I thought music peaked from 2008-2013 in my opinion, and I remember back then the UA-cam comment section was filled with 90's babies; now I am starting to see the 2010's generation overtaking the 2000's babies in terms of amount of comments.
2015, 2016 and 2017 were the BEST YEARS EVER! The fact that we're not able to go back in time and never live those moments again and they're going to stay as memories... it really, REALLY hurts incredibly hard.
Trust me. Its not actually as uncommon as you think it is. But I will give you advice. You should definitely go ahead and live outside your comfort zone. Life cant be perfect. Life is about improving YOURSELF, not comparing with others. Your life is what you make it.

Turned 21 this year.. had a great time with friends who i barely talk to anymore. If i could go back to 2011-16 I'd stay there for as long as I could. So many memories, so many friendships that no longer feel the same. I miss that era

summer 2015 was such an incredible time for me. I had started my first real "adult" job as a banker, and was going out at night with lots of coworkers, going to clubs, bars, bowling, etc. I also met my love that summer. Hearing these makes me feel like I'm sitting in a bathroom stall, scrolling on my phone in peace for a moment before getting back out to my friends or my boyfriend for another round. The summer 2015 and 2016 mixes really bring back those wild and fun times.

Waw, I was 21 this year, and I spent three months in California during summer 2015, with some friends. I remember when we were listening to these songs while exploring California, driving in the Death Valley, eating at in-and-out, walking in the Sequoia Ntl Park, waiting for 4 hours at the US/Mexico boundary.... I turned 22 in Las Vegas, it was amazing. These years look so far away, and I feel a lot of nostalgia and sadness while listening to this... Time has changed. Too much.

26 now. 2014-2016 were literally some of the best years of my life and the music popped right off. it’s a different kind of nostalgia i can’t describe but i love thinking back to those times.
I dropped out of school in 2014 but yeah I remember how music and parties were so nostalgic and cool back then

2012-2016 we’re the best years for me after that people around me started fading away and the world just felt really dark and grey
It wasn’t as vibrant or colorful like even the early 2000s and even as good as u said 2012-2016. It just feels backwards now since like 2017 or 2018. It just feels like the essence is gone.

Guys, don’t be sad. I know some times you feel like life felt better back then and that you wish you could go back in time. But instead of being sad, be thankful that god gave you the opportunity to enjoy those times.

Honestly the empty bathroom with the mood lighting is just as serene as the drowned out music in the background. The bathroom served as a break from the party where you recollected yourself…and looking back on those times now it just hits different - like we never actually knew we were truly in the moment back then

U go back to the past.. to the very places that u remember making the best memories, whether it's with friends or ur family. U hear these songs playing.. but something is missing, no one is there except U. It's a reality of loneliness and emptiness as everyone moved on from the past except U!
millenial here; it makes me smile to see alot of you guys remenicscing about your younger days. we went through the same periods, thinking about the 90's- late 2000's. sounds like you guys had some amazing times in a period where all i felt was just adulthood. it's good hearing the memories you will all carry with your forever.
just know (i speak from experience...i know "oh good the boomers talking!" but here me out)...this isnt the end. it feels like you lost a part of yourself. the truth is, you're about to write a whole new person. right now you will be feeling this again in another 10 years or so and you will have memories that will make you smile. it goes on and on. you will have memories like this again. the best part is you get to experience it today.

Waw, I was 21 this year, and I spent three months in California during summer 2015, with some friends. I remember when we were listening to these songs while exploring California, driving in the Death Valley, eating at in-and-out, walking in the Sequoia Ntl Park, waiting for 4 hours at the US/Mexico boundary.... I turned 22 in Las Vegas, it was amazing. These years look so far away, and I feel a lot of nostalgia and sadness while listening to this... Time has changed. Too much.
