This video could be so much better if it didn't keep oscillating between factual and wildly sarcastic. The tone is all over the place and even kids will watch this and find it a jumbled mess. It's not funny if your intent is far from clear. Good luck

@@lawjef where was the Sarcasm? As a Shepard owner i can guarentre this is all just factual. I had to rewatch it to try to find the Sarcasm other then in a very obvious for a joke manner.

My Penelope was a Shepherd/Collie, and I was lucky enough to have her for 14 years! She would stay in our front yard, and on walks, unleashed, by my side, because she was trained with love. My face was the last thing she saw when it was time to let her go. I STILL miss her, 38 years later❣💔

German Shepherds are thee best! I had one growing up and as a puppy, she started barking incessantly and when my mom went to look what she was barking at, our neighbors house across the field and on the other side of the trees was on fire and she sensed something was wrong and alerted us. Thanks to her the neighbors house only got minimal damage. They are very smart puppers!! ❤️🐕‍🦺🐶

I've owned GSDs all my adult life (that's over 50 years!). This video is so true (and so cute!). They are magnificent companions and worth every second of the hard work. But please do your research before buying your first GSD because they are not a dog to be taken on lightly.

I worked at a pet supplies store for many years & can 100% confirm the danger of their tails. We had one get excited about a treat & he knocked over a display of Beta fish. Thankfully the display only had one fish & I was using a wide mouth water bottle that day.

We had a retired German Shepherd that my Dad who was in the Air Force at the time brought home just before I was born. Bullet was a wonderful dog to put up with us kids. 🐶🐾 He was an excellent guard dog. When my Mother brought me home from the hospital, he gave me a good sniff. He was also a gentle dog. He loved to lick you. German Shepherds are the best.🐕🐾💕 They may drive you crazy from time to time, but what in life doesn't? 😵 I miss him.❤️😥

I have always loved your videos. Have had 8 GSD's in my lifetime and I would only disagree with one aspect of your video. GSD's that I have had the pleasure to share life with haven't been stubborn. Yes, you must be the leader of this pack animal. I have a Dutch Shepherd now picts. on my instagram to see. He is almost a year old. Now he is very smart, but boy he can be stubborn and independent. Still wants to be a lap dog though. Thanks for your videos. I love GSD's.

Your dogs are absolutely delightful; personally I've always preferred the long haired ( smaller ears more in proportion to the head I think), big boned variety but I love them all. In my humble opinion you haven't lived until you've had one or two or more as in your case. I just wouldn't have any other breeds despite some looking absolutely stunning; it's personal traits are what makes it rather unique. My 9 months old is my second one after an absence of 34 years; it makes me relive the past with very fond memories. I am living again & yes they are the very best friend a man can/woman can get. Kind regards.

Thanks for your vids! We miss our big old clunky meathead (Stewart). He was a black shepherd, and he was the sweetest, most loving beast ever! Unfortunately at about age 11 he developed a rare degenerative disease, and his connective tissues (ligaments and paws) literally began to break down, deteriorate, and dissolve - and then there was organ failure that followed. There was nothing that could be done, and we eventually had to let him go over the Rainbow Bridge. One of the saddest days of our lives. I still cry thinking about it (4 years later). We miss him terribly! But your videos help us remember what a wonderful beast he was!! Thanks!!

They are amazing dogs, but you definitely need to do your research before becoming the caregiver of a gsd. They are VERY smart, and like super bright kids, if not provided with mental and physical stimulation (puzzles, play dates, hikes, swims, and LOTS of fetch) they are (guaranteed) going to cause mischief and mayhem.

If your dogs are displaying some naughty behavior, that means u didn't teach them right in the first place. When they do something undesirable, u correct them right away, and keep on correcting until its no longer an issue. My GSD rides in the car without a peep out of him and knows to either be sitting or laying down, that's both when I'm driving, or out of the car for a few minutes. Only time he will bark, is when somebody comes over to my car. Trainers call this, "ABT". ALWAYS BE TRAINING!!

I have a silver sable GSD... all those examples are absolutely true! Sasha is spoiled rotten, and loves it, I make all her food and treats, and she loves it, and chimkin! She is so much a part of our lives that she is family... or, perhaps more correctly, we are part of her pack! I am Alpha female... well, guess that is up for conjecture, as who can truly know what is in the mind of a GSD? Frisbees are Sasha's thing, but balls are a close 2nd. She also loves bees!... to eat them. Somehow figured out how to snag them out of the air, not get stung, and, oh, the joy of honey snacks. One thing I have learned, GS need constant challenges, either physical or mental, or they get bored and go for an annoying distraction, usually meaning I have to clean up a mess. Love your videos!

100% agree with you. Only 1 thing... you think your issue with the shedding is bad, we have 2 GSD"s and they are both long hairs. The fur they shed is amazing. I've had a large plastic shopping bag that I use to collect the fur when brushing and we will fill 3 or 4 a year with solid fur. Some years ago I met some people who collected dog fur for spinning and used to make sweaters out of it. Wish I could find them now, could keep them supplied so easily.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣they are the best. Don't know why yours shed so much if you are feeding proper complete species appropriate raw diet. All mine shed 2x a year. Spring and fall. My intact females of course blow their coats about a month or so before they are going to come into season
Takes 15 mins two mornings in row during shed season to brush complete shedding out with double coat rakes. Thats all you need. Couple dogs sometimes 3 days in a row

Agreed BUT there lives get worse than any dog at age 11 and up as they soon start to have SERIOUS issues due to greedy breeders.Ive had many dogs but my shep killed me when he couldnt walk anymore at 12 and we did what we could do sadly he went down at 13 and I wont have another big dog at my age now its not in the cards. So I will rescue and train medium size and under-great video by the way =) Shep breeders frigged up royally after WW1 and no one can tell me a purebred is better than crossbred dog breeders are just ignorant greedy inhumane folks and will pay for it in HELL.
