Nice utilization of space for a smaller vehicle. Way awesome. I thought about getting a honda element but settled on a large suv instead. You definitely have the benefit of better gas mileage. If ever you can find the room, one of those small diesel heaters are fantastic. I got one for my set up. I rewired the thermostat so it is in the back and it just cycles on and off like a regular furnace. Just 2 holes through the floor for exhaust and intake. I use about 1/10 - 1/4 gal per night to heat my rig when it's cold outside. I built a platform bed in mine that sits well above the floor and it frees up alot of extra space for more storage under my bed along with the furnace. The width of my bed is less than half of the vehicle and its full length. Planning on building some actual drawers on sliders for underneath the bed for clothes, canned goods, water etc. How long does your potable water stay fresh for? @@HerbsElement I don’t really mean the build, but rather the organization. I bet you’d have a lot more room! Everybody has their own “system” though, so it wasn’t criticism. My husband and I have a 2003 and a 2004, both look nearly new. I live vicariously on the road through you, Rosa,Mindi and the other Element dwellers!
The build comes with how you organize those my bed has space underneath it so I use it I would possibly think about removing my passenger seat but maybe when I get to the well coast I would try that out I could leave the seat at my bothers place that would give me a bit more ground room but definitely something I would have to test out
I like the idea. But its time to take everything out at once and make a choice if it goes back in. Like the cups, the chalk, basically everything that's not making life easier now. Much Love dude.
I started off just like you, it was supposed to be temporary but I lived in my 2017 Chrysler 300 and ended up loving the freedom and waking up next to my morning appointments . I took care of so many things but my car broke down I ended up homeless I couldn't afford the repairs which kept happening and the last time I used up my resources and couldn't pay. But I loved living on the road and showering at the gym .. just wish I had a car your size or a van . The only problem is you better be prepared if your car ever breaks down ..
Honestly this is a sloppy setup. Definitely not for me, but you aren't doing this for me you're doing this for you and you love every bit of it. That's all that matters. Keep traveling and enjoying yourself

Wow! Your van is really crowded. At least, you have everything you need for work all within arms reach. I hope living and working in your van is allowing you to save money to get a bigger vehicle at some point. I didn't hear you say where your pup sleeps, and rides on your journeys.

Thx for sharing. The thing about not being in their system and living happy and free. Is you need an acceptable and approved based for them regarding bank account, credit cards and IDs So using a friend address is a solution for these documents. Myself bought a 46 feet long Class A 2014,the Rockstar bus...but hey its 110k and payments are 1000$ a month. Working in orchard 7 months a year living in it there then the cold off months(Canada here) camping has off seasons rates around 500-600$ a month plus power(100-130$) a month. Long life bro
Awesome! I love this! I just got back from travelling around for 3 weeks in my 2005 skola fabia station which I converted into a micro camper as well. I love how easy life became and how everything becomes a ritual and everything gets its own place to live. Well done and enjoy it for as long as you like!
@@HerbsElement I thought they might, instead of the Prologue, bring the Element back as their first fully electric vehicle. It would have done so, so well.
Kindred Spirit here. I have the 300 jackery and a 1800 Bluetti. Right now im (trying new things out) using the 300 for my ICECO 20lt fridge/freezer. Currently in a Toyota Highlander. I had been toying with the idea of removing the front seat (middle row has been removed), was nice to hear your thoughts on why you left yours. Great vid.
You should store your clothes in the pillow protector case that way your clothes will stay fresh because sweat and odor won’t penetrate it like regular pillow case fabric, plus you can put the pillow case over it. How do you keep your water safe on the roof?
A lot of element enthusiast build the sliding drawers long and deep in back of their cars it Organizes everything and easy to find allowing more room They also put up a Tent roof from inside of car allowing them more space as well to sleep in during summer months.
Isn’t that the best part about these cars ever one has there own kind of set up and I love that so much every one sees the cars as a blank canvas and they make something out of them
Very impressive build. You've gotta show us some of those yoyo skills! I think I'd have a set up very similar to yours when I get a new car. They don't sell the Element here in Australia so I'm not sure what to get... Maybe a RAV4? 😀
Brother that's a sick gengar. Brilliant idea for you water reservoir. I would totally get one of those just cause how practical it is in a survival situation.
New Sub! You two came up on my suggested videos so here I am and here I'll stay. Happy Trails!
Just curious, how many miles on tgat Element? Was looking into a used one in really good condition with 70k miles on it going for $8800. Seems expensive to me though. Its a 2006.
Not sure about the element price but in general .. MOST Hondas are die hards if kept up with maintenance. I had a Honda Civic that I did my 1st couple years with the nomad life, even pulled a 5x10 cargo trailer with it.. yes you read that lol. bought it used 52k miles, retired it at 298k and was still running solid. Best of luck and maybe see ya on the road some where in travels.
Thanks for sharing your build! I love the way your Element looks! And gengar is also my favorite Pokémon! That being said, my barber has been doing van life for a year now and he tells me he didn’t expect how much anxiety he would feel having his entire life inside his van. Have you experienced similar feelings? He said he felt it the most when he had to park somewhere far and felt the need to constantly be checking on his van whenever he was out with friends. In any case, wish you best of luck in this life journey man!
Yeah that’s definitely a thing that happens if I park some where to far I definitely get a bit of anxiety because yeah my whole life is in the car and people do be doing a lot of smash and grabs as of late so definitely a bit scary sometimes

Love it! Great ideas you have! Wish I was younger and stronger. I would do the same and build some wealth. Is this a less expensive option than renting?
Because I’m traveling as much as i am I would say it’s about as expensive as rent but when I’m in a single place and am not going state to state I spend maybe 400 a month that being 120 on my phone 115 on car insurance and the rest on food it can be very cheap

The build comes with how you organize those my bed has space underneath it so I use it I would possibly think about removing my passenger seat but maybe when I get to the well coast I would try that out I could leave the seat at my bothers place that would give me a bit more ground room but definitely something I would have to test out
You inspire me brother to get out and really do some LIVING. Meanwhile I'm stuck in this house. Dreaming...☮
It’s definitely nice to be out and about bro I know how it can be stuck at home 😕
I like the idea. But its time to take everything out at once and make a choice if it goes back in. Like the cups, the chalk, basically everything that's not making life easier now. Much Love dude.
Yeah being on a road trip has definitely cluttered her up a bit after this video I got rid of a lot of stuff i didn’t need or have use for
I'm fairly sure he could lay his hands on anything he was looking for in a minute. Buy I'd stay in chaos. Kudos to you and hades❤
Everything is with in hands reach that needs to be for sure
I started off just like you, it was supposed to be temporary but I lived in my 2017 Chrysler 300 and ended up loving the freedom and waking up next to my morning appointments . I took care of so many things but my car broke down I ended up homeless I couldn't afford the repairs which kept happening and the last time I used up my resources and couldn't pay. But I loved living on the road and showering at the gym .. just wish I had a car your size or a van . The only problem is you better be prepared if your car ever breaks down ..
Having stuff in savings for brake downs is important for sure
The clothes stuffed pillow case is brilliant
Yeah definitely helps save on space
Keep doing your thing, brother! I'm envious of a life that does not require giving up most my pay on what we call Necessities
Hell yeah man I’ll definitely keep on doing my thing and yeah most things we think we need we just don’t
This is a cool setup really shows how a Honda Element can be used as a camper
Yeah it is
Honestly this is a sloppy setup. Definitely not for me, but you aren't doing this for me you're doing this for you and you love every bit of it. That's all that matters. Keep traveling and enjoying yourself
😋 thanks
Yeah,I agree 100%
@@LexiSantos, I get that this it's not for you but using the word "Sloppy" is just rude! Very Sloppy vocabulary! ✌️
@@LexiSantos you chose to insult the man and then tried to lighten the blow and make your comment seem genuine at the end . You could have kept the first part to yourself. I cant stand egotistical losers like you.
Nice underhanded compliment, weirdo
Amazon sells boxes specifically for hiding cables. They have open holes on the sides for the cables to come out of but the bulk of the cables stay hidden inside. Just a suggestion 😎
That would be cool I’ll look into it
Wow! Your van is really crowded. At least, you have everything you need for work all within arms reach. I hope living and working in your van is allowing you to save money to get a bigger vehicle at some point. I didn't hear you say where your pup sleeps, and rides on your journeys.
He sleeps with me and sits where ever haha he likes to roam
I live in my van and a big man like you,and when I got to take a dump I can't wait to find a bathroom.
Thumbs up dude! You got everything u need in your tiny Honda Element and seem to be happy with it. I live in an own house and feel like missing so much things.
I have the greatest respect for you
Thank you man and I can’t believe how many people from Germany have been so cool y’all rock
This is kind of brilliant, and I love your sense of aesthetics! The one thing I wish you would have shown us was the fully extended bed with the driver's side seat reclined!
Oh how funny you ask for that I did a reply video and I show the full bed
I absolutely love it. !! I like that you showed it raw and un edited because some may like all the Instagram super clean and what not I loved this video was my first time watching and I think what ever makes you happy heck ya !!
I wanted to give everyone a real look Iv been on a trip for 3 months and I wanted to show what van life for is this is my daily I love it
You are very organised and I love that you know where everything is at any given time! Your wee dog is adorable. 🐕 ✌️
Thank you very much everything is where I know it is and the pup is the best
Why am I a liar? Explain please?
@@HerbsElement Apparently, the commenter,@LJ777 thinks I'm a liar. Which I'm not and do not appreciate being called one. I was being honest with what I said. I want that comment taken down. Me and my wife are about to get rid of our apartment for vanlife it's scary af but vids like this I find oddly comforting showing us that it will be ok
It will definitely be a transition for sure but if you guys put time into making the van a home I’m sure you 2 will do just fine I would practice being in a confined space together
It’s quite a mess to be honest but if you’re happy that’s all it matters and I respect that-heck I wish I could feel that free but with wife and kids and a mortgage not gonna happen anytime soon 😅 wish you luck in your endeavors sir.
Yeah man having a family and house kinda locks you in for sure but I’m sure you are a happy man thank you dude I’ll be needing your luck ☺️
Okay, when you dropped that rear hatch my jaw dropped! Great organizational skills!!
Yeah I have it set up for the stuff I need
Honda element is literally one of the most functional cars ever built
💯 agreed
I cant believe how much you got into that passenger side. You are amazing.
I love Tetris what can I say haha
Legit nicest most functional vanlife vehicle
Thank you it works for me and I’m happy about it
Thx for sharing.
The thing about not being in their system and living happy and free.
Is you need an acceptable and approved based for them regarding bank account, credit cards and IDs
So using a friend address is a solution for these documents.
Yeah that’s definitely a lot going on for sure I use friends and family for sure
Awesome setup! I would love to see you show us your mad yo-yo skills! That would be crazy awesome!
I will have to bust them out in the next live ☺️
You literally have EVERYTHING in there and still have space!! Crazy because I always thought elements were too space for car life lol just followed
Thanks for the follow and yeah definitely a awesome car
Life is going to bless you with a Mini RV, dude! You see 💯✌️🫡
That would be wild haha
Awesome! I love this! I just got back from travelling around for 3 weeks in my 2005 skola fabia station which I converted into a micro camper as well. I love how easy life became and how everything becomes a ritual and everything gets its own place to live. Well done and enjoy it for as long as you like!
Sounds like a good ass time 😃
@@HerbsElement it was! Was travelling around in Sweden
Owned an Element for 2 years and outfitted it into a camping machine. Those vehicles were ahead of their time.
They really are Honda maybe bringing them back
@@HerbsElement I thought they might, instead of the Prologue, bring the Element back as their first fully electric vehicle. It would have done so, so well.
@@brenreidy8763 for real it would have done amazing
God I love my Honda Element sooooo much. I know it’s got me if things go south in life
It really will this car will have your back for sure
Just found your channel….love the signatures! …nice set up!
Thank you very much this car is just always getting me where ever I need to go thank you for the support
Great vid.
Dude heck yeah I hope to see ya on the road 😄
Cleanest living space on wheels I ever seen very well organized for free shoutout to you brother 🫡
I like the water idea. You have a good set up. Those back doors are definitely convenient.
Thank you so much I definitely like my set up and the back doors are very convenient
You should store your clothes in the pillow protector case that way your clothes will stay fresh because sweat and odor won’t penetrate it like regular pillow case fabric, plus you can put the pillow case over it. How do you keep your water safe on the roof?
Love this video. Like someone else commented, looks like a real person lives here. So glad to have found your channel. I liked and subscribed.
Yeah I do be living in here 😅 I liked that comment as well because I was like Yeah I do live in there haha
The water pipe is pure genius!!!
It’s such a nice thing to have for real
@@HerbsElement Wouldnt the water stay cooler in a white PVC?
A RAV4 would make for a great car to camp/live out of I would say do it man build that bad boy
The water tube on top is clever! This is an awesome build so far
Thank you I do have a video on making the tube it’s a few videos back but if you look I’m sure you will find it 😄
New sub thx for the tour. Looks cozy and thx for exercising that 2nd amen.
Heck yeah man you know it thanks for the sub
Brother that's a sick gengar. Brilliant idea for you water reservoir. I would totally get one of those just cause how practical it is in a survival situation.
Thank you man thank you
This is awesome! Good job I love how you have everything set up!
Thank you
Duncan yo yo’s ....... I still have 1 from the 60’s . Great build‼️
Love me my yo-yos 🪀
Hey bro Herb I hope 1 day you make it big enough to afford a sprinter van omg you could make and unbelievable build out of those bro.
I would want a bus build next a short bus I feel like that would be fun
An MCT city Bus is perfect....I think they are an f450 chassis...And you can buy them for under 15k then build
@@SmallRvElement that would be cool for sure
Love the no build, build. You seem to have all the creature comforts you need!
It’s definitely my personal build ☺️ i love it for sure
Look at 9th Element for some organization ideas of a small place.
Yeah seen it I like how my lay out is right now ☺️
New Sub! You two came up on my suggested videos so here I am and here I'll stay. I like the Element, I've not seen or noticed one before being in Motor and Vehicle Cities, my Mom had a continental with suicide doors and I love that about your Honda might have to go test drive one, I'll tell em you sent me! Happy Trails!
I 💯 agree you should test drive one they are a good car and I’m glad you subbed thank you for helping out my channel 😊
Happy to see you doin your thang man! It's Ken from Chicago! Lost your number about a year ago 😭. If your journey ever takes you to the Chicagoland area definitely hit me up so I can give you a tour!
I don’t think I’ll be going that way this time but you will know if I go that way for sure I always post when ever I’m in a new state
This is awesome bro I subbed within 30 seconds. You rock man, I’ve lived in my car for a couple weeks at a time for work and travel. I keep a planet fitness membership and shower at them. I don’t have a home I stay with a relative. The only thing I don’t bring with me is some of my tools, I’m constantly downsizing. My car is a 5 speed versa sedan. You have everything organized it seems like
Man that’s awesome thank you for subbing and I like hearing peoples story’s every one has a backstory and I really like hearing them I hope you are doing bro 😀
I just found your channel. I am a new subscriber. Nice set up.
Thank you so much I definitely enjoy my car
Epic. 👏👏👏👏 I had a element but downsize to a smaller car because of the high gas prices. I was always going to convert my element but never gotten a chance. Really miss that car but I'm happy with my civic. Your build was really nice.
Thank you so much yeah the elements is a good car for sure but Honda just be making awesome cars
I like your PVC water tank. That is a good idea. I’ll have to do that. Thanks.
Definitely give it a shot I love mine
If you got one of those tents for the back, you could keep the hatch open and gain some more living space, when the weather allows
True true
Brother F the haters! You doing your thang god bless!!!!
Definitely will do bro
Just subbed. Was watching Rosie living in her Element but she decided to take a hike on the Appalachian trail i think. Somewhere anyway. Element. Owners get together somewhere every year and swap stories. So I shall watch you. Hello from N.C. Love your doggie
Hi thank you for the sub and I’m in N.C right now now in Raleigh I’ll be leaving to Oklahoma soon but it’s been really nice here 😀
Those wheels are sick man love that tuner look they also have like a fake bead lock look to them!
The exposed hardware looks is what sold me on them I definitely like them as well thanks dude
Is that a tail of the dragon sticker on the back passenger side window? I am 20 minutes away from the dragon! Phenomenal road and place!

2- How to you keep your clothes not wrinkled?
3- How to you replenish your water supply?
4- how do you keep things charged with out the Solar Panel since your missing yours?
5- How many GBs of Data do you pay for on that Wifi Puck?

2- they get wrinkled the heat from the sun normally gets rid of the shirt wrinkles
3-I can buy water or go to parks around me and fill up there from water stations
4-I got another solor panel and a jackery is also being charged by cigarette lighter plug-in, when the car is on
5-200 gigs of data is on that puck and some times I can’t even use it all
