I’ve listened to your music through so many stages of my life. And right now with so much uncertainty in the world, being able to hear your play through your catalog live and describe your own experiences during the pandemic just really means a lot. Thanks and keep doing you Ben G!
I was really surprised by we looked like giants and tiny vessels Both were big songs in my own personal history and standouts on Transatlanticism I think
This is such a gift. When I look back on this strange time, one of the bright lights in the darkness will be these videos. Thanks Ben. Live music is transportive and every day you've taken us someplace.
Ah I absolutely love I Will Posess Your Heart ♥ I remember always loving the album version and getting super excited when it came on over the loud speakers at the clothing store I used to work at.
The whole time you were telling your new year's story, i had some hope that you were using it to introduce "new year", my favorite song of yours. Please please do this one soon. thank you so much for all the shows
"When every Thursday, i'd break those mountain passes, and you skipped your early classes, and we learned how our bodies worked." Is such a killer lyric.
My fiancé sent me a video from a later date and I ended up finding this one. During this time of uncertainty and fear, this is so so appreciated. At 31 years old, DCFC is so nostalgic, from many eras of my life. Standing in the kitchen, at 12:30am, with my two young children sleeping in the bedrooms above my head, as I’m getting ready to finally go to sleep, and listening to this and reminiscing took me away from this crazy time, even if just for 56 minutes.
I’ve tried listening to follow you into the dark without breaking into tears... and failed each time! One of the most touching songs reflecting on that final moment ever 🧎🏻♀️💞🧎🏻♂️🌌
Just what I needed today, thanks Ben 🤗 Still remember my friends and I sway hugging to ‘I will follow you into the dark’ at Brixton Academy, hundreds of gigs later and this is still one of the best gig memories and favourite songs!
Been a fan as long as can remember started in highschool and 96 was the last yr of my highschool adventure...I very much enjoy your music Mr. Gibbard and death cab for cutie..when I was living in Washington stationed at fort Lewis I always thought be cool to get a chance to shake your hand when I would hang out in Seattle but just the way things go. Thanks for what your doing and for all that great music from you guys over the yrs. God bless you all keep u well and safe.
Thank you for this :) I have so many memories attached with your beautiful music. As soon as Title and Registration began, I shed a tear. Thank you. ❤️
Title and registration is one of my faves. 💖 So happy I was able to see The Postal Service back in 2013 I think, Grand Prairie, TX. Dream come true for sure!
Love the anecdote about the name - funny thing about The Killers...their name is actually a reference to the video for the New Order song "Crystal' - there's a fictional band in the video called "The Killers" and that's where the band got their name. So I love that you picked them as the example of just picking a name that isn't an obscure reference when in fact it is! Thank you for doing these live from home videos - they've been such a bright spot in a shadowy time.
I bought the Plans album at a record store when I was young and I left the receipt on the dresser in my room and my mom came in and found it and started crying. I came into my room to find her all teared up and sitting on my bed. I was like "mom what's up?" And she showed me the receipt and said "death cab for cutie? What kind of porn movies are you watching?" I started cracking up...because the record store I bought the album from was also a head shop that sold adult movies she automatically assumed I was watching some kind of fucked up snuff porn or something lol.
I can't disagree with the set list. Brothers on a hotel bed would have been great. I wish I had 1/10th the talent of Ben. Thank you for taking the time to put this out, it means a lot to all of us.
Thank you so much for making so beautiful, meaningful and incredible music! 15 years has been left since I've listened to Death Cab For Cutie for the very first time and i've never stopped since then. Thanks, Ben! Stay safe!
"Soul Meets Body" is the first song I heard from Ben and DCFC. I was hanging out at my best friend's house. We heard it on it one of those Dish music channels. However we didn't didn't catch the name of the song or the band, so we watched and listened for two weeks until it came up again.
I can't really describe how happy these streams have made me the last two weeks. they're bittersweet but I think these have been the biggest "upside" to the coronavirus pandemic. I remember the first one of these I tuned in for was one the fourth day of quarantine here in Ireland and I was really freaking out. but listening to you made me feel ok :) and then when the district sleeps alone started I just started crying. I'd been trying to ignore how scared and lonely I was feeling but I kinda just let it all out singing along to my favourite postal service song. cheesy, I know, but it meant the world to me. thank you :) stay safe
I sing "I Will Follow You Into the Dark" to my son, Henry, almost every night :) He's heard either this or Coldplay's "Yellow" from me since the day I brought him home
I work in DC and almost every day when I put on my official badge to go into work I thought of the line "wear my badge" from "The District Sleeps Alone Tonight." Who knows when I'll be back to wearing my badge and going to the office.
Hey Ben. You have a special gift it's one called a soul so many people lack these days. Thanks for being the complexed character you are comfortable with
Just re-listened to all of Ben's quarantine livestreams and I've decided this is my favorite. Edit: Upon realizing this is the top 10 stream, I fully understand I may be viewed as being quite basic. So be it.
Hi Ben, here's a shout-out from Singapore! Thank you for your daily shows - my wife and I have been to all your concerts in Singapore but this tops them all; what you're doing in this difficult time is really inspiring. For Sunday covers could you play "For Lovers" by Pete Doherty? Played this for our wedding and we thought it'd sound awesome with you on the piano :)
The line “And reading aloud from magazines.” hits me particularly hard. I recorded a song once that required noises of people drinking and partying so a couple of friends, I and my ex love decided to clang bottles together while all reading a different paragraph from different magazines to get the effect of conversations. She was the one that got away and every time I hear that line, I think of that.

Looks like a recap of a lot of songs he already played
I’ve listened to your music through so many stages of my life. And right now with so much uncertainty in the world, being able to hear your play through your catalog live and describe your own experiences during the pandemic just really means a lot. Thanks and keep doing you Ben G!
A great show, but I especially love We Looked Like Giants. I didn't expect to hear that favorite.
I was really surprised by we looked like giants and tiny vessels
Both were big songs in my own personal history and standouts on Transatlanticism I think
This is such a gift. When I look back on this strange time, one of the bright lights in the darkness will be these videos. Thanks Ben. Live music is transportive and every day you've taken us someplace.
Yay finally tiny vessels! Thank you so much!
Literally cry every time I hear Tiny Vessels......such a beautiful song and to hear it live in this intimate setting makes it all the more sad.
Thank you for A Lack of Color. All the memories flooded back.
The daily t-shirt selection is a bonus treat.
Not sure any bedroom covid performance will beat this one. This one brought back memories.
your music has been with me my whole life. thank you so much, ben. stay safe!!
I have fallen back in love with his songs and I had no idea how genuinely nice a guy he is. This has been an absolute pleasure to watch. Thanks Ben.
Just heard “Life in Quarantine”. Thank you so much for giving voice to what so many of us are feeling.
Thank you so much. This particular setlist was much needed and affirming. I look forward to you every day. It's hard out there in Essentialandia.

I WILL POSSESS YOUR HEART, YESSSSSSS!

The whole time you were telling your new year's story, i had some hope that you were using it to introduce "new year", my favorite song of yours. Please please do this one soon. thank you so much for all the shows
Loving this idea, just chilling while Ben Gibbard plays us some tunes. There's something very cozy about this. :)
Thanks for these short wonderful travels through time
I've been getting up early for these live shows, since I'm from the other side of the world. Thank you for this, Ben. ❤️
"A simple prop to occupy my time" This one goes out to the one I love.
I watched a few of your live broadcasts and I was always impressed. I must tip my hat to you Mr. Gibbard.
Hearing Transatlanticism was amazing. What great choices and such a treat.
Such a lovely man he is I've listened to his music since I was very young.
How awesome is this for the fans
What a gift you are to us all Ben. Such a talented man. Thank you for these
if i die from this i can at least say i finally

"When every Thursday, i'd break those mountain passes, and you skipped your early classes, and we learned how our bodies worked." Is such a killer lyric.
This gives me life. ❤️🙏🏼
Thank you for this 🙏🏻 best set list ... this was wonderful
So trusty, thank you!
I would have put into the dark at no 1 too, it’s my favorite song you’ve ever written.

Thank you for kind words of humanity
Cheering us all with light 🌟 thank you
Please play Little Wanderer!! One of my all time favorites.
I’ve tried listening to follow you into the dark without breaking into tears... and failed each time! One of the most touching songs reflecting on that final moment ever 🧎🏻♀️💞🧎🏻♂️🌌

It's so nice to see that there are lots of people that care about other human beings regardless of where they come from.
We looked like giants followed by tiny vessels. Thank you corona virus for blessing us with this content from Ben 😭😭😭
Awesome! Ben is such a great songsmith.
This was great. Thank you so much for doing this and for sharing your gift. Huge fan and grateful you streamed and posted this.

I liked your music but after your comments on immigration i truly admire you.
I can't disagree with the set list. Brothers on a hotel bed would have been great. I wish I had 1/10th the talent of Ben. Thank you for taking the time to put this out, it means a lot to all of us.
Thank you for playing my arrangements of these songs, especially on my thirty-fifth birthday. This makes me feel very special. :)
Thank you so much for making so beautiful, meaningful and incredible music! 15 years has been left since I've listened to Death Cab For Cutie for the very first time and i've never stopped since then. Thanks, Ben! Stay safe!

You are truly an awesome guy, Ben. Thanks for doing this while all the craziness is going on.

Just re-listened to all of Ben's quarantine livestreams and I've decided this is my favorite. Edit: Upon realizing this is the top 10 stream, I fully understand I may be viewed as being quite basic. So be it.

I would love to see tutorials on some of these songs. I think it could be a cool idea.
I ❤ you with all of my love!!
Hey Bennny. It’s ya bois. We here in quarantine. We got the Covid. We’re gonna be ok. 👌 we’re singing our throats out. Thank you.. beautiful music!!!
Yay most of my favourites were on this list! Transatlantism has to be the best album they have ever written. Hands down!
thx for doing this ,much appreciated
I'm scared to scroll through the comments and get spoiled...
