When I seen this, I turned my head, lol, and where the star is in the middle looks like a great place for a stitched zipper, replace the stars with flowers, 1 5x7 picture, with a smaller picture and the base of the zipper where the large star is. Journaling to the left and a long title above. It would make a beautiful girl page.
I just can't even! You are so doggone talented, Allison! I love this series that you are doing here on youtube and I am loving the 6x6 class as well! Thank you for sharing your talents with all of us! :)
You are such an inspiration, Allison! Each layout is amazing! I love how you think out of the box with the sketch, and make each layout unique. Thank you so much for breaking them down like this. ☺
I did include names/brands in the supply lists in the video description, but not actual links to each product. I'll try to remember to include that in future videos!
I print in different sizes. Every few months I will go through a bunch of photos and crop them to sizes that I like to work with. The size I choose is dependent on the amount of photos and the type of photo. For example, if I have two photos I am most likely going to use them on a one-page layout so I'll crop them to either 2-1/2 x 3-1/2", 3 x 4", or 3 x 5" (those are my favorite photo sizes to use for one-page layouts.) I'll do this for tons of photos and then have them printed all at once. Then I store them in a photo box on my table and I can easily go through them and grab a set and start creating right away. I hope that makes some sense!
Alison, when your changing the orentation of the sketch, are you still sticking to the number of pattern papers, solid etc on the directions of the sketch or do you adapt with the layout?
I typically don't use the directions on the sketch for amount of papers. I tend to use what I feel works best with my photos and what I've picked out to use with them. The directions are the sketch can be really helpful for those just starting out or those that like to follow a sketch exactly. I seem to always kind of do my own thing.
I do! I'm so glad you said something because I completely forgot to put the link to it in the video description. Here it is: ua-cam.com/video/g1kpVmBAxPo/v-deo.html
Thank you, Wanda! That one took about 4-5 hours. If I was starting from scratch, especially with all that stitching, it would have taken a lot longer but since I used a sketch it gave me more time to dedicate to those "extra" details.
Oh no! Sometimes I get frustrated when what I have in mind doesn't come out the way I expect it to. I find that setting it aside and coming back to it later or even another day is really helpful. What exactly were you not liking about it or struggling with?
Your layouts are works of art! They are all gorgeous but the water layout would look great framed on the wall! Jeannine
Thank you so much! Water layouts are my favorite to create!
I have never seen a layout of yours that I do not LOVE!!
Thank you, Nancy! That's quite the compliment!

Thank you, Eva! Yes, anyone, anywhere is allowed.
Beautiful layouts. Do you have links to the cut files you used?
I did include names/brands in the supply lists in the video description, but not actual links to each product. I'll try to remember to include that in future videos!
Do you print your own pictures in different sizes? And do you have different sizes of the same picture?

Wow they are all beautiful and i love the double layout the most. If i may aks, how long did you work on that one?
Thank you, Wanda! That one took about 4-5 hours. If I was starting from scratch, especially with all that stitching, it would have taken a lot longer but since I used a sketch it gave me more time to dedicate to those "extra" details.
Mine did not turn out line yours. I threw it away!!
