultra display with the frame for a customer .. it was a 250$ but it was very easy compared to the normal display :›
yeah samsungs are quite easy with the frame. but samsung is moving back to the option to switch the display only as opposed to the OCTA kit for the s23 ultra

It's s22ultra last year's phone. But no worries I broke my s23ultra 10 days after release the insurance company legit gave me a new phone since they didn't had any parts yet 😂
You know accidents can happen at any time right? I just got my s23 ultra and the guy at Verizon told me someone the day prior dropped their phone as they were putting it in a case and it happened to fall on a rock screen down and broke it. You're kinda dumb to think that the phone came out a couple months prior as well as thinking accidents can't happen
@@kitten-whisperer mine was dropped with the screen too and it got internal damage. It is so tragic that the glass doesn't have any scratch since is the best in the market currently but I still got dead pixels underneath it 😂

Use loca glue and tempered glass, straches will go away.
if you have a dislplay like this, u can buy the new one with the frame to preserve the old one and do a glass replacement, that would make you more money

they can be refurbished i.e when the panel is not damaged and just the glass is, they can replace the glass layer and sell the screen once again

The octa machine can do a screen replacement. You would have to increase the heat but it would get that class off and you could salvage the LCD.

On my Note 20 Ultra (basically the same screen design), I was told you can't get just the screen. You have to buy the whole frame assembly, which is like $400.
Surprisingly maintenance mode is terrible I work at a repair shop that is Samsung certified and in order to calibrate the phone after the repair you need to enable developer mode which is disabled when the phone is in maintenance mode genuinely a huge hassle

Have you ever thought on making glass only replacements? It's much more cheaper for the customer and also better way to reuse probably original OLED screens
That requires a lot of skill and patience, not for faint hearts.

Oled and amoled panels glass is practically impossible to remove without damaging the actual display, you need a lot of skill and experience to pull that off

Has someone who also tried this repair on my own phone, I made sure to have the one with the frame on standby just in case. Trying to slip off just the glass is incredibly tricky.

if you would like to keep displays i recommend trying and researching phone openers with dedicated heating and slow prying in a way that you dont bend the display itself but rather melt the glue to a point there it should lift off without breaking...
Quick question! Isn’t it much easier if you opened it from the back and replaced the display with the frame? Then you also have the cracked good display too if wanna sell that :)

im telling you for sure you can remove the screen undamaged with a curved screen disassembler from quianli. You have to remove the motherboard and the battery, under the battery there is a gap from the inside frame and the screen to put the tool in and gently pry the screen form inside out.

Maintenance mode... I took my phone to a Samsung store, but they said they couldn't take it on maintenance mode because it would prevent them from conducting a full test on it. I don't understand why... It was also for a screen replacement.

You can use uv glue over the display before you start it will hold it together and lowers the chance of breaking it

I would've removed the entire LCD first then attempt to separate the glass from the digitizer with it face down on the hot plate while using thin wire & ipa alcohol.

Ask around to see who gives the best deal then don't know if that's a fair price. Obviously you don't want to go to cheap because the person may not be putting an Oleum screen or do a completely right.

Why not use a screen protector?
You have to literally soak the display with alcohol to easily remove the display.
Or use liquid hidrogen or dry ice to remove the glass only.

Having a frame replacement done is amazing anyways, mine had a few marks and dents, got a screen replacement and it looked like a brand new phone.

You need to use VW40 after disassembling every thing from the phone accepts the screen heat the screen and spray the VW40 in the hole where the flat cable of the scree is and let it cool down and repeat but usually you need to do this one’s the VW40 dos not Damen the screen you can only wipe it off with isopropanol.
