I'd suggest from the decades tour 2018: "The devil and the deep dark ocean" and "Dead boys poem" . Both awesome performances.

Since you're a drummer, 2 Nightwish songs are inescapable: Weak Fantasy (live, Tampere) and Devil & the Deep Dark Ocean (live, B. Aires).

Time to check out some from the Buenos Aries show, the crowd is insane and that ups the bands performance......Devel and the Deep Dark Ocean is fantastic, Kai kills it so does Marco and Floor
Something totally different. 'While You're Lips are Still Red', 'Slow, Love Slow', 'Creek Mary's Blood', 'Sahara', 'The Islander', 'My Walden', '10th Man Down'. You have a lot different Nightwish styles yet to discover.
I have the hair for windmilling, but I don't have the neck for it.
Another good one from Wembley Arena is "7 Days to the Wolves" with Floor and Marko, once again, on vocals. Great harmonies. Tuomas windmilling towards the end, he can really challege Floor.
"I want my tears back" Buenos Aires is such a fun performance. The Argentinian crowd going crazy. Troy playing the Uillean pipes. And Floor dancing aroung the stage.
Yep, all of those, highly recommended.

Greetings from Finland. In 2015 when Nightwish performed at the SSE Wembley Arena, their show was voted 2nd best after Queen, which is no wonder as Queen is your legendary domestic band.
P.S. This song is aimed at those cowards that hide behind pseudonyms and use foul language to attack people in social media platforms like the 1st verse says

Nightwish still evolves. There isn't a song the same as another. You still will be amazed by every song. They're so talented. And Tuomas is just a genius!

Please take a visit to the Decades concert live from Buenos Aires. The setlist is made of old Nightwish songs, but now featuring Floor Jansen!!! It’s a must watch!!!
Great reaction B. Kai Hahto, as a young man, completed undergraduate degree in music and traveled a lot around to take private lessons with world famous drummers. He took lessons from Joe Morello, Jim Chapin, John Riley and especially from Freddie Gruber (his idol). Kai: "In the summer of 2002, I took a bank loan to get to Freddie Gruber’s lessons in New York. A little earlier, he had restored the playing of both Dave Weckl and Neil Peart in such a fundamental and wonderful way that I had to get to his lessons." Kai himself has also taught many drummers. He has said that he also knows more about drummer's ergonomics than an average drummer because he has taken several Alexander technology courses on the subject.

Another first I wanted to add. It's also your first time hearing a Nightwish song that was written for Floor. All the other songs were written for either Annette or Tarja. As a matter of fact, Floor was not even a permanent member at the time the Wäcken concert was recorded.

Just to clarify, it was Wembley Arena, not Wembley Stadium (where Queen did their legendary concert), this it not to take anything away from anything, just to clarify.

Haha I mean this in the kindest way possible, but "vast majority of what Nightwish has to offer" made me laugh. We appreciate your reactions! You are excellent. :) There are soooo many reasons to keep checking out Nightwish, because they are capable of more things than you can imagine.

I would estimate that you have seen less than half of the what Nightwish can do - and that is seriously meant.
On the Wacken 2013 concert, Floor was singing old songs, not written to her voice, but of course she had made them her own - but they had never had a singer that versatile before so...
From 2015 and foreward, most of the songs are written to Floor's voice and the harmonies with Marco and / or Troy. The old songs the perform on the decades tour are done in pure Floor style, using her forces - so from 2015 and foreward, you will discover Nightwish and Floor evolving beyond the limits, while they don't have any! Tuomas can write whatever he wants - Floor, Marco and Troy will outperform his wildest ideas anytime, while they just develope new voice techniques - and are doing it smiling all over.
So - you have really something coming your way 😉 🤘 🤘

Dude, your laugh at the end of the second chorus... nearly a perfect Marko-Laugh for the spot in the last two lines.... he has a longer laugh to signals "This is the last line" to the other band members. (if you listen to the other versions of this song, he does the same thing... I'd bet dollars to dognutz that it is a signal they use in the band...anyway)
So yeah, you could sub in your laugh for one of Marko's. Good reaction.
Just in case you're thinking that, even now, you've got a handle on the breadth of Nightwish, try _The Islander_ from the Tampere concert. No spoilers, but it'll take you in a completely new direction.
And, of course, there's the Human. :||: Nature. album - they had to invent higher-dimensional mathematics to describe the direction _that_ takes you...
