The “sad beige” aesthetic has always been a favorite of mine because too much color is overwhelming. Especially in a workspace. Love the room!!!!

If anyone is wondering why the beige clean minimalist aesthetic became / is so popular…from a mental health neurological perspective: a large number of our human population has ADHD and other neurodivergence which color subconsciously irritates. For me as a woman with ADD I get overwhelmed quickly, mostly at the thought of the list of tasks I have each day. A beige minimalist work space and home decreases my anxiety and overthinking, creates that clean feel I need to submerge myself in a peaceful environment. Due to my scattered thoughts a lot of color distracts me. This is also found in real medical studies that adults with attention and focus issues performed better in a more color neutral space. Of course when it comes to children we have to apply a different approach as all children need to be exposed to all colors. However a helpful way to do so is by having colorful toys that get put away in storage and get taken out to play with. In fact children should learn to keep their space neat and clean regardless of color or sad beige. Hope that helps someone design their space to their needs ❤
