I like the idea of plussing a layout. That mini prints sure has some nice things. This was a fun Wednesday workbench thanks for sharing. GOD BLESS 🚂💖🐺💖🌻💖🚂💖
"That's the real trouble with the world, too many people grow up. They forget. They don't remember what it's like to be 12 years old." ....Walt Disney .... You, Dave, just happened to be a "12 year old" with an amazing skill set, which all us other kids like to watch.😉
Thanks Dave, your attention to detail is unsurpassed! Thunder Mesa brings back memories of imagining myself in those miniature wonderlands that I’d see on Disneyland rides as a child. I’d like nothing more than to be able to get a ticket to board the excursion train and experience the world that you have created 🤓
Good call on the trees, the new foliage looks better at the scale, looks like they have a lot more detail. It was funny, I said "I like that a lot better" literally a second before you said the exact same thing xD
I want to thank you, Dave, for allowing me to visit the studio last week and get an in-person preview of this episode. It was a marvelous time for me and our conversation was great. I hope I can visit another time on an open tour day and chat some more in the future. Thanks for the inspiration and "Keep Moving Forward" brother.
According to my Grandfather, the reason we don't see the Jack-o-lope anymore, is because they were hunted to near extinction during the great depression. He had fond memories of hunting them and of course they were good eatin. 🙂 Love the details Dave!
A nice addition would be a bobcat on top of one of the giant cactus. This is a nod to the 1953 Disney "Living Desert" classic movie (and also in the Big Thunder Mountain scenery at Disneyworld.) Thanks for the enjoyable videos. I forgot to mention the reason the bobcat is up the cactus -> chased up there by Javelina...that would help tell the story
I’ve done the classic rock collecting method to build some sort of makeshift quarry alongside my G scale railroad, which runs on my carpet, and it turned out really nice. Amazing work Dave.
I had to stop talking to the screen as if I was talking to you (Wife came in and asked "Who ya talking to?") Interesting about the sunflowers, we just drove down 395 out of Oregon, and sunflowers lined the road. In a few places fields of the sunflowers. The Yuccas I just received after taking Your Advice from one of the Live Shows. Mini Prints? Never heard of them. I have so many boxes of Mini prints, I may need to have a talk with Bernard. Instead of Crows or Ravens (I can never tell the difference) I have Buzzards, Cow and Elk skulls. Thanks for the Video.
Dave had you just left the first 2 it would have been an Attempted murder, but you added the last 2! Murder Dave, a Murder of Ravens! LOL, also, there is something positive to the enjoyable, cathartic action of puttering about one's creation.
Similar, but no. These are wild sunflowers, right down to the seeds. Jerusalem Artichokes have smaller flowers and are gold in the center. These are black.
I think most creative people are always refining their projects. I did a complete restore in 2019 of my 66 Mustang. But just this week I noted that the hood rubber snubs were looking ratty....ordered new ones and replaced. Never REALLY finished....Thanks
Thanks, it's actually based on a real cow that used to reside at Big Thunder Ranch at Disneyland: Mickey Moo. In fact, there were two cows with spots like that. The other was at WDW and named Minnie Moo.
Dave I ponder!🤔 Do you have any bent over, wilting, Sun Flowers? They should have graying leaves and darkened petals.🤨 They would be a real pistol to stamen on the GGRR?😂 Jim in N.Y.💀 P.S. SAVE THE ORG COYOTE. Give it a repaint and return it to TMRR as a rock formations within the desirous gaze of the Mini Prints version.
Just think Dave, maybe in another 10 or 15 years, you might be replacing the coyote, jackalope, and ravens, with holograms or miniature AI bots. Just a thought.
Great video it's the little things that make or break a model RR the big things take care of themselves shame about old coyote your going to have to find a spot to put him where his age and damaged ears are not so obviouse
interesting hidden Mickey. Thanks from Orlando

That is the nicest compliment ever.
Just amazing how small changes can beautify a layout. Excellent work and good ideas. Thanks for showing and have a good time.
Always a pleasure hanging out with you.
I love the cow at the Circle D with a Mickey Mouse spot on its side. Nice touch!
Thanks Dave I was just doing the same thing this afternoon, keep up the great work. You always remind me to carry on with hope Cheers😂
Dave You really improved the trees They look a lot like cottonwood trees . Color and texture are a vast improvement.
👍 Thanks

Great ideas, Dave
Enjoyed it.

Great show tonight. Thank you.
I really love how you put so much thought into even the smallest details. It really finishes a scene beautifully 😊
I did not know there was an official term for that. I do that after I've "finished" a project. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Dave! It’s like making a director’s cut for your layouts, always enjoyable
Dear Sir,
Nice studio! Me critical eye saw a phaser! Live long and prosper!
Cheers from Brazil!
And peace and long life to you 🖖

Healthy coyote. He has been eating well. 🐇 🐰

Great video. Dave, I like the use of the sage brush. Have you ever modeled sage brush on your layout, if so what did you use.
Dear Dave, the small kinda sunflowers you’ve shown, I presume in, or near, your backyard are Jerusalem Artichokes!
Similar, but no. These are wild sunflowers, right down to the seeds. Jerusalem Artichokes have smaller flowers and are gold in the center. These are black.
Oh no! Not the little coyote! You need to find a place for him so he always has a home in Thunder Mesa.

adding a Mickey Mouse spot on the cow was pretty clever.
