Looks safe enough. how do you go back to work a move? Often you are trying to work a move over and over again, so you would need a way to lower down a few feet.
If you use a dynamic rope and have it fixed at bottom of pitch and threaded thru anchors you will have a bunch of stretch in system and you can actually work a move over and over like that, its not perfect but it works, especially if you are just trying to feel the positions and figure out feet. But be careful if you are using a device with a lot of friction on rope, as you near anchors rope can back feed thru and coil on ground. I am used to that and just pull slack back as a near anchors, not a issue with two micro traxions. Or you can buy a Tazlov or use a backed up Neox which is my new method for doing laps on near vertical terrain. Do Not Use Neox without a Back Up device below it. Not Above
This system is great and has made climbing way more fun for both rope soloing and fix and follow multi-pitching. Watch the hownot2 video too if you want the long version of setting this up: ua-cam.com/video/DHgozZxLbyo/v-deo.htmlsi=qJA8upCvfl2R8o8f&t=2233
You should not use the same setup, and not the same devices for lead rope soloing (LRS). Brent Barghahn of Avant uses the grigri plus for LRS. There are half a dozen other devices that can be used for LRS too. Note that a backup device or system should always be used also for LRS. You could look for my online course about it!
The Silent Partner does not work in a TRS system. Someone might do it but clearly not the device you ever want to do TRS with! Maybe I would do a video about that at some point..
I top rope soloed (TRS) a lot on both dynamic and static (aka lol stretch / semi-static). I like a low-stretch rope. Ultra-static ropes should not be used of TRS climbing.
Is working out moves on a prefect with just a gri gri enough safety? With catastrophe knots?

Could you use this setup for lead so you can make your own top rope?

Could you please demo a Silent partner in a TRS system…..

@@YannCamusBlissClimbing I appreciate your thoughts.
@@YannCamusBlissClimbing maybe rope solo not TRS video🤷♂️
@@Aliceswonderclam I have such video in my online course. Get in contact with me if you want access. I cannot post the link here...
Also do you suggest a static rope like beta’s channel?

@@YannCamusBlissClimbing thank you!
Tazlov is bar far the safest and most functional device. Only one thay can lower like a Grigri
