I can not express how much this has helped me. I am a 46 empty nester returning to community college in January 2022. I have learned more from you in 43.48 minutes than I have in high school and on and off community college. I never leave comments on you tube but I had to express my gratitude. for question 14. can you explain why i would make it into a mixed number? instead i just divided -29/7 and still got -4.14.

During the cast exam, will the formulas be displayed? Or do we have to memorize all of them?
What formulas do you mean? Like the slope formula, etc? According to the official testing site, "The CAST assessments for grade eight and high school include a periodic table and a reference list of formulas that students may access during online testing as universal tools. The reference list provides all formulas that a student may need to use in responding to a test item; however, this does not imply that the student will receive a specific item type. The purposes of these reference tools are to signal that students do not need to memorize formula sheets and to ensure that students have equal access to the tools during testing." Here is why I always gave up on math. It has to make some practical sense to my brain. I just don't get why or how.

16x + 4=100
16*6* + 4=100.
Show that to anyone and they will say, no 166+4=170.

hi, before I look how you did yours #1, I did 16x6= 96, then 96+4= 100 😂. Is this acceptable in solving this way?

Is this something that will be on an eei cast test?
Our practice tests are written by our own writing team and are close to the types of questions you will see, but they still aren't official practice tests. The goal is just to give test takers practice on similar questions, so that they can see where their weaknesses are and then be able to focus on improving those weak areas.
How come the slope of a line is (y2-y1)/(x2-x1) and not (y1-y2)/(x1-x2)?

i just did the cast test, and i only had 17 questions, does that mean im stupid or smart from the low amount of questions?

ATTENTION - Question 4 is incorrect. Notice how she multiplies the 2 by the exponent 3 and the x by the exponent 3 but in the second half of the equation she only multiplies the y by the exponent 5 and NOT the 2 by the exponent 5... The correct answer is 8x^12 + 32y^25. Otherwise, everything looks great!
the 32 comes from 2^5 or 2*2*2*2*2
@@samdefrancesco3612 It is correct - notice the parentheses. In the first phrase, the 2x^4 are in parentheses, while in the second, only the y is in parentheses, so the 2 won't get raised to 5 at all.

Great video the only thing to make it better is to drill home when to use PEMDAS and FOIL....unless I missed that lol
Idk if there are different CAST tests but if this is meant for the construction applied skills tests this is nothing like the test I just finished taking it a few hours ago... . Great teaching but completely incorrect content

We are sorry you were confused. She is simply doing the steps to get all the terms on the same side of the equation. So she subtracted x^2 from both sides and also added 12 to both sides.
