@@ladiandmargaret that’s not a bad idea. We made toys, so whenever someone came up with what we thought was a great idea the response was “ well it will cost $50,000 to find out if it is!”. Getting an idea through manufacturing is difficult when you have to rely on a third party supplier, especially in a different country with a different language and culture. Ladi is such a great problem solver with tooling. He see’s the final product and works backwards to understand how to create a final piece. All great inventors/designers/engineers start with a desired outcome, then figure out how to get there. The shop is also growing! Lots of content there. You started with a construction yard and are transforming it in to a small business incubator.
On the structural components I’d recommend utilizing obround cuts for the corner relief on sheet metal bends otherwise you run higher risk of crack propagation from fatigue. For trimming the plastic mud guards instead of using the bandsaw, a metal or mdf trim router template will significantly speed up the process utilizing a flush trim bit.
Missed you guys!! hope that Margaret is doing well too! Ladi looks tired but still very passionate for the bikes!! Please do take time off the crazy schedules of work to indulge in some relaxing time!!
maybe its a little late to comment but here are my 2cents. If this is a commuting bike with off-road capabilities the other things that should be able to be customizable (besides the wheels and the battery) are both the sprockets and the size of the forward disc brake. For commuting if someone wants to go over 80mp/h on a long road and extend the range of the battery a small rear sprocket its very usefull and with that a bigger forward disc brake its good as well. On the other hand, for off road the existing configuration of prockets and disc break sizes are perfect (bigger disc actually can be a problem is someone its not a skilled ryder). So yeah, those 2 thing, and using the middle space as cargo space with a net or something would also be great. Thanks if you read me.
If you aren’t using them already I would highly recommend utilizing hex body rivet nuts instead of round body. They aren’t as susceptible to hole tolerances and have much better torque performance before spin out. Especially since you have a tube laser you don’t have to depend on processes that produce round holes. Böllhoff has a great selection of hex body rivet nuts and even have sealed blind version if you need water tight compartments.

Us Californians usually have the strictest standards on things and that results in some products being legal in 49 out of 50 states. Please don't let the Havoc be one of those products! You guys have created something special with the Havoc. It's still in pre-production and it's probably still the best electric motorcycle out there. I love your mindset of "Electric motorcycles don't need to look like traditional motorcycles" and "if we do not need it, we should not add it." The Havoc is going to be THE BEST electric motorcycle in the world very soon. I'm no businessman, but please stay (or become) a private company. Quality and attention to detail always goes out the window when public companies prioritize shareholders over the product or service. It's also amazing that this motorcycle is more affordable than other companies that have a major head start on you! You can make a more road-ready version of the bike on road tires, install a belt with pulleys instead of a chain and sprockets, make a faster winding for greater speed, or turn on field weakening.
If I had any advice. Make sure packing of the bikes for delivery is very protective. It seems to be one of the biggest issues on UA-cam , is bike damage. Which causes more issues for everyone. Love the bikes!!
