Fab filming and such a lovely boat… but then we are fellow Moody 30 owners. Ours is a 1979 model birthed at Pwllheli in North Wales. At 43 she only a baby 😂. Please keep up the great work,…you’ve given me some ideas!
loved watching this!!! we have the same boat so its nice to see how different yours is. im so jealous of your gally set up that would be awesome on my boat
A lovley boat in excellent condition! I am most interested in your progress being new to sailing, and most definitely I am not an expert. I have a Moody 30 moored at Neyland Pembrookeshire that has scrubbed up nicely. Thus I am an about to take a soffly, softly approach to my new adventure in preparation for my retirement in about 5 years time. Please keep the videos coming.
Thank you Nikolaucz. She is a great boat. That’s a great idea and similar to ourselves.. gaining the experience each time we go out and pushing ourselves further and further each time. Finally some warmer weather is here which makes it all that much better. Thank you for watching.
Watching because Ryan and Sophie ( Polar Seal) mentioned good things about Moody (the company) . So stands to reason so goes a company’s reputation so goes the boat.
Love that kind of boat. I´m really looking forward to the inspection of a Moody 30 in Greece. What about the hight under deck? Im 180cm tall. I think there will be enough above the head? regards
Thank you, she is a great boat. The head height is not to bad down below just over 6 ft in the centre an a bit less towards the outer hull. I am 6ft 2in and can just stand fully in the middle but it’s really not to bad and like most boats you get used to ducking when you need to. Thank you for your comment and for watching.
Hi there, thank you! good question, with a clean hull she will do around 5-6kts at about 2500 rpm. We’ve got a 2 blade fixed prop so probably not the most economical but is plenty for the boat. She’s comfortable around 2400-2700 rpm. 👍 Currently she needs a clean so is doing around 4kts flat out at 3000 🤣
Nice boat thank you
Thank you for watching and your kind comment 👍

Thank you 🙏 I know that was a big selling point. It was adapted by one of the previous owners! I will certainly be checking out your videos very soon!

Nice boat. What’s the top speed under motor for this?
