As an introvert let me tell you, being introvert never equals being socially awkward, unfriendly, private and shy. Introverts can be the opposite depending on different contexts. What sets us apart from the extroverts is how much energy is drained by doing so. I understand that the purpose of your video is breaking down Winter but the way you put it makes it as if you were doubting the introvert idols for succeeding in the highly public entertainment industry, which is a super common but false way society perceives the intros.
I totally understand where you’re coming from. I think there is definitely some simplification; and introversion is a spectrum at the end of the day. My goal with this sort of framing was to create a contrast with the other members, but it can come off like I’m saying it’s harder for introverts or that they all have crippling social anxiety. And Winter definitely isn’t shy all of the time! So with future deep dives I’ll try to be a little more mindful of that complexity. :) Thank you for your comment!

Although mbti can’t change (the reason why people think that is because their cognitive functions are still developing), there are many extroverts who prefer being alone who have social anxiety OR bad communication skills. In my view, I’m very extroverted, and I always identify as an ENFP, but some of my relatives and many of my acquaintances thought me to an introvert! Why? Because although I’m highly outgoing, I choose when I want to be social and when not. I’m aware that my comment sounds unnecessary.
my father always tells me to be friendly out in school, i said that im really introverted and not really comfortable talking to people unless they talk to me. But yea my dad gets mad and it made me think that something is might wrong with me and lost all my confidence, but to be honest when i watch winter talking about her being introverted it made me kind of lighten up to become more myself. Just discovered these Idol Deep Dives and watched several in a row. Your compassion, positivity, and thoughtfulness is so heartwarming. I love kpop, but I feel like there can be a lot of judgement and projection in the fandom. I feel like you take the perspective of, "These are just young people trying to be the best version of themselves they are trying to be," and you really try to get into their heads and empathize with where they're coming from! It's so sweet.

As a Winter fan who’s followed her since debut I’d like to add a few more things about her. First, it has been clarified last year when they created their weverse account that Winter is also a main vocalist. SM has never specified the girl’s positions and they themselves have said the group was kinda positonless in the past (even though in the early years some media refered to her as a main vocal as well). Also, for the friends fact, I would add Ryujin of ITZY, chaehyun of Kepler, and Seulgi of RedVelvet; all of whom she’s talked in the past of hanging out with. Also she has a childhood friend that she always talks about and hangs out with (that’s who helped film that Okinawa vlog) Although you’re correct to say she is an introvert, it is not as extreme as portrayed. She has been seen freely talking to her seniors at various events. She has actually gotten more extroverted as she gets used to the industry and idol life. Recently she retook the MBTI test and was classified as extroverted. I think her shyness has definitely subsided since debut. I’d actually say she’s been one of the most outspoken member since debut. She has always expressed her opinion to staff and has been in the forefront of bringing up grievances. Just earlier this year she was discussing revamping aespa’s lightstick and taking fans’ ideas. I think that’s because she pays so much attention to detail that she speaks up when she sees a problem or wants to edit something. A fun fact I’d like to add is that she is a big gifter. She has given staff expensive wine, she brought tons of gifts for a dance crew she was filming with, and whenever she’s on set filming, she buys food for everyone. Most recently she bought melon bread for all the staff.
There is nothing bad about Winter. She is beautiful, cute, and very talented. And she seems to have an amazing personality. On top of everything else, she is a consummate professional and an exceptional actor. I look forward to any new content featuring her. She's my ultimate bias.
The groups and several other groups ability to support members that need a little more consideration to function well, amazes me in a culture that otherwise seems hostile to mental differences.The growth of aespa over the years, that they can show video when something bothers Winter and how the group handle to make it better is hearth warming.

The term "introvert", when used in MBTI and similar personality descriptors, is a little misleading. I think a more accurate word is "introspective". As someone here said, being an I doesn't (only) mean being social shy and awkward. It can instead point to a characteristic of being constantly thinking, examining and talking to oneself "inside". We "I"s often overthink and overanalyse. We sometimes appear to be quiet, but we are actually deeply analysing a situation or person, forming a judgment and preparing an appropriate response (for which we also overthink!). Outwardly, we can be friendly, sociable, even loud, but at the same we have an inner mechanism making lots of calculations of the situation. Well, apart from this, Winter is my bias!!! Love her so much.

I notice EVERYTHING, until the point where people think I stalk the, butI just remember every single detail they said on a random 10:13pm. plot twist, I am a painfully not obvious infj.....probably because i care way too much about others that makes me one and the need to throw a leadership title to everything. Thoguh I do get so extremely exhausted and will pass out if i do spend too much of my energy and extroverted cash, i will get extremely sick and irritated lmao
