I’m from the US, my wife is from Argentina. I want to surprise her with an Asado (as close as I can get with what meat cuts are available). This video has been incredibly helpful.

Look amazing! I just discovered your channel and instantly subbed! I live in California, but this style of grilling entrances me. I am trying to put together a mesa de asado now. I hope you keep making more videos showing this style of grilling :)

@@maxcooking-argentiniancuis6844 You're very welcome :) I got my asado table together since I left that comment and have already done about 6 cooks on it. Loving it! I will continue binging and watching your channel for updates and inspiration. Cheers!

Hi From Australia! Do you use special bricks for this bbq? refactory or kiln bricks? Or are "normal" bricks ok?

Good stuff man. Why do you use lemon for the matambre? To tenderize or flavor, Or both? Love this style of cooking. I’ll be preparing asado this weekend!

I’m going to Argentina soon and want to try cooking myself. How do I find wood for cooking?

In Argentina you'll find firewood in 5kg or 10kg bags on gas stations, grocery stores, meat shops etc. Those places usually have a few bags on the sidewalk to let you know they sell firewood

Love the style of live fire grilling however, would be taking the meat off much earlier or use a digital so it’s more med rare our preference yours is too overdone for me. But to each their own.

The smart Argentines build the fire ON the grill, then move the coals below the grill and clean the grill with newspaper instead of using a wire brush which is dangerous.

It just seems like such an inefficient way to cook. Like you need to be somewhere where coal or wood is cheap that you can burn logs just for one piece of meat to cook over hrs. Dude started in the day time.

It is not inefficient At ALL.. but yeah you need a lot of charcoals or woods or both you cannot let the embers died ... some things like whole huge animals can take up to 7 hours.. Argentine Bbq is the literally flagstone that say if you want something extremely delicious and well done as a unique experience... you need As Asador slave yourself for the rest of your guests in front of the grill... otherwise you can eat a vienna sausage in 5 minutes in the microwave

If you put the salt in a bowl. You can avoid having to pick up your salt box 43 times with hands covered in raw meat and blood. I can't watch anymore.
