As someone older, I can remember how much better tasting when red Twizzlers were when they were made in Montreal. Production was moved to the US where they don't use sugar and the flavour was noticeably different and not in a good way. The same thing happened when Cheerio production was moved to the States, at the time we compared the ingredient list and certain ingredients were missing and they too tasted different.
Ah no! Such a shame isn’t it when they change the recipe. Never the same again!
My husband was born in England and moved to north Manitoba when he was 11, huge culture shock but he loved it. We live in Ontario and we do say eh at the end of a sentence. Also, my grandparents were friends with Tim Horton's parents. I was a Canadian Brownie and then a Girl Guide and the cookies were way better back then.
So glad he loved the move!! Woah 😱 That is sooo awesome!!! So amazing they knew them!
I've been a Canadian Girl Guide for 21 years now - I'm currently 26 years old, so have been a leader for about 8 of those years. I got so excited when I saw the box of our cookies sitting on your counter!! So glad you enjoyed them. I think you'll love the mint chocolate cookies that we sell in the Fall.
Amazing!! Love this 😀😀 hopefully one day we can try more!
i dont mean to be off topic but does anybody know of a tool to get back into an Instagram account?
I was dumb forgot the login password. I would appreciate any assistance you can offer me
@Rene Dominic I really appreciate your reply. I found the site on google and im in the hacking process now.
Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will reply here later with my results.
@Rene Dominic it worked and I finally got access to my account again. I'm so happy:D
Thanks so much, you saved my account :D
@Shepherd Theo no problem xD
You need to have the Dad’s cookies dipped in tea!
Yes!!! I second this!
I really don't like dipping into my tea! Alex does though so he will have to try it!
Feels great to be seeing a UA-camr enjoying Canadians snacks I’m from Winnipeg.
😀 we loved them!!
🇨🇦 Haven’t heard of Dollies. However my mother came from England, and called my Dad Doll, her brother Dolly, and our pet parrot Dolly. I gathered Dolly was some sort of English name.
Ah no way! Love that 😀💗
Thanks for enjoying treats from my country.
We loved them 🥰 thanks for watching!
I live 5 minutes away from bdi and it just reopened for the spring!!
I love the bdi I haven’t gone in years though. I live closer to st.vital and southdale area. So it’s a bit of a drive to go to the bdi.
Yaaaay!!!
Big turks are so yummy, but I find it’s a love it or hate it thing here. And I’m so happy to finally see someone else try a cherry blossom! I finally know what they are like! 🙈
Yeah definitely a love or hate thing!! Yaaay!!! Glad we could finally show you what they're like!
Yay Canada making it into the videos ❤️🙏🏻
😀❤️
The tim hortons bars are a fairly new product, not just the flavor, they brought out a line of granola bars recently. Also, beignet doesn’t mean chewy it translates more to the « fritter » ☺️
That's so cool!! Glad we could try them when they were pretty new! Ahhh thank you Julie!
One of these days you should try your "treat of the week" dance backwards. LOL
oh my word 😂now that would confuse us haha
In Canada , there are multiple levels of girl guides. The first is Sparks , then Brownies, then girl guides , pathfinders, then Rangers
Boys have a similar set up. Beavers, Cubs, Scouts , Venturers and Rovers.
Thank you for explaining Kira
Oh Kate, you got me! I actually thought you were gonna take a bite of those dog treats!! Too funny. You guys laugh together as only siblings can. Love y'all!
haha, good acting then 😆Such a good laugh! Love you too
I was a girl guide! It’s always so fun seeing others eat Canadian snacks! Some of these I’ve never seen before!
Yes, the beignet is fritter - and I was a Brownie and Guides. I didn't go on but I have friends that went on through the other Girl Guide groups and now are a leader of a troop. I went to Brownie camp and Guide camp - but as Canadian camping is normal. And it is always helpful to have an inside person to get the Girl Guide cookies. When I was a Brownie I travelled to the UK and went to a Brownie troop and talked to them and it was strange how similar and different it was from my Canadian version. And Milkbone cookies are my dogs favourite. We have had dogs with acid reflux and the milk bones are good to give to them when they get nauseous. I had a dog with epilepsy and after a seizure, he would want milk bones.
Thanks Miranda! Haha love that!! I have heard that it can be really hard to get the cookies so it's definitely great knowing someone on the inside 😂No way!!!! That is so cool! Could you imagine if you came to my Brownie troop and we just didn't know we had met!!
Ahh that is so sweet! Good to know they are good for if they feel nauseous!
Sugar high much? Wow, guys, all that giggling made me laugh too! But, on a serious note the second half of the box certainly lived up to the first - the Turkish Delight would be my TotW! Thanks to Katie and Andy in Manitoba for some great treats!
I know right 😂I was cracking up! So glad we could make you laugh too! Yeah this second half was amazing!! Katie and Andy know how to pack great boxes! 😍
You absolutely nailed the pronunciation of Saskatchewan! High fives all around.
No way!!! 😀😀😀😀
Was about to comment the same thing. Almost no one outside of SK actually pronounces it correctly.
Canadian Viewer! I was a Girl Guide, and now a Scout. The mint cookies they sell in the fall/winter are my favorite! They're the best frozen 🧊
They seem to be a lot of people’s number one! We will hopefully get to try them one day 😀
I love Canada and its snacks so much 😍❤️🇨🇦
Us too ! 😀
Yass Canada!! Greetings from Victoria xx
@@kates7277 I'm in Victoria too!! 👋👋👋
Canada is on my bucket list how wheelchair accessible is it ?
I feel special 🥰🥰🇨🇦🇨🇦🍁🍁
I absolutely love that you got another box (aside from mine) from Winnipeg!! I'm so glad you got to try the Russian mints the way they're meant to be eaten! I had never heard of or seen a dollie mixture until this video
We thought about you when trying this! So awesome to try another Winnipeg box. Those Russian Mints are so delicious 😋No way! You'll have to see if you like them
@@ThisWithThem I hadn't quite finished the video when I commented. There's actually a huge Nutty Club mural in Winnipeg, on their old factory
@@ThisWithThem I was a Girl member of Girl Guides from the ages of 8-17, then I became a leader until I was 32
Dads oatmeal cookies were my entire childhood. And when we got the ones with chocolate chips, it was a party. And the Girl Scout cookies, the thin mints taste like mint Oreos sooo good.
love that!!! Mmm yum!! Those thin mints sound good 😍
I have a box of them at home😂
Tim Hortons products you can now buy in grocery stores (besides the normal coffee, tea, hot chocolate, cold ice Capp drinks, etc) are:
soups (chicken noodle, cream of broccoli, chicken & rice, tomato Parmesan & homestyle chili).
The snack bars (apple fritter, double chocolate & salted caramel).
Timbit cereals (birthday cake & chocolate glazed).
Cafe mocha flavoured cereal.
Double double, French vanilla & dark roast chocolate bars.
Those are all in my area anyways, could be more in others or even in other provinces :).
Love keeping a stock of timmys soup at home for cold days
The people behind the OMG candy originally rose to fame with a similar candy called Clodhoppers. It was very popular and they sold the brand to Brookside chocolates (a division of hersheys).
Brookside not long after rebranded as a "healthy" chocolate company and stopped making clodhoppers.
The group then went on Dragons Den and got financing to create the similar but legally different line of OMG chocolates.
One of your favorite Canadian viewers here! Hitting me with the nostalgia AGAIN?! I love you two! ❤️❤️
Yaaaay!!! So glad we could bring back some nostalgia for you ❤️❤️Love you too!
Greetings from Victoria!!
I love that Canadian dictionary. What a cool addition to that great box. Thanks for guessing words' meanings in this video too!
So cool isn't it!! Loved it! So glad you enjoyed it
I want to send you guys a box so bad but I’m from Idaho and I know you’ve already received a box from Idaho already and don’t want to send you things you’ve already received! Love your videos so much and look forward to a new one all the time! Love from Boise, Idaho in the states!
Hey Breanna, thank you so much for wanting to send us a box! So kind and thoughtful of you! ❤️So pleased to hear you love our videos!
Dad’s oatmeal, chocolate chips are my faves!
They're really delicious 😋
there is double double or mocha tim hortons bars! yes they are called girl guides here, sparks or and brownies
I realize this is 2 years old. I was a Brownie my motto was( if I can remember this ) - Here we come the spiritly ( something ) in the night. Almost 60 can't remember it all. Stay safe & take care of you all. Thanks for sharing, eh :))
When I was a kid, my Dad would say " hey don't eat my cookies... see, my name is on the box!
Love Dad's cookies, they have more flavours and chocolate covered ones too!
haha love that 😂classic dad line! 😂haha
Oh cool!
I wish all siblings could be such great friends as you two 😍😍 So wonderful to watch your videos 💖 Love from Rebekka in Iceland 💖
I was a Brownie and then a Girl Guide! (many years ago, lol!!)
🥰🥰 so much fun!
I love how confused you sound when describing Canadian Tire. It is a very strange place 🤣
haha 😂
Do they still have Canadian Tire money?
@@mayloo2137 I believe they took the money out and replaced it with reward like cards.
I bought a great pair of sheets at Canadian Tire. LOL Cheers from Winnipeg 😀
Beignets, pronounced “been ye” as in Kanye, are fried dough balls covered in powdered sugar. They are a New Orleans treat that are delicious hot out of the fryer! Another great video, love all the dancing and laughing, always makes me smile 🥰😂❤️
Ahh yes that’s them! Thank you Alexandra 😀
Glad we could make you smile 🥰♥️
Love the laughs today..."oh dearie me i think the sugar is going to my head"...LOL.XO from New Brunswick Canada...
Haha the sugar was definitely getting to us 😂So glad you enjoyed them Marilyn!
Not all areas of Canada say Eh at the end of a sentence, I come from Nova Scotia and no one here says it. I think it’s said more in Ontario and further West.
I was a Brownie and Girl Guide, a long time ago and we sold cookies then.
Love watching your videos! You’ll have to come to Nova Scotia and try out our French Acadian dishes and our seafood is awesome as well.
Ah I see! So more of a thing only certain areas say!
Thank you Lisa! So nice to hear you love watching our videos! We would love to visit Nova Scotia one day 😀
I was a Brownie & a Girl Guide! The Canadian girl guide rankings are Sparks (ages 5 & 6), Brownies (7&8), Guides (9-11), Pathfinders (12-14) & Rangers (15-17+). The mint cookies are the best! 💕
Thank you April! 💗
I live in Victoria, BC, and can confirm I say "Eh" frequently and so do a lot of my friends and family 😂😂
haha love it!! 😂
Hahah sameee
Such a great second parter!! You two were cracking me up with your giggles today!! Jace was so excited because you’re both wearing astronauts and he’s wearing his black astronaut hoodie, so he of course felt like a baller seeing you guys wearing something similar. So many good ones to add to the list!! We’ve tried lots of Maynards stuff 😋 and so excited to find those Turkish delight bites!! You said the magic words: MARVELOUS CREATIONS 🙌🏼🤣 so now those are definitely on the list! Give extra hugs and loves to Bob and Penny! We got them stuff for the next box we’re prepping! You’re gonna crack up when you see what we got them! Oh my gosh, well please know we’re all sending you our hugs and loves, as always! Cheers to another amazing upcoming week to you two, and all in your world! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Hey Somer!! we were having too much fun in this one 😂
Ah no way!! Love that we were all matching today 😀❤️
You definitely need to try the mini Turkish delight bites. As you love Marvelous creations too I think you will love them! 😍We will give them a squeeze from you! SOMER!!!! You don't need to send us another box!! You already sent us such an amazing box..... which reminds me.... your box is coming so soon!!! Hope you love watching it! Sorry it took so long.
Sending lots of love and hugs to you all ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Love Big Turk and Dad's Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies, so delicious ☺️
Kate and Alex, your channel is such a blessing, so entertaining.
Thank you so much Ben!! Means a lot
@@ThisWithThem your welcome Kate. Just got a Fitbit watch, do you and Alex have one?
Love Turkish Delight, but is an acquired taste for some. Fancy molasses is actually a term to refer to the type of molasses as it is sweeter and milder than blackstrap molasses which refers to molasses that has been boiled a third time and is more bitter. Fancy molasses is used more for baked goods and sweets. The Cherry Blossom is my fav though, so glad you were sent those.
Omg this video has me cracking up! You two are so funny but this one Kate was just cracking herself up so much I was dying lmao 😂
Haha I couldn’t stop cracking up. Especially at the end 😂😂
I really enjoy watching you guys trying things my mouth is watering!!
I can’t wait to go back to PEI i miss my Canadian family love watching these videos
Hope you can go back soon Stephanie!! So glad you enjoy watching our videos ❤️
Watch every week you guys are awesome
Been excited for this - best thing to come home from work to! Loved the dictionary...can't believe you didn't know what a deke was but I guess the world isn't as hockey obsessed as Canada :) Also great to see Girl GUIDE cookies for once instead of Girl Scout. It always feels like our treats play second fiddle but they deserve the limelight too! Much love from Victoria BC xx
Yaay!! 😃😃 hope work went well today Kate! We had no clue 😂😂 we will have to do more of those!
Ah yaay! I’m glad they were girl guide cookies too 🥰 love to you too xx
@@ThisWithThem xo Must be late in the uk - get some sleep!
Also i love that in every video alex always has some hair poking through the front of his hat 😂 makes me chuckle 😂😁
hahaha has to be poking out just a bit 😂
Suits him ngl 😂
You two have an awesome sibling relationship!! Hard to believe you are siblings...
We are very lucky that we get on so well!
seeing u 2 giggle in the beg just made my day made me smile thank you!
Yaaay so glad we could help make your day Natasha! ❤️
I was literally cackling at the “much too good for children” 😂 Matilda was one of my favourite movies as a kid!
Also, I’m currently watching this while drinking an iced Capp so I’m feeling very Canadian right now 😅🇨🇦
Ps. Your videos are getting me though my masters program right now, so thank you! 😊👏🏻
Such a great movie isn't it! Definitely one of my faves from my childhood.
Haha love it!!
Oh wow!! Hope that's going well Alyssa. Good luck with it all ❤️
@@ThisWithThem thank you so much!!
Ohhh, I did not get the reference and was so confused. It's been years since I've seen that movie
Great treats. You all had the giggles tonight. Made my night.🥰

Your videos are genuinely fuelling my whole lockdown. Yous are honestly amazing !!
Such a lovely comment. Thank you ♥️♥️
I was a Canadian Girl Guide (spark, brownie & pathfinder as well 🙂)
I'm just glad that Winnipeg produced something that's both beautiful and that people from around the world can appreciate.
I absolutely laughed so hard! “Much too good for children” 🤣 I love the candy too! This is my favorite video & I’ve watched so many of yours!
A fan from Southern California 💗
Ps. I’ve got a Canadian guest right now. :)
Haha i love doing that way too much 😂So pleased to hear this Dawn!! Thank you 😀
Nice to see the Nutty Club sweets. Here, in Calgary, I've seen the Nutty Club nuts in local Safeways.
Enjoyed watching this! Everything looks delicious.
Thanks Amy! 😀
@@ThisWithThem You are welcome.
Yayyy!! finally on time as I missed you last video I just finished watching it 😅 so excited love you Kate and Alex 💞💕
Perfect timing! Hope you enjoy watching Alisha! ❤️Love you too
I was so excited to see that you got sent Dads! My Dad and I genuinely spent so many snacks enjoying these together, though I prefer the originals without chocolate and he loves the choco chips
HEY kate and alex loved the part 1 and can't wait to see part2 :)
Yay so glad you did! Enjoy part 2!
Oooh what a box!!!! Oh..and you got Ganong's chocolate. St Stephen (NB) has the perfect little Ganong's chocolate shop. Their best products in my eyes are Chicken Bones (Cinnamon & Chocolate) 🥰 Thanks for the video!
Such a great box!! I still find it so funny they call it Chicken Bones! I thought they were actually chicken when I first heard of that 😂Thank you for watching
I'm so excited for this video!!! ♥️ 🇿🇦
Yaaaay!! Enjoy Amica!
Awesome video guys...love watching you guys enjoy Canadian treats! Off to listen to Candy Man on Spotify, it's gonna be stuck in my head now! haha
Thanks guys 😀😀 haha good luck with that being stuck in your head for a while now 😂
Y’all were cracking me up on this one😂😂I think Kate might have had too many sweets at the end😂😂😂
I definitely think I had too much sugar too 😂😂
I LOVE Cherry Blossoms, maybe too much. And Dad's cookies are best dipped in tea.
You all were so silly I was laughing so hard!!🤣🤣
Haha we were really having a good laugh 😂😂 glad you were laughing with us!
I love you guys. The last part is very funny and I couldn't stop laughing! I like a funny person. Thank you Kate and Alex! Looking forward to the next video coming soon!
So glad you enjoyed laughing along with us! We couldn't stop cracking up 😂
I tried Turkish Delight for the first time about 5 months ago and love it!
I’ve never seen Twislers gummies!!
THEY WERE AMAZING
That is because The Twislers gummies candy is actually not from Canada 🇨🇦🍁, but The Twislers gummies candy is actually and original from The United States of America 🇺🇸 and Twislers gummies candy is actually original made in The State of Pennsylvania, Lancaster, Pennsylvania in The United States of America 🇺🇸, by the way my friend 🙂😎✌️
I was a Brownie and a Guide in Toronto when I was a kid. In my 30's I joined as a leader, to give back the great experiences I had when I was a young girl. The best part of Guiding here in Ontario was the camps and I would make sure to take my Brownies and Guides at least 4 times a year. I was a leader for over 20 years but sadly had to leave due to health issues. My basement used to have boxes, and boxes and cases of cookies each spring and fall. Hope you enjoy them. By the way, the cookies are made by Dare.
Go Habs ;)
@@kates7277 hahaha
That is so wonderful and kind of you to want to give back the great experience too! Sorry you had to stop! ❤️
Beignet loosely means fritter or doughnut. Beignets are these powdered fried dough they sell in New Orleans.
thank you Karen 😀
It was so cute watching you attack the chocolate box. My two nephews stole a box of chocolate from my sister when they were 4 and 5. I swear you two looked exactly like them when I caught them in the closet.😀
Haha 😂😂 we were going for it weren’t we 😂😂 love that story about your nephews!
Love it when you two have had too much sugar!!!!! So funny!!!!
omg when you guys did the "too good for children" bit, i couldnt breathe i was laughing so hard

Hey Kirsty!! We are doing well thank you. Hope you are well too. xxx
🐶 Lovely to see you Bob and Penny !! Hopefully you continue feeling better Bob. 🐕 🍀
Feels like ages since they've been in our videos!
I was a brownie for a day. I found out I didn't play well with others. (I was really shy also). My older sister was a brownie and then a girl guide. (in Australia) . I've never seen cookies here by the girl guides (I had girl scout ones in the USA one time)
Also, I hate Turkish delight haha.
Love this video (well, I love all your videos)
Ah no! That's a shame but it really isn't for everyone! Being shy is so hard at groups like that!
So glad you loved this video ❤️
Love this video stay safe guys
Yay thanks Nour! Stay safe too!
Love the video I am from Canada and I’ve never seen a lot of these snacks so I will have to try and find them.
Definitely go out and find them! You’ll have to have your own taste test 🥰

Big Turk is one of my favorites.
Kate, there’s a new brownie promise since 2013 ‘I promise that I will do my best: To be true to myself and develop my beliefs, To serve the Queen and my community. To help other people and to keep the Brownie Guide Law.’
I love your videos.
No way!! 😱😱 gutted it’s not the same from when I was younger. I’ll have to try re learn that!
Thank you so much Amanda

Cereal!! That's so cool!
My grandmas sister’s husbands family owns the mordens chocolates. Definitely a staple chocolate in Manitoba!
