Great review…I wish I had this when painted my house! On a positive note, painting my house without this built my faith because I prayed the entire time I was on the ladder! 😂😂😂
Simple and effective. Probably a good choice for most people. Would be nice to have adjustable stand-off distance but I have yet to find such a product. I will probably end up building one.
I used to have one made by Little Giant. It had a wide span for going around windows. It accidentally got ran over by my tractor😣. THe LeveLok is better for going on roofs, in my opinion. Less wear on shingles after several up and down trips on the roof.
I love my level lok system. I ordered mine for window cleaning and they work very well. They stay tight in my ladder and guarantee not to scratch the siding or the shingles when cleaning gutters.
i guess Im asking randomly but does anyone know of a way to log back into an instagram account?? I somehow lost the password. I appreciate any tips you can offer me!
@Cody Jasper thanks for your reply. I got to the site thru google and im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Seems to take quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Nice design. It would be useful to know the standoff distance it provides. It does not look long enough to clear the gutters if you want to lean the ladder against the wall and have the top of the ladder above the gutter so you can then stand above your gutters to clean them. (Edit: just saw it on the product spec - 12 inches - just too short for my soffet / gutter which is 13 inches)
I would think the brackets would keep the ladder from kicking out at the bottom since the brackets rest/hang on the roof. It sure looks like the ladder is positioned at an angle less than 75 degrees at the beginning of this video. Can anyone confirm this.
I probably had the ladder further out at the bottom because of the way I have it landscaped around the house. I definitely feel more secure when using standouts. The silicone elbows hold onto the roof very well and don't gouge the shingles up.
Trying to decide between this system or the Werner AC78. This Levelok seems so lo-tech and almost flimsy. But, it gets good reviews and seems to work good. Often the k i s s is the way to go. And lighter is an advantage. What do you think about Levelok clearing gutters on a 3/12 pitch roof? And, using it with a tile roof? Also, the newer version supports 300 lbs. You mentioned yours is 250 lbs.
I haven't tried the Werner standouts yet. That would make a good review. I have tried the Little Giant standout, which is similar to the Werner. I found they both work well. I feel that the Levelok is easier on the shingles and not as heavy, making the ladder easier to handle and set up. The silicone sleeves don't rub the shingles as much when going up and down. The Werner is wider, making it a better choice if you're going to clean windows too. The Levelok never felt flimsy to me and makes for a secure way to get on a roof. Hope that helps.
@@MarkThomasBuilder what pitch is your roof? I received the Werner and the ladder has to be extended two rungs when installed. The ladder can not be retracted all the way rendering it useless in the shortest position. In other words, my 20 ft, 2 ten ft extensions, can be used only as a 12 ft ladder or longer.
You sound very resourceful. The thing I like about the Levelok standout is that it locks tight into the ladder, with no chance of wiggling around or allowing the ladder to twist.
I don't think it will work. It needs holes in the side of the ladder to attach to. Little Giant makes their own standoff which works well with their ladders.
If you're going on a 2nd level and have an extension ladder, you may need a second person to help lift the ladder and get it in place. It gets top heavy with this up there and you won't want to use it on a windy day.
I have one of the original Little Giant Ladders and I just tried sliding the outer sleeve up, which exposed the holes on the inner ladder. The Standout didn't fit inside the holes. I posted a gutter cleaning video showing the Little Giant Standout. It's a little different looking than this one, but works well.
I think it's possible to have them the last section and still able to fold it. I always take the brackets out when storing any of my ladders I'm using.
If it saves you from falling, it's worth the money. I've found these standout brackets to be the easiest on the shingles. I tried another brand and it rubs the shingles a little much.

Haha, these are a handy item, that's for sure.
Starting my first day as a gutter installer tomorrow and was nervous but when I heard they had these I feel much safer
Good luck on the first day! These definitely give you more support on a ladder.
@@MarkThomasBuilder thank you! It went smoothly!

My silicone didn't last very long. But went to ace hardware, got 12 inches of one-inch hose, and slid them on works great
Great idea. I always wondered about replacing it.
Well done video! Thanks for showing roof setup. Showing distance above gutter to locate on ladder rungs. I have them, so can't put off any longer. )o:

Glad to hear it! I find the ladder isn't as top heavy with Level Lok, compared to other brands.

@Cody Jasper it did the trick and I actually got access to my account again. I'm so happy!
Thanks so much, you really help me out !
I was looking for this type for my ladder. Thank u. Good video.
Glad to help.

THANK YOU FOR THIS REVIEW... I NEED THIS GEAR AND I M HAPPY TO SEE IN ACTION BEFORE BUY 👍👍👍👍🥇
These store pretty easy too. I think you'll be happy with them.
Great idea, simple and effective :-) Thank you Mark
Thanks, glad to help!
I’m ordering this right now!
I use mine all the time. Great for gutter cleaning and getting on the roof.
great video....thanks. Love your cap!
Thanks man! Lots of nice features with these standout brackets.
Didn’t even finish the video before jumping over to Amazon to buy these😂
Haha, oh wow thanks for sharing. I think you'll be happy with them.

You should!
Thank You, I just ordered one.
Awesome I've been very happy with the performance from these standout brackets.

Could these be used to install gutters ?
Yes, I believe the standout brackets will shim the ladder off the roof enough to install gutters.
Great design. I"m going to make my own with 1/2" rebar and an old bike tire!
You sound very resourceful. The thing I like about the Levelok standout is that it locks tight into the ladder, with no chance of wiggling around or allowing the ladder to twist.
And add 100 pounds to the end of your ladder. Better hope it doesn't fall out of the rung.
Good video, will this work with the Little Giant M17?
I don't think it will work. It needs holes in the side of the ladder to attach to. Little Giant makes their own standoff which works well with their ladders.
Will this fit 22 ft. reach 5-in-1 telescoping aluminum multi-position ladder with 375 lbs. load capacity type iaa duty rating?
If the ladder rungs don't have holes on the ends, then no, it won't work.
Why do people purchase those stupid multi-position ladders. Takes half the day to set up and put away. Just buy a professional duty ladder.
can you put each leg into different rungs/heights to stabilize on the gable end of a roof?
I never thought of that, buy yes, each side can be put in different rungs.
What brand and type of ladder are you using?
Krause Multimatic 16' folding ladder.
Can the levellock go on Werner fiberglass ladders?
Yes, I recall that they fit Werner ladders.
Good for one level, for the second level you will hit the gutter like mine I tried it doesn't work.
If you're going on a 2nd level and have an extension ladder, you may need a second person to help lift the ladder and get it in place. It gets top heavy with this up there and you won't want to use it on a windy day.
I love that
Thank you
Glad to help, thanks!👊
Would that work on a flat roof?
I haven't tried, but it seems like it would.
Can these with with the little giant ladders?
I have one of the original Little Giant Ladders and I just tried sliding the outer sleeve up, which exposed the holes on the inner ladder. The Standout didn't fit inside the holes. How and where can I order? Am in malaysia
I provided an Amazon link in the video description. Does that work in Malaysia?
Thanks
You bet 👊
Is there one for D shaped holes on the ladder?
Yes, check this link from Levelok. They fit in the D shape ladders. www.levelok.com/product-category/ladder-standouts-ladder-standoffs/
The problem is that you have to remove them to fully collapse the ladder.
I think it's possible to have them the last section and still able to fold it. I always take the brackets out when storing any of my ladders I'm using.
Excellent

Probly even better and More stable on a real ladder and not one of flimsy 'gadget' ladders. Good info- thanks
Yes, this would work well on a fiberglass ladder.
dang ladder looks like it is going to bend as he is going up...
This ladder is still going strong. I have a metal fold down attic ladder which looks like it's about to snap.
Good idea because I have bent my gutter.
My gutter started to warp before using these standouts. The silicone elbows on the brackets work much better.

Great product but too expensive!

The roper is crap
How much time did you waste setting up that stupid ladder? 😆
Just purchase a quality ladder and stop wasting so much time with those widow makers.
This ladder is pretty solid. One ladder that I'll never buy is the telescoping kind. My goal is to get a 28' Werner fiberglass.
