If you thought it wasn't helpful, let me know what was confusing.
you made explaining it so easy to understand man thank you
Absolutely absurd how long it took me to find a video that explains this simply
thanks for the info... btw i love the enthusiasm
Been trying to find vids for a while and this is the best step by step so far!
Thanks for the info! I had my OBS setup for Window Capture with VRChat and it didn't make the video come out properly! I guess using Game Capture makes it work differently! Anyways thanks again
Thank you SO MUCH!!
ohh I see!
For those wondering about the "echo" , that means you have too many audio input/output sources open at once, essentially doubling up on the noise. OBS usually likes to start you off with default input and output audio so make sure you only have 1 of each setup.
Also if you are having issues with getting the video to fit in the available space, you can use your mouse to move the video around and or crop it in the square using OBS.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO xo
Ur so underratedd
Wow thank you so much

Thanks so much dude got it working just by watching this vid
Hey I'm late but can you show how you set up your camera to look at what your looking at? I am confused on that part
Thanks
Can we do this with oculus vrchat?
Unfortunately, no. You can record what you see through your eyes but that's about it.
How to I get the stream cam on my vr chat? And how do I connect vr chat to obs
Is there supposed To be some kind of connection between obs and the vr chat for those options in vr to show up?
Also the stream option in the camera on v r doesn't show up for me.
Basically I can't get any of the stream to v r chat options to show up.
Can u make an oculus tutorial ?
Currently the streaming camera is unavailable for quest users and is a PC user only feature, so this method will not work for quest users.
Yeah, I play VRChat on pc, I don't have Oculus and I use a headset to speak through
Hey there DreamZ. Do I have to open up vrc on virtual desktop or I can just open the app from the headset itself?
Nice avatar where'd you get it?
Sadly, it doesn't exist anymore. Or at least the one I had doesn't.
Does the Stream Camera also work in Desktop mode?
where can I find this skin?
my oculus audio and mic isnt appearing i that an issue with the pc or the oculus?
How do we use airlink? So we download the steam vrchat and then we airlink?
It's quite complicated process to simply type out, however I will start with the basics.
*Edit, before attempting this, is to know whether or not your PC is VR ready. In other words, to see if your computer can handle VR, if you are unsure click the link below and download the software and check to see if your PC can handle VR, if it can then continue reading, if not, then don't bother with the rest.*

1. You will need Oculus Software to pair your oculus headset to your PC, in order to do this you will first need to setup your headset with the software so it recognizes it.
In the link scroll down until you see your headset and download the software.

2. Once the software is downloaded, installed, and set up correctly, your next step is to pair the oculus software with your in game oculus settings. (This is the airlink part)

Hope this helps.
I have a vr ready pc and obs and on pc but the stream camera doesnt work
Can we use a Mac?
How do I connect all my vr stuff to my Pc/mac?
Ok I came here to learn how to record in Vrchat, but I am curious, do you ever get little kids saying you're ripping off the Minecraft UA-camr Dream lol?
i dont have a stream mod in my camera how do i enable?
If I plug my oculus into my laptop will this work?
That depends on how good of a laptop you have, you will need a SteamVR ready computer, and the Oculus software.
To check to see if your computer can handle it, you will have to download steam, and check to see if your computer can run VR.

Will we need to plug in the headset to the computer while recording or can we unplug
If you are using the link method using a cable, then yes you will have to keep the cable plugged in during the duration of recording.
However, if you are using the link method using Wi-Fi (Oculus's airlink or virtual desktop) then no cable will be required.
But sadly these methods are for PC users only.
do you need any cords to do so?
The setup I'm using in this video is Oculus Quest 2 and PC linked with a USB-C to USB-3.0 cable. (USB-C to USB-C will also work if your motherboard or graphics card has a USB-C slot).
You might be able to do it through airlink (Oculus's wireless option) however I have not tested this myself.
If you are using quest only, this method won't work.
Instead what you can do is just use the recording option within the quest settings. This will allow you to record through your avatar eyes but not the camera.
I’m curious as to how youtubers who use this for their videos are able to switch between the camera and the eye point-of-view
I think all you have to do is turn off the streaming camera and it will go automatically to your eyes, then once you turn the camera back on it goes back to the camera. But I could be wrong. There might be an easier way.
@@dreamz7287 yeah, but you know how in their videos the switch is so flawless with like how you finish a sentence and in the cut to your eyes there is not like "shouldn’t there be something there" feeling to it
@@purgeblue are you sure they’re not just using the switch in the camera to flip to the front camera and back camera like you can do with an iPhone?
Are you sure it’s their eyes?
@@dreamz7287 i’m very use. They have the stream camera at a pretty good distance from themselves showing the whole avatar and suddenly its cut to their eyes
@@purgeblue interesting, I’ll have to look into that!
Wha bout the peeps who dont have a pc?
Currently the streaming camera is unavailable for quest users, while I think there are maybe 1 or 2 workarounds for quest users, I personally feel those workarounds aren't aren't reliable enough to recommend, sorry about that.
@@dreamz7287 will it work for a Mac computer?

What requirements do I need to have quest 2 Vrc to show on pc
It’s better if you download the steam version and then airlink it onto your oculus
Can we use a Mac computer
Depends, give this a read

do you need to have obs running in the background whenever you want to use it?
Yea
What is the setting for the streamer camera I’m on desktop
I’m not sure about now, but when I made this video the handheld photo/stream camera was only available for PC VR users. Meaning not desktop.
@@dreamz7287 ok thanks
Do i have to connect my headset
How do we get the stream camera
I cant get a oculus until nt birthday bruh so for mean while anyone how to record urself on pc
I think this is completely for pc and you don't need a headset-
the streaming camera button doesnt show up for me
Same
Can u do it with vr whitout pc to
I don’t think so man
Also how to I change avatar to exllent rn it’s poor
My pc keeps : (
I know theres quite a few people who record/stream their stuff "vlog style" where the view is always on the perspective of the camera. I never really know why people do it when the view at times can be just as disorienting with shaky hands or constant movement. The way I use to do it when I was really into the game was have my Oculus Mirror with stabilizing and smoothness going for the main view people see, and then the games camera going on the bottom corner showing the character I am with the green screen keyed out.... Honestly if I ever do go back to VRChat streaming... like that would ever be safe for me and my audience to do and see lol... I should try that Vlog Style Method.
What about just doing it though desktop if you dont have a headset??
