- The very first song composed by Jagger/Richard on the first Rolling Stones album. Let me join here the lyrics and guitar chords, try it guys , it's really fun to play this:
Voici la toute première compo des rolling stones, rétro de chez rétro ...
(D) I (D9) want you (A) back again (A9 - A) (D) I (D9) want your love (A) again (A9 - A) (F#m)I know you find (G) it hard (A) to reason with me (D)
(F#m) But this time it's different (G - Em7) darling you'll see (A)
You gotta (D) tell me you're coming back to me
You gotta (Bm) tell me you're coming back to me
You gotta (G) tell me you're coming back to me
You gotta (A) tell me you're coming back to me
You said we're through before
You walked out on me before
I tried to tell you, but you didn't want to know
This time you're different and determined to go
You gotta tell me you're coming back to me
You gotta tell me you're coming back to me
You gotta tell me you're coming back to me
You gotta tell me you're coming back to me
I wait as the days go by
I long for the nights to go by
I hear the knock on my door that never comes
I hear the telephone that hasn't rung
You gotta tell me you're coming back to me ...
Superb, you touch the spirit of the 60ties !
Absolutely love it😮

One of my favorite Stones songs...

Exelente! Muy bueno! Amazing!
used to play this in 65.
Grear stones song!!
Very nice, my friend!
Like it very much.
Thumbs up!
Thanks for the lesson, the first one to do the instrumental part of the all time best on Brian's Vox.
Encore une belle interprétation 👍
very nice. I don't think I had heard this one before. your version sounds very cool.
Rocking Rolling Phil! Nice guitar work and singing. And more handsome than Mick Jagger......
Gorgeous. You did a wonderful job, Phil !! I enjoyed it very much!

Thanks a lot , al the very best from France , Phil
haha thanks, he would not like this ... One day , in the studio , the Rolling Stones were working on an album and Mick Jagger was playing the guitar trying some new song, and Keith Richard said to him :" there are two guitar players in this band , and your not one of them ..."
Great job bro.. 00:35 I think it's supposed to be E major not E minor..
Gosh I guess you are right about the E, and even a E7 would sound nice , thanks for telling , all the best from France :)
Class
thank you so much , I discovered the blues of the Stones with this record
Oh mais tu causes the English !! Alors qu'en anglais , quand meme , je pourrais dire : very enjoyed my friend....
PHILIPPE - YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN A STONE DUDE. THAT WAS AWESOME ! COULD I POSSIBLY TWIST YOUR ARM INTO DOING A TUTORIAL ON THIS ONE ?
ah many thanks ! sorry unfortunately I have no time to make any detailed tutorial at the moment but my advice is to read well the chords in the more section and watch the video untill you can pick it by ear and this is good training to discover the technique by your self - good luck :)
THANKS !
Yeah you got the Stones vibes going , you sound almost like Mick , good one 😎🎸🎶
sure and this is one of the first songs they made, thank you !
Philippe Salmon music didn’t know this ... tell me ... maybe you’d like to have a listen to
My latest ... ? that’s on dobro slide ... Americana
Mille grazie, Philippe!
In età, s'intende :-)
Buon weekend e a presto,
Francesco
Buona musica,
Francesco
Loved it then and still do...
thank you so much , best regards from France , Phil
WOW gonna work this up! you are a dude for sure! English is obviously not your first language, but you nailed this, and witha
cockney accent! Bravo!
+David Schultz many thanks ! and yes I am french, but I have heard these old songs so many times that I unconsciously took the accent of Mick - best regards
hard to say which one was the very first to be writen there may be a few days of delay ... , but "tell me" was the first to be released in an album (the first album) and as a A side. You can learn more about this in the Wikipedia page , (search Rolling stones songwriting history)
anyway , thanks for listening, friendly from france , Philippe
For unknown to me reasons, this tune is the most favorite of Stones! Could anybody explain what string to pick at 1:41 ?
I play a "free" arpeggio on D A D A A9 F#m G A D F#m G Em And I admit this is not exactly like the original which is played by Keith, there is no exact tab of this online but my advice would be to listen again and again until you find it by ear :) good luck
Philippe Salmon Thanks. Keep rocking old time classics :)
"It's all over now" was not the first song that they wrote?
