Actually this kinda cage is suitable for some small parrots. Quails actually prefer to live on the ground and they run fast. So try to provide horizontal space.
Agreed on the part of quails needing ground space. Parrots fly a lot. They need width over height as well. This kind of cage is not suitable for parrots of any size.
Yes... You're going to want way shorter cages. Something 1-1/2 feet tall with 1-2ft^2 space for each bird. Also please feed them soaked chicken starter or game bird feed. Something with 22-24% protein.
Delicate only when they attack each other... otherwise they are actually very hardy. I have to say I really like the look of these guys. Might consider adding a hutch of them to my flock. I've got A&M and Pharos but no Tennecy Reds. "Edit I can't keep them they are bobwhites and DNR won't allow them as we have a native verity."

FireWolf_8667 you are the one who sent them? You should have notified them then. Imagine someone just sends you a box of birds. You have no food you have no place for them, no experience nothing. If you sent them bc you wanted to dump them on somebody else why did you get them in the first place. I’m sure you coulda at least been able to care for them for just a few more days until these ppl at least knew they had some birds to get prepared for 🤦♀️ you can’t just get some animals, decide you can’t care for them and randomly dump them on someone else with zero warning. I love animals to death and I’m always more than willing to welcome new ones to my farm but I would be pissed if somebody just dropped off some birds that Ik nothing ab at my door unexpectedly. You should think ab the well being of the birds/animals in this situation before you ship them to somebody who has no idea they’re aboutta get them.
I had a bobwhite quail as a house pet for seven years and he was the best. He loved going on car rides and hanging out with me at work. He and my German shepherd were very bonded, he would follow her everywhere, they would play together, him pecking at her teeth, she mouthing at him, he loved to take 'dust baths' in her tail, he shared her food, got excited when she got excited and would sleep in her soft fur. He loved kids and was fearless in public. As to training, he did seem to know not to poop on furniture and was safe to have up on the bed or the sofa, where he loved to cuddle with his humans. Otherwise he was not house trained but that was not an issue because the dog cleaned up after him :P But he was not really trained, just himself. Very trusting though, you could lay him on his back in your hand and he would be quite happy to stay like that. The greatest evidence of his intelligence he ever showed was one Christmas. A day before Christmas I showed him, the dog and the cat each their wrapped presents and then put them back under the tree. The next day as I was opening up the dog's gift, the quail went to the tree, grabbed a corner of his present and dragged it to me, then looked up at me expectantly. I opened up his present, but he was not impressed with the stuffed animal inside lol I had thought he would like to have something soft to cuddle up to in his cage at night, but he did not like that plush dolphin at all. He never showed interest in presents again. I hand raised him from a chick and this is what made him so trusting. The dog loved helping me raise baby animals, and was very gentle with him when he was a tiny chick, not much bigger than a bumble bee :)
Both of you have your hands full. Caring for children and animals. What a job that is. Bless both your heart's. I'm 63 and my husband is 66. We live in the city on acre and half. Grow massive amounts of vegetables. We have 4 cats and 12 chickens. It takes 2 hours minimum in the morning before I actually can start taking care of the garden. At the end of the day nothing like sitting back with a glass of wine. We also have a small vegetable stand in front of our house. Honor system. We actually have people that don't live in our neighborhood come to buy our vegetables. How nice is that. I could not imagine trying to care for the amount of animals you have. Great video. 👍
In my experience with quail they shouldn't be kept in a vertical cage like that. Should be primarily length and with than height and they also don't really roost. They tend to dig little areas in their substrate to sleep. As for training I have no clue about that and I doubt you could really train them. Most mine does is eat from my hands so
barn // ya hardware cloth is really hard on their feet and legs every time I buy quail from Poltry swaps or something even if they’re just a few weeks old they almost always have bumble foot or some sort of leg issue or both. the enclosure would probably be good for a pigeon or a dove. But I don’t have any experience with them😅
I think it does rely on the particular species of quail.. we have two wich i believe are chinese ones they are tiny and they have never played dead.. though they are at a point where they trust us so picking them up is no problem they will just sit there and look around
I'd have been concerned about diseases, especially with no notice. I don't know that I would have accepted the shipment. I might have seen if a local quarantine fscility could have taken them before bringing them on the farm. Reminds me of the seed packets being recieved by hundreds of people from overseas... If you get one, contact the USDA hotline. Scary stuff.
I'd like to warn you. I have quail. Snowflake bobs and mexican speckled. DO NOT put any other breed of quail or birds with Tennessee reds or painted (mearns) quail. They are very aggressive and kill other species. Just a fair warning to anyone whom wants to get quail. Pleaeese!
What a great example of being graciously honest in receiving a gift that is, at best, awkward. So glad you were able and willing to share the experience and provide a home for the birds.
Quail need more of a horizontal cage, and not vertical. They are ground dwellers, and don't roost or perch. They would appreciate a long cage in length with plenty of places to hide, and appreciate being able to take a dust bath.
@@shrimppimp4509 okay that makes I live in Arizona but I've never seen quails perchbut that's just what I heard from other people in the comments that they do.
people need to have common sense! I was watching another channel on UA-cam, and some people just showed up at the youtuber's house!! I think people just think they get to know you so well that they really have no regard for your privacy or boundaries!
True. They said they get their mail in a po box and I am sure their privacy is of real concern when you have a popular youtube channel especially. A friend of mine operates a 301c? Animal rescue and educational farm. She obviously has to deal with a lot more people than I feel comfortable with honestly. It's different at my house as I can't afford to rescue a bunch of different animals , nor do I want the foot traffic. As close friends we have very different styles of farming just due to our needs.I was Just explaining is all.
It's called a "para-social relationship". A complete stranger watching a video becomes so familiarised with the YTer's face that they think the YTer is some kind of close friend that they can just go and hang out with whenever. It's a weird phenomenon that can lead to some messed-up consequences. Wanting to hang out, wanting to be in videos, sending gifts, wanting a relationship, yandere-esque obsession, murder... But yes, back on topic, giving people live fucking animals without their consent first is messed up. Animals don't deserve to be dumped on people who may not want them, or may not be ready to care for them. That can only ever really lead to animal abuse/neglect, unless the people being dumped on are extremely kind. Sentient lives are not whimsical gifts.
@spirit system, I agree!! I would get really ticked if anyone just dumped some animals on me! And as for showing up at someone's home unannounced, or uninvited? No way! Especially to a U tuner who doesn't know me!! That is creepy! And very Stalker like!!😳😵😱
Who sends live animals to someone without informing them or even asking if it's ok? Seriously. I'm glad you took the time to talk about that because it's inconsiderate and irresponsible. Fortunately you had materials available for building a suitable enclosure.
Maybe ,the sender just thought about the surprise they have when they see the quails and thought that they will be impressed of the sender🙄....... It's not a big odd problem though.........😁
I used to have quail and I found they really like taking dirt baths so sand would be really good to give them. Also they are ground birds so it might be better to give them a cage with lots of floor space. Your quail are very cute :)
Only training I did with my quail was whistling him to come to me. If Mango did come, he was rewarded with a juicy live meal worm or his favorite seeds. I agree with several comments here. They are primarily ground birds with decent flight abilities; love tall grass and being able to dive into a thick bush if they feel threaten. They love scratching in dirt, chasing each other and having sand baths. Your quail aren't full size yet, but they shouldn't get much bigger I think (your species is variant to what I had - Northern Bobwhite (which gets to the size of a large robin - but I think yours will be the size of small bantam chicken when fully grown but I could be wrong). Tennessee Red Quail have a tendency to be feistier and more aggressive than other quail species, especially if there are too many males and not enough females to go around - I recommend keeping them in pairs during the breeding season. They will need a spacious enclosure with a minimum of at least two square feet of floor space per bird. They cannot be raised in a mixed aviary with other species of birds or quail. Also quails can drown easily if given too much access to water, a shallow water source is best. An you should supplement their diet with produce and berries; bugs if you have access to them. With their feed to give them all their nutrients they need. Its nice that they sent you the birds (considering how much everything cost), but they should have reached out to you first before surprising you with live animals. Especially with all the shortages going on for supplies to build new enclosures, not to mention what you may need to care for them. Also just thought of this you may need a permit to keep them.
If they are game animals, most if not all states require a permit. I'm sure the person meant well, yet wasn't thinking about the numerous issues sending the birds unannounced creates.. is the person going to be home? Diseases in area shipped from? Are they carriers for other diseases (human & aviary) that could adversely affect the farm, how will these birds' needs affect the farm? Do people have time to take care of them? Do they need to be quarantined? OMG, So much to think about! I think I would've contacted the USDA and had them quarantined before bringing them onto my farm. That dumped a lot of concerns needing immediate attention. Permits needed to own? Are these birds legally obtained? Sad, yet all of these issues could've been addressed with a few phone calls and an email or two.
I added you to my list of subscriptions, not because I am so interested in raising birds, but because you are all such a beautiful family. Best wishes. I live by a river marsh , and I enjoy the wild birds, now so active in the spring.
Aww nice video but I kinda feel like sending animals to someone without their permission is kinda like dropping your kids off by someone without asking first 🤦🏾♂️ it was a kind gesture tho
I've seen the person who actually sent them to them, and they said that the birds were dropped at their door step, out of panic(Keep in mind, they had no idea how to care for them either) they sent the birds to the people. The person who dropped the birds on the person who sent them's porch was the person to blame, not the actually sender themselves. Sorry if you have a different opinion, just trying to clear any misconceptions.
@@skinman4207 they are just as much to blame by basically doing the same thing to someone else that was done to them. You can’t say... oh they sent them because, someone dropped them off at their house. They just turned around and did the same thing to someone else.
Absolutely. Animal responsibilities aren't some people's strong suit. I have a friend who runs a rescue and she get boxes of kittens dropped off and all matter of other animals from rabbits to birds. One time someone stuck their cat in her mailbox of all places. A big box for packages but come on! Could have been a cruel trick too. Thing lept out at her while collecting mail. It's horrible as the animal could have basicly cooked in there depending on weather and checking mail. She had to build 2 outdoor kitten runs to hold as many as she received. She or a worker spent time 2xs a day at least cleaning their eyes and ears for mites ect. She has a good homing rate but you run out of people that you know that wants cats or kittens especially. We found out just how important it is to get animals fixed when ours had back to back litters and even a young mom. So a friend helped us fix them all. Everybody needs to learn that lesson and understand just how bad uncontrolled animal breeding is. Thankfully the humane society started fixing them very early and very cheap comparatively to vets ect. Just 20$ to 40$. Vet wanted a first visit fee and all shots plus around 100$ to fix just one. Ridiculous. Try that with a couple litters. Okay rants over but really serious. This couole seems to do a great job.
I believe that it depends on the circumstances, I agree with both sides of the argument here but rembering that it you were to drop this off at a strangers house with no experience with birds they will not be taken care of properly and will most likely die, sending the birds to someone who can properly take care of them and keep them safe is what should be done o believe
Dixsigns Dairy Goats I live in Va on a farm of 50 acres and I’m super into birds and pigs and would live some hatching eggs Eggs I just hatched out quail and I can’t get enough of my incubator

Technically bobwhites which is basically what these are are very capable of light considering I have some myself and they never get hurt flying around, I agree they should have more running space as they stay on the ground more than they fly but they will fly if they want to as they are just like birds, they're not like coturnix quails which are completely ground birds but are able to glide short distances if scared
Since I have been keeping quails I have noticed that they have this way of sleeping that makes them look like their dead it is really stressful because I have to keep checking if they are alive 😂
can you imagine if they sent a puppy? Here is a 10 to 15 year commitment to spend money on. Food, training, vet visits, shots, grooming, toys and what-nots
@@idontknow8716 the whole point is it wasn't planned, it was random and they had to scramble to make a home for them. Free animals still cost money to sustain their life
My uncle did this to me years ago. He has an aquatics business and knew I had tanks. He got my name in the family Christmas drawing and sent me some newts and a siren without telling me. The problem was that I was down to one tank and it wasn’t really suitable. I made it work for the newts, but I had to find a home for the siren.
I love these new birdies, I have several of them myself :) Although these little cutie pies are very ground oriented. While they can fly, they are the sort of birds that like to hide in bushes and stay low rather than flying up high. I had to keep them in a chicken house for a few days, and lo and behold, they were quietly sitting on the ground, totally ignoring the roosts. They also don't need nesting boxes! They are a bit longer domesticated than chickens and it is almost unheard of for quails to go broody. They will lay their eggs anywhere.
My grandma used to have quial, and I remember she told me that quails don't like bright light - they get stressed and aggressive towards each other, and the cage better be long and low.
@@whitehouseonthehill Well, give ground birds who can fly place to fly is good. But vegetation to hide, sand bath, looot of place to run is something they need. And they don't have enough in your cage.
@@larrygaroth9773 It wasn't a bad advice. But for that, you would need to know that outside quails pass their days hidden in tall grass (way higher that them), flying only when there is danger (and never high or far away, and most of the time, they just run) Actually, you can see them like little chicken who love hide themselves instead of perching.
Happy 1st anniversary on your new farm. You've done SO much this past year. It's looking great. Blessings to you all and best wishes for another year ahead.
I always freak out when really young kids want to hold animals as sometimes they don’t understand how ‘gentle’ they are... RIP Kenny who was strangled to death by a 3 year old, I won’t name who.
Ms HOly don’t worry, from the farm I use to live and parents specially these parents so did mine teach there kids how to hold it steady. It was a fine and good position
I have 3 different types of quail, they are ground birds, they don’t roost, usually are quite flighty. They also need a higher protein diet than chickens! So make sure you get them some good quail food or add extra protein in their diet. My smallest is button quail and they are the smallest quail in the world. They are the size of a chick fully grown, the chicks are the size of a marble, so delicate.
To clarify I was specifically asking white house on the hill, not that I wouldn't give to other people I just want to be 100% sure my quails are going to good homes, sorry 😬
In the UK all the quail I have seen are ground dwelling. Love the cage though! You could train them to target which gives a good basis for other things like turning in a circle etc. It would make it easy to move them around a space too.
Absolutely love your channel. Thank you for sharing your family and your journey. I am curious as to what the guinea-chicken birds look like now and what their personalities are like
Just a suggestion.. can there be a live plant in that quail house .. since these birds are used to live wild in bushes! So that they feel more comfortable...
The like hiding in bushes, that's true. But doesn't have to be a live plant. I put some branches with leaves and they loved it. They also really enjoy sand baths a lot.
I absolutely LOVE watching your videos! They way you care for your family and your animals is amazing! I love how you live off of what you grow and raise. This spring during quarantine, you inspired us to grow our own gardens. We live in the Chicago suburbs, so most of our "garden" is in large pots, but we've had so much luck with our crops. Thanks for your inspiration. Still would love to see how your garden is doing. Especially your bean tunnels. I've always wanted to do that.
What an Amazing life you have given your boys. To grow-up with all these animals is an awesome experience!! You all have done an Awesome job for your animals & such a Fun Adventure for your family. Best of Luck for whatever comes your families way. 👍❤
I was holding interviews to place puppies in loving homes. A man showed up who may or may not have been drinking (pretty sure he was buzzed). He told me he hadn't seen his 6yr old son in a year. He wanted to surprise his son and ex with a puppy. I thanked him for his interest and told him I would call him with an answer. He wanted the puppy right then and there. Thats when I had to be straight with him. He wasn't getting the puppy... ever.
I have quail in my back yard, those quail look pretty young to me they may grown some more. Quail have legs for running so I’d advise you provide more horizontal space for the quail to exercise their legs. They can be on branches but tend to prefer running. Also, quail are gliders they get good height in the air but are not made for long distance flying.
Maybe add a dust bath to the bottom. Just a small box with some sand and they will love it. I can’t believe someone would just send you living animals in the mail without asking first. Blows my mind.
Blows my mind how folk just sent them and also how they did 0 research into the type of enclosure quils need and what they like etc. Since so many havee said they need a horizontal and run space but they stuck them in a vertical cage
@@thewhisperingwoods5069 honestly for that number of quail the amount of horizontal space those bird have is fine. They only need a square foot per bird. So that doesn’t blow my mind at all. They built a cage that they had the materials for on hand because they already had plans to build it. What are they supposed to do? Have everything planned out for surprise birds they’ve never owned when they just show up on their doorstep? Not likely. I’m sure they will modify if the birds do not like it. People shouldn’t be surprising others with animals without notification and a yes we can have them period.
Nice job on the enclosure, especially considering you had no time to research/prepare (sheesh people, stop and think before sending someone live animals :P), though as others have already pointed out, much more horizontal space would be better. The Tennessee Red is a color variety of the Northern Bobwhite (Colinus virginianus) which, like most quail, is a primarily ground dwelling bird. Some vertical space and perches I'm sure would be appreciated, but they will do much better with a lot more floor space, the more the better. I'm sure they would also greatly appreciate plenty of cover/places to hide. The more cover they have, the more calm and secure they will likely feel. You should also add some sand for dust bathing. Also, I'm not sure about training. New World Quail (Odontophoridae) are in general, fairly skittish and flighty birds. Northern Bobwhites, having been semi-domesticated, can be calmer than most, but apparently the Tennessee Red is a feistier strain. Probably the most you could hope for is them getting accustomed to your presence and possibly eating from your hand, that's about it. I doubt you'd be able to train them anything beyond that. Anyway, good night and good luck with your unexpected additions. If you see this, I hope it helps. God Bless You!
I agree. Who sends SEVEN live birds to someone, without even checking with them first to make sure they are able to take care of these animals or if they even WANT these animals? That seems a bit rude to me.

First time seeing this channel and family and it is such a pleasure watch. With all the other stuff going on this year has brought me down a dark path and this video brought me back to the light. Subscribed because I need more of this now.
Tennessee reds are a more aggressive quail and shouldn't be housed with other quail. Because of their feisty nature, Tennessee red quails need as much space as possible, at least 2 square feet of floor space per quail, but preferably more. Free-ranging is an option, provided local regulations allow it and your neighbors don’t object.. All quails, free-range or otherwise, need a secure shelter to sleep in. A standard chicken coop should do, provided it is predator-proof. Use straw or wood shavings as bedding. My grandma had some earlier this year, they all died either due to foxes, heat, or her dog, so I would keep close watch on joey when she's near them. Keep up the great work on the farm! Ya'll are doing fantastic!
I'll live vicariously though you since I no longer have a farm. It's still my dream but as I grow older, I'm not sure if it's in the cards anymore. Love your farm and family !
Sending live animals to someone without their permission is a horrible and irresponsible behaviour that should not be encouraged!!! ( I bet they hatched the quails themselves because they thought it was cool and quail eggs are probably the easiest hatching eggs to come by. now they didn’t want to take care of them anymore and just send them to you...)

Maybe you guys need to put in all the video's descriptions a warning not to send animals unborn or born without asking in advance. side note: it's smarter to think what the family may need example money, toys, gift cards, books, farm supplies etc
Really yall? Dont send LIVE animals or eggs in the mail without the consent of the recipients... The recipient probably won't have the materials or time for the animals or eggs if not informed first... why would yall think that sending surprise animals or eggs is a good idea, you could be sending them to their death if the recipients are not informed that they should get the supplies necessary for the survival of the LIVE animals or eggs. It's like yall think life is a fairytale, where everything is going to be ok and death cant possibly be real suffering cant possibly be real, again not trying to be mean here ... yeah they really didnt seem prepared for these birds which is of course not their fault, quails prefer vertical runs too so they obviously arent too educated on quails which again isn't their fault
@@skinman4207 ok, im srry you were frustrated/ mad at us for not having the full story... I’m soo glad you guys had an empty brooder box for temporary housing and were able to build their home in 1 day. That is about the adult size of quail, different breeds might be little bigger or smaller but probably they will stay this size . From my research, quail do some flying, but mostly run and hop around on the ground. For the amount of birds you guys have (5 to 10 - a quick count from the video), I probably would look into building them an enclosure that is about 5feet by 10feet with branches to jump on and some bushes/grasses in few areas to hide in and for nesting areas.
Quail really need somewhere to take dust baths to stay healthy. They are also ground dwelling birds so height is not that important for them, floor space is more important. Otherwise a great cage :)

Actually this kinda cage is suitable for some small parrots. Quails actually prefer to live on the ground and they run fast. So try to provide horizontal space.

That is exactly what I was thinking about.
I was so confused when he said it was vertical. Also the ground with the fencing is painful for their feet and can harm them in the longrun

Especially if they are as delicate as these seem to be from the comments.
For real!!!

So cute! Was what was his name?

What a beautiful family. I love that the children are as excited and caring about the animals as the parents. Great job mom and dad.
That's funny when you say you have 4 cats I have 4 cats n 2 dogs 12 chickens 2 roosters n a garden and I live in the country i love it
Awesome
In my experience with quail they shouldn't be kept in a vertical cage like that. Should be primarily length and with than height and they also don't really roost. They tend to dig little areas in their substrate to sleep. As for training I have no clue about that and I doubt you could really train them. Most mine does is eat from my hands so
It's more like they learn a routine. We trained some wild ones to eat off the same tree stump everyday.
Mine really like sand for dust baths, and Im kinda scared that the mesh bottom will give them bumble foot
@@thethimlarfamily5840 yah I don't think that they would walk on it but still

I think it does rely on the particular species of quail.. we have two wich i believe are chinese ones they are tiny and they have never played dead.. though they are at a point where they trust us so picking them up is no problem they will just sit there and look around
I'd have been concerned about diseases, especially with no notice. I don't know that I would have accepted the shipment. I might have seen if a local quarantine fscility could have taken them before bringing them on the farm.

Right information😊
people need to have common sense!
I live in Alaska and some species of birds are illegal to keep here.. could you imagine receiving an illegal animal in the mail 😳
@spirit system, I agree!! I would get really ticked if anyone just dumped some animals on me! And as for showing up at someone's home unannounced, or uninvited? No way! Especially to a U tuner who doesn't know me!! That is creepy! And very Stalker like!!😳😵😱
U Tuber!! Lol😇😁
Good advice. Always check with someone before sending them anything live, be it a plant or an animal.
Who sends live animals to someone without informing them or even asking if it's ok? Seriously. I'm glad you took the time to talk
about that because it's inconsiderate and irresponsible. Fortunately you had materials available for building a suitable enclosure.
yes very strange
I mean...theyre farmers, so its not *that* odd...
@@anonymoose116 they didn't ask for them and it's very presumptuous of the sender
Maybe ,the sender just thought about the surprise they have when they see the quails and thought that they will be impressed of the sender🙄.......
It's not a big odd problem though.........😁
Yea, I agree
Its really childish and oblivious to send LIVE animals/eggs to uninformed recipients.

@@Twojoes9 I can see both sides here and I agree with both being to blame but at the same time they could’ve died

Quail need a short long cage. They can actually get hurt trying to fly up. Might want to redesign cage by laying it on its side.
Rebel Canners They can fly up. You just don’t want the cage that is not tall enough.
Lu they get hurt flying up they are ground birds not flight birds they need floor space to run around.
Being lucky isn’t the same as being correct
Technically bobwhites which is basically what these are are very capable of light considering I have some myself and they never get hurt flying around, I agree they should have more running space as they stay on the ground more than they fly but they will fly if they want to as they are just like birds, they're not like coturnix quails which are completely ground birds but are able to glide short distances if scared
Spider Fellow these look like a color variable of cornix quail to me. Bob whites are larger and require a permit to own in most states FYI.
Nice cages however quail are more ground birds then flight birds.

Great positive comment with good advice!

My grandma used to have quial, and I remember she told me that quails don't like bright light - they get stressed and aggressive towards each other, and the cage better be long and low.

@@larrygaroth9773 It wasn't a bad advice. But for that, you would need to know that outside quails pass their days hidden in tall grass (way higher that them), flying only when there is danger (and never high or far away, and most of the time, they just run)

I agree. My quails loved having dust baths every day.
Have everything planned out for surprise birds they’ve never owned when they just show up on their doorstep? Not likely. I’m sure they will modify if the birds do not like it.
Most quail are ground birds more apt to use a tractor type cage than a vertical

I’m from Dominican Republic living in Texas and This video was suggested to me and believe me when I tell you is the most beautiful thing I’ve seen today. For now I’m just sending my love to that beautiful family and before I send any gift I will let them know first
They need horizontal space.
I'm so glad you took the time to give us loyal watchers an update on Bamboo. I hope he continues to heal and get his feathers back. With or without them, he's still a beauty and we love him! 💜
Isaiah is getting so big . What a happy cute lil fella ! & those enclosures look pretty good
First time seeing this channel and family and it is such a pleasure watch. With all the other stuff going on this year has brought me down a dark path and this video brought me back to the light.
Subscribed because I need more of this now.
What a beautiful family. Good Luck with everything you do!!
Quail need to be on the ground. that brooder actually alright for them! i like to keep my quail in a run while giving them a place to hide and lay.
Love your youngest eating a raw cucumber! Reminds me of when I was small eating cucumber and rhubarb from my family's yard.
I'll live vicariously though you since I no longer have a farm. It's still my dream but as I grow older, I'm not sure if it's in the cards anymore. Love your farm and family !
Title: We DIDNT order these *birds*! *WHATS IN THE BOX??*
Me: DAMN BIRDS?
Sending live animals to someone without their permission is a horrible and irresponsible behaviour that should not be encouraged!!!
( I bet they hatched the quails themselves because they thought it was cool and quail eggs are probably the easiest hatching eggs to come by. now they didn’t want to take care of them anymore and just send them to you...)
Sorry if you have a different opinion, just trying to clear any misconceptions.
wow I couldn't imagine being sent a real live breathing animal I would have to care for their entire life without being asked omg.
Its childish, really childish and oblivious... I'm really holding back my anger and I'm not trying to be mean....
It's like yall think life is a fairytale, where everything is going to be ok and death cant possibly be real suffering cant possibly be real, again not trying to be mean here ... I'm sure THOUSANDS of people have probably lost their temper with yall but I will not let my emotions get the best of me, just trying to inform yall about how completely and utterly wrong yall were to do this.

The people who sent LIVE animals/eggs without informing the recipients.
((Aka not the UA-camrs in this video.))
Edit: lol I dont know what to reply to yall btw, so I thumbs up yalls replys :D have a good day!
I agree. It's as if they're forcing their desire on them with no regard to the time taken for the build, feed and care of the birds. A kind gesture ? I am not so sure.
yeah they really didnt seem prepared for these birds which is of course not their fault, quails prefer vertical runs too so they obviously arent too educated on quails which again isn't their fault
Yes. Giving them an extra job to do when they don't have the necessaries.
@@skinman4207 ok, im srry you were frustrated/ mad at us for not having the full story...
If it were me i would ask first before giving the birds to someone and research how to take care of the birds after getting then the basic things a bird needs because i would want to keep the birds and would sincerely doubt that the people would want more mouths to feed during a pandemic.
Avey Steele ......yall?
It’s really cool to watch your family! I’ve always lived in town! My dream was raising my boys out on a piece of land with a small hobby farm. I wasn’t able to do that so hopefully when we retire we’ll be able to do it! So I absolutely love watching you and your children.
You guys work so hard..God bless y'all ♥️♥️

WHY ARE THERE RIFTY FISH HERE HOW!
I enjoyed your video, I have a small farm with turkeys, chickens and quail. It's a labor of love that I throughly enjoy. I look forward to seeing more of your videos.
