This figure looks badass, it doesn't look like saibot but nevertheless it's a pretty sick assassin looking figure. The bloody variant looks insanely cool though.
Man, that detail work looks good. Really wish they'd stop it with the trigger finger hands through, they just don't look right unless the weapon is a rapier or estoc. On a side note however, Scythes are the big ones, they're basically old school lawnmowers. Sickles are the smaller one handed types and are basically old school weed trimmers.
While I do prefer Noob's klassic look, and even use his klassic skin in MK11, I do like his new design. It's fitting for the reaper-esque assassin he became.
i like the new look. it's nice, from a story-telling standpoint, to see the old ninja copy-and-paste models take their own form. It gives the characters and stories far more depth.
I actually dont have the normal one, I have the GAMESTOP exclusive Bloody Noob Saibot, but I do agree with pretty much everything you said in this review! I also agree on the fact that the new look is cool, but I LOVE the klassic ninjas! Keep up the amazing work! God bless, Anthony!
Every time McFarlane figures disappoint me I just remind myself that no one does it better for $20. Just wish they started making $30 figures if it meant adequate accessories like NECA. Except that I think NECA has been raising their prices astronomically so...
The trigger finger hands and lack of thigh swivels with McF figures drive me absolutely nuts! Kabal and Noob actually do have thigh swivels (and Kabal at least gets two swords to put in his trigger finger hands), so ironically they're among my favourite of the MK11 figures despite the fact that I don't like either character. With every new McF figure announcement I pray that they will start incorporating thigh swivels as a standard, but seemingly no such luck so far...
@@coldnova1037 i don't care if the rotation happens at the hip, mid-thigh, or above the knee, the point is a figure needs to be able to point their knees at different angles to be able to do any kind of deep stance or dynamic poses, and 90% of McF figures can't. Adding more articulation below the knee wouldn't help (and is redundant due the ball jointed ankles anyway)
Once again, body sculpts are the issue. I think they get the game models because those faces are too on target. At this point there are two Mcfarlane bodies. One has a double ball peg torso like Noob. The other is a single ball peg and it's on their ab crunch. They typically do it for characters where Mcfarlane doesn't want to disrupt the sculpt. These are the bodies with a hollow lower torsos. Both have some bad downsides they could address without needing to retool the whole thing. Despite it's price point, Mcfarlane could throw in two fists. That should just be standard at this point.
My favourite of his is his MK9 design as he has elements of being a ninja, like his mask being similar to his sub zero mask. But I think I prefer his classic design over the newer

Aside from that, it should have been a deluxe figure with his shadow clone imo. Cause thats the prime thing hes known for, and buying two, doesn't quite work for this version.
one could dream but giving this guy poppable arms with 2 portal-like fillers and a stand to hold the arms to simulate a move where his hand teleports and attacks the enemy would be dope! maybe if mafex does these.

And the mini figures are awesome, those were the ones I had as a kid. I've only gotten into the larger 8" ones recently...

If it was just a random Assassin's Creed figure I think it'd be cool. For Noob Saibot? Not really a fan of it. I'd honestly like if they kind of combined some of the ideas in this figure with a traditional ninja. Make him a traditional Ninja, but give him a hooded robe instead, and maybe keep the shotel blades.

They don’t need a thigh cut if they make the leg system work it would be great maybe a boot cut would be better as it could be hidden

He doesn’t have eyebrows sculpted because that’s a mask.
Noob’s look in in MK 11 beat out his MK 9 look as far as being my favorite. That being said I think he has some of the weakest voice acting in MK 11.
I think this is the worst noob has looked, Even the alt skins are slightly better. My favorite is prob mk deception and mk 9 as second place
