I truly believe in confession, but I have many discussions with other Catholics and they say, we ask for forgiveness during Mass for our sins and they feel The Lamb of God takes away our sins during Mass. I have friends that are Lutheran and they truly believe this and do not attend confession. Is this the Slow Boil Into Hell that the devil is also wanting us to believe, that we don’t need to attend confession? I also try so very hard after confession to make true contrition, but it is a hard.

This was practically exactly in the book entitled: "Preparation for Death", I think by St. Louis de Montfort - which was read more than once in Catholic weekly religion class on Wednesday evenings during the academic school year ... when I was in Junior High School, and when I was in the first two years of High School!
It’s best we go for regular confession as we can easily be tempted by Satan all the time to put “ Our Will” before God’s & make the wrong decisions as Fr Christino says…. ✝️🙏
My new prayer.... Dear Jesus please help me to be truly contrite for my sins, so as fully renounce the evils of sin and win heaven!
Thank you Fr. Christino and Ken, because I have been there. Thank you Lord for cleaning house in my soul and confession, does that once we’re serious. When one ignores our wrong doing and keep on sining you don’t know where you’re really going to end up at any given time, which is very frightening. 😧 I just want to say brothers and sisters, it’s scary, because once choose hell,! those doors are close for eternity and there is no way back. You will be there for eternity, have mercy on those that are already condemning themselves, because God is a loving God, because he can not be untrue to his own self. God is a loving God not a condemning God. That’s why the devil is the devil. He really hates you and wants you to hate yourself so you can hate others to bring others to hell that his job, but God is much greater than that, Amen! If you forgive somebody from the heart positive + will come back to you, but if you keep hating and not forgiving negativity will definitely come back to you. So, brothers and sisters we keep praying for the living and deceased no matter what journey we’re in and the graces will shower upon us, Amen! Excellent reflections as always with you both. Too bad trolls find their way in the comments. They are wasting their time with us devout Catholics. Sadly they will eventually find out how wrong they were. Hopefully it'll be before Judgment Day.

Thank you so much for the analogy. For Lent, I have decided to go to confession weekly to ensure that come Easter morning, by God's grace I will be ready for Easter.
I have been inspired by this discussion, as I have others this Lent. Open my eyes, Lord, that I might see the opportunities you give me to put hate aside, give grace to those around me, offer up the inconveniences instead of cursing them and, most of all, draw closer in love and devotion to you. For better or worse we live in a psychological age and two figures quite popular our Jordan Peterson and Gabor Mate. Conservatives like him for his tough tighten up your bootstrap approach to escape your personal hell. The other is Gabor who links everything to inherit trauma and the toxicity within the environment and those are common ideas amongest liberals. Probably both have a bit of truth. I like bishop Barron a lot because he is able to take the best of both worlds and tie them to a living tradition and an example he frequently gives his Dante. Dante was exiled from his homeland due to political instability and saw art as a process to sclupte personal improvement through art that gives glory to God.
There is no such thing as "cheap grace." It came at a great price and if we don't value it as such, it will show in our impoverished level of true contrition and our desire to live more perfectly in the Divine Will.
Spiritual blindness leading to slow boil into hell. This is something I did not realise so thanks for sharing Fr. Cristino and Ken.

Thanks Fr.Christino and Ken, for opening my eyes with my blindness to sin and make-up with confession.

They with ears to hear, let them hear:
Through the Holy Spirit, God has put it on me to preach to those lost in the devil's deceit!
Hear me when I say, ye that are Catholic have been deceived and know not God. Ye worship Mary, praying to her; when God tells his to worship none other than him. It is idolatry.
Catholicism has its own Bible and teachings, which are blasphemous to the word of God: the Holy Bible. As ye follow the teachings of man and not God; ye hear the pope, but not Jesus, yet ye claim to be his disciples!
These are but a few things I named ye dwell within; there are many more. I tell you now to repent of your sins, accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, and you'll receive the gift of the Holy Spirit upon asking the Father!
There are *NO* sub-divisions of Christianity. You're either a disciple of Christ or not. A Christian is someone who follows God's word, not a religion. Who obey the Father and follow his will; not man's nor their own heart's. Unless you keep Jesus' commandments, think not the Holy Spirit will dwell within you!
They who heed this message and did what was stated with an open heart to God...
