i actually met them with my dad here in st pete when they performed. i had VIP passes and got their guitar pics, i have pictures up on my instagram with them when lexii was in the group before he left giving me a kiss on the cheek. they’re very nice and humble.
This is the single most effective way to bring rock and roll back to the mainstream. I feel like this was their main reason for doing this. This kind of rock just isnt around in mainstrain anymore. Agt is a massive platform for it to possibly make a comeback.
I also think their being on AGT is hilarious.. it's like Andy Kaufman style humor.. it's comedy for the comic .. the joke is on, and for ..the audience.. Steel Panther rules 🤘
The point is free publicity since it puts them in front of so many people that otherwise wouldn't know about them at all. It's smart marketing by the band.

Steel Panther has been my guilty pleasure in music for years and my no.1 workout playlist, they are to good to be on got talent imo. This is a good way to increase the fan base and get kids listening to real music again.
Lead singer looks rough, but his voice sounds super smooth.

We have seen Steel Panther live 3 times, amazing each time. Spider seems to fit in quite nicely with them (miss Lexxi still but yea). and yea same reaction, I saw this about them and was like "what song are they going to play?" LMAO

Amazing! the truth is America wants to rock. We wanna rock. It's time for a change. Let's rock. I could see this at #1. If you want that 80's Metal sounds in new music format go check out Swedish bands like Crazy Lixx, Reckless Love and British bands like Midnite City and Chez Kane.
Kinda feel this was to help bring in ratings for AGT's new season. But it never hurts for Steel Panther to be on a major network to increase their exposure. Love them. 80s hair bands need a comeback.

Yea, the male Karen was a plant to harken back to the days of the 80's with the old folks disapproving of these "rock and rollers". The producers of these shows just can't resist.
I think their trying to stay relevant but for me. It's like stepping into a time machine. I mean that in a good way. They were awesome.

This wasn't "live" in terms of what we hear. All these shows produce the audio. Michael never sounds this solid live anymore, and obviously there is shit on tape. Doesn't mean they don't slay, but it isn't a raw performance.
