This episode was such a joy to make - we spent weeks making it perfect and I laughed and teared up in the process. A real privilege to have this kind of access into a company's history and share it with you. Hope you enjoy it!

Hi Madison, this series is actually really good. Keep up the good work. Your subscriber and view counts are relatively low, but the quality is insane! You'll be a superstar in no time.

Thanks! I've being doing this show for 1.5 years but only just started my own UA-cam channel. Hence the low views/subs. Every one counts so thanks for your support!

I love this deep dive into a relatively unknown business story outside of the NZ investment community. So rare to see Marko talking openly and candidly about his role. They’re normally such a closed doors fortress quietly delivering world class performance - so it’s brilliant so see you crack open the Morrison portcullis. Scoop! 🎉
Also intelligent questioning without the gotcha sound bite media approach that irritates so many of us. . . Brilliant.

Brilliant interview of brilliant peps: "strike while the irons hot" lesson learned but too much red tape for healthy local investment? so... Outside nations ball park. Hey and my Telco service still sucks too mate.

I worked for Air NZ from 1989 to 1991. Low wage to start and not a single pay rise for cost of living or promotion. The place just fell apart. Rob Morrison is no friend of mine. He is a ruthless capitalist and a classic corporate raider. The NZ Gordon Geeko if ever I saw one. Don't fooled by his amiable grand-dad appearance. This man is a shark who is only interested in a profit at any cost. Because of him I left NZ for European where I earned a massively higher income. I was part of the NZ brain drain.

was he even at Air NZ?

@@Gumden Maddy said in the interview that he advised NZ on their 1989 privatisation, and no doubt took a hefty consult's fee for doing so, whilst at the same telling Air NZ to slash numbers by stopping all pay rises and freezing promotions and then on Xmas Eve 1989 carry out a mass slaughter of staff by literally terminating all the management, to create only 4 layers in NZ from cleaner to CEO. This meant that a lowly supervisor overnight became a department manager, without a pay rise, going from having responsibility for example 12 staff to hundreds.
