Mike should have one of those shaggy shirts that mimic the mom. I’ve seen it in other videos (orangutan rescue). The baby clings to the shirt when the foster “mom” caregiver is walking around. I just love Mike and Jeremy and Alison and all the staff at Monkey World. 💜
I love that man! He is awesome. He isn't making a pet out of that wonderful monkey, he's merely a temporary stop over rescue untill baby Gibbon is ready to go monkey around with his foster mom. That would be so rewarding to actually rescue, get monkey passed the danger stage, and to good health then turn it over to be with other monkeys doing all the monkey things.
He really is a special soul!! He and all of these big men have a special gift being able to connect with all the different types of primates and their patience is so incredible, peaceful, and completely innocently filled of love. If they read these, please extend a HUGE THANK YOU to these guys and the entire staff. ❤❤❤. I wish I lived there, I would be there to work in an instant as animal husbandry was my major initially in college. My Uncle was a vet in San Francisco who filled in at SF Zoo and I would visit and there would always be some type of incredible creature somewhere in the house. I saw anything from baby gorillas, Boa’s in the bathtub. It was always a beautiful surprise. One day I had the beautiful opportunity to experience seeing five baby Bengal tigers in his garage…. Always an incredible experience!!!!
I love Mike and Jeremy! They're so good with all the animals! And Oshien is adorable even though she has been very spoiled! It seems that orangs have a much calmer temperament than other great apes. Bart's ears! My goodness! 👂

In a world where I see more self-entitled inconsiderate behavior from kids and mostly adults, than good, you are a refreshing reminder that good people like you do exist. 💜 ❤️
Great episode as usual. I would like for us to take a minute to acknowledge these are the fortunate one's ( all those that have been rescued thus far) who now get to live the remainder of their lives as close to the way god created them to live. Thank you so much for all you have done and continue to do to help . but unfortunately there are still many more suffering who need urgent help. So please as with any other type of crime or abuse if you see something or know something please please say something. It will take a whole lot more eyes and ears than monkey world can do on there own. And it shouldn't be forgotten that all great things that happen are made up of a bunch of smaller thing's. So that 1 phone call that 1 report about abuse or other crime's against these animal's could ultimately be the beginning of the smaller steps to save the life of these amazing animal's. Thanks for all that monkey world and other organizations for the long days of hard work that you tirelessly do to give the animals a better life
Excellent words of wisdom and good advice. So true that one call or report may be THE one, so Peele shouldn't give up because they think nobody cares or is listening. Way to go Tonya. 👍👍
I love Monkeys and their babies are adorable. I wish there was a sanctuary close to Dallas as I would volunteer. They are very smart. Thanks for caring about them.
You have a fantastic job. But shocking what we all did with nature and animals. Sad to see monkeys are so fat. But I am happy to see all you do for them and with them. Really THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
Ok now that I've had my Monkey World fix for the day, I can get started. LOL. Great content as always. Thank you all so much for what you do at Monkey World. It takes such dedication for what you do there. You ALL amaze me. Keep it up. And keep the videos coming. Please. You guys are my daily soap opera. Haha.
There is always interesting and different things going on. Its the highlight of my day each time a new video is posted. The Monkey World staff are as incredible as the monkeys and apes are. We can get to know them by name and antic's. Thank you as always for all you do.
Am actually pleasantly surprised in which way the lab ugly monkeys are housed. Even though we know they're in lab for bad reasons at least we saw those scientists tried their best to make monkeys comfortable. Well feed, nice clean enclosure and kept them in family units and not isolated is the best anyone can ask for under the circumstances. Am sure Allison was also shockingly surprised but in a good way 😊
Based on their containment (def not disease research, otherwise she’d be wearing a hazmat suit) These monkeys were probably used in studies like diabetes treatments. Having monkeys in small cages is always unfortunate, but without animal research we wouldn’t have treatments for diseases like aids, polio, and covid. Contrary to popular belief, most Animal research and care techs love animals, and want what’s best for them.
I look forward for each new video. Your channel provides me with great enjoyment. I wish to be brave enough to take a flight across the Atlantic and visit your wonderful Monkey World.
Please please please can someone ask Alison or her staff to try and help the horrible abuse suffered by baby macaque monkeys in South Asian countries perpetuated by UA-cam who despite many many reports and documentaries refuse to take the abusive channels down. It's heartbreaking and horrendous what these poor innocent animals are put through.

It’s like a big zoo, people pay to go inside and can watch the monkeys up close through glass or through the fence if their outside playing. So I imagine they probably put that money back into feeding them and I’m sure they probably get donations as well.

She states: “ I am not interested in the laboratories and the rights and wrongs and yes & no’s that goes on there I’m worried about these macaques and what is going on with them.” What a very cold and calloused attitude towards all the other animals in that lab where these mechanics came from. So if she’s not promised them for her location, she could not give a crap about them at all? That’s a pretty shitty attitude.

Why doesn’t monkey world have any Southern pig tail and northern long tail macaques?
Please do not refere to them as ugly monkeys. They are stump tailed macaques and they are a gentle, calm loving breed.
How about calling them the Homely Honeys? Beautiful creatures in any case.
