SPECTACULAR and TURBULENT Arrival Over Mountains | Visual Approach to Burbank Airport RWY 15 | MSFS

- This is a visual approach into runway 15 at Hollywood Burbank/Bob Hope Airport in Burbank, California, in Microsoft Flight Simulator. Landings on runway 15 are fairly rare, as there is no published approach for this runway. Landings on runway 8 are more common. However, it contains some very beautiful scenery over the mountains. I encountered some turbulence over the mountains which made things a bit more interesting.

The reason for the speedbrakes/spoilers behaving like they are is due to the fact that this is a 3rd party add-on plane (PMDG 737-800) which uses custom modeling, and so the replay capture tool (which is also a 3rd party tool) cannot accurately record certain variables. They were not behaving like this in real-time.
wow ... this is so realistic, I started feeling drowsy and sleepy like I do on planes after a few mins of watching it hahahahahaha 🤣🤣🤣 If there's the announcements and ding dong sound effect, I will be asking for a cup of water soon!!
Dude, I didn’t read the title, and the graphics were so real, I thought it was real, but what gave it away was that your speedbrakes were out the entire time,😂😂, nice video. Enjoyed!
That was an issue with the flight recording tool I used at the time. It would show the speedbrake extended in the PMDG 737 (when in the actual flight it wasn't.) Haven't used that tool since then so I'm not sure if this is still the case.
just need a bit of dirt and specks on the window for extra realism
Just wondering, is it normal to have the air brakes deployed for so much during a descent?
If the plane needs to be slowed down, the spoilers will be used as needed (though not fully extended until touchdown.) However, keep in mind that this is a 3rd party addon plane (PMDG 737) which uses custom modeling, and so the flight replay recorder (which is also a 3rd party tool) can't accurately record certain variables. It is greatly exaggerating the amount of spoiler usage here.
Yes
In usual operations, youll prolly barely use any spoilers. Idk why this guy used them so much. Only time i use spoilers is if im on vatsim and atc is giving me a steep descent.
