Great video. Also been looking at this airplane for a long time. The only bad point everybody's been complaining about is the horrible, bouncy landing gear on paved surfaces. Too narrow and springy. If and when I get one, I'll install much wider fiberglass landing gear and Du-Bro low bounce wheels, Really looks like a fun one.
@@SunriseRCAviator Esc calibrating for end point very true. Do you still have this plane flying? How is it flying with 4s without changing esc and prop? Ty for ur video's and answering. :)
Many thanks for your video and clear outline of this plane . Can I please ask what CG you have your plane set to ? I’m seeing that the preference is setting it to 80mm at the front end of the recommended 80-85 mm range ? Thank you for any feedback .
Most planes in this size can handle 4s so is the case with the Slowpoke. Inverted is not as enjoyablle as many of my other planes but it is really sporty and fun.
Thank you for this review! 🙏 I follow your channel regularly and after seeing your review it looks fun so I just purchased one from Hobbyking on sale. Question about running on 4s - did you change out esc for a larger one? Also what size prop are you running for 4s? Will the stick prop handle? I was thinking of sizing prop down to apc 11x7 and use maybe 40-60a esc? Kind thanks for your reviews 🙏
You don't need to do anything. It flies and handle 4s great and it is actually much better. Very nice prop sound and good flight time even with the stock prop.
In a way you could say they fly kinda similar. The difference is the RV-7 is more gentle on 100% rates compared to the Slowpoke. The Slowpoke does float longer also and handle longer grass better. Also the LED lights on the RV-7 is the best I've seen so that's something to consider flying in low light.
@@SunriseRCAviator Yes I have a lot of issues with my RV 7 in the grass! I've thought about removing the wheel pants and adding larger tires but it doesn't really look possible!

It's a fun and good flying plane. I have Timber wheels on mine and then landings are good. Stock wheels are not good so they need to be replaced.
I had the Blue version of this enjoyed it while I had it - have now sold it ...
4s made it into a great flyer although Hobbyking have it as a 3s model. Very enjoyable to fly.
Nice video ! Really like the plane too. You mention a Sale ... Could you tell me which webstore ?
Thanks! I get them at Hobbyking when they have a sale.
I could not get my original ESC to wake up! So I put a 35 amp SMART spectrum ESC in it and no problems!
Sometimes you have to activate the ESC by booting with full throttle but maybe yours was broken.

@@rcrotorfreakYes I do and it works fine in stock config and 4s.

I market CG according to there manual and put a 4s 2200mAh all the way and then it was all balanced.
So i was surprised its motor and esc could handle a 2200 50c 4s...it actually looks pretty fast...did it fly inverted well? Thanks

Nice flight and plane. Ser ut som du digger deg i sen sommeren.
It is a surprisingly fun plane!
I've been thinking about getting that for a couple of years! Do you think it flys similar to the Vans RV 7 from eflite?

@@stevebarr9604 I wouldn't like to ruin the great look of the RV-7 as is so I'll stick with the stock wheels and pick shorter grass.
