- Richard Hammond and Glenda McKay present Better Cars where the team of experts turn their talents to customising, converting, painting or tweaking on lucky viewers very own car. In this episode we go to Yorkshire where Mary and John Sleight entrust their pride and joy 'Dorris' the Morris Minor to the team. While 'Dorris' is transformed Glenda takes Mary and John on a mystery tour to the Heritage Motor Centre and then on a trip to France. Back at the garage Richard watches on as 'Dorris' is gutted and stripped down. Finally Mary and John are reunited with their beloved 'Dorris' looking all shiny and new!
With guests David Swann, Martin Dooner, Richard Bacchus, Steve Blow and Steve Bachelor.

What a lovely programme I had a big smile on my face all the way through it, they managed to fit a lot in in a short time, ok it wouldn't suit the purists among us but the joy it brought to the couple that owned the car was everything, thank you for posting.
Morris minor is my beloved car. I have not this, but if it was a. Continued model of present days, I definitely bought this one. I hope this british car will come back once again.

A moggy is a morris 1000 built from the 1950s to the late 70s Morgan has nothing to do with the nickname at all, ask anybody about a moggy and they will tell you what car it is!

Ah it's not so bad. If they hadn't cut the roof off the show would only have the spectacle of the glove box to ogle. Would work now days with the old resto plus.

What a stupid waste of time - I know there are companies converting Minors, that's not news. Now if they were to restore an old '60s wreck into a concours condition classic, that would be worth watching!
How I hate that colour, so popular in the 60s-70s. "Car-Sickness Vomit Green" I call it; I don't know it's official name - probably "BMC Corporate Filing Cabinet Green".

@@DanafoxyVixen : OK, here is a positive comment to make you happy - I like the dark blue on the Morris Travellers. It goes well with the woodwork. I just hate that shade of green, whatever car it was on.

Balls, no one has ever called a Morgan a 'Moggy'.
@ Morgan owners do call their cars Moggies, but outside of that everyone uses that term for Morris Minors.
As a format, this video must have sucked. Only episode 1 exists.
