Tshiknn that oil pattern is 52 feet long. There’s no room for throwing a hook or down and in shot. That’s an oil pattern you basically have to play straight down the middle of the lane.
Agreed, but that doesn't explain Ronnie playing off the left gutter......but obviously he felt it was his most effective line on that lane/pattern. Although in the end, he just appeared to be confused in this match.
There’s a ton of early hook in the heads in 15-25 zone where everyone has been beating up already since practice. There’s a couple of ways to get around that, lofting over it you see Tommy doing 94 moving even further left like you see Ronnie Russell do. You could also ball down to stay in the same zone without lofting, but on 52ft balling down could make it even more difficult to carry. Hence, you saw Ronnie staying with a strong ball and being that far left
