@ …….Of course - spread the word - not every-one knows about the cheap veg Aldi & Tesco have ad this Xmas. It’s very rare we get staples at a reasonable price these days, although I can’t see the Growers getting much for their crop if Tesco/Aldi are selling them for that.
@@minkgin3370 ALDI, TESCO, ASDA etc are selling them at a loss. We call this a ''Loss Leader'' in the trade. Even when Carrots are being at 53p we are selling at a loss. l do not work for ALDI, but l did work for ASDA, and it was common at Christmas to sell at a loss in the hope that you will come in and do the rest of you're shopping in the store. The Growers/Wholesalers still get their contracted price.
