@@trippietoadie1296 I believe the only thing that got higher ratings than the Survivor Borneo finale or TAO first episode was the Superbowl that year. It was a pop culture phenomenon on a level I don't think any other reality show has touched since.
I remember when they woke the tribe up extra early in the morning so they can start filming and one of the contestants named mike stood next to the fire to warm up, and ended up falling alseep while standing. He immediately fell into the fire and burned both of his hands so bad that, they had to remove him from the show. He showed that his hands fully healed in the reunion show.
Wasn't he cooking and trying to get the fire going and he inhaled too much smoke and then lost consciousness? He caught a wild pig as well. He also got caught with CP.
That was Michael Supkin from season 2. He was on the blue tribe (the power house tribe I think 🤔), and inhale smoke while making some food for the tribe, and while Elizabeth and Alicia were at the green tribe they told Amber and Tina what happened to Michael.
@@lolabush2201 yeah we are pretty proud of him. To see someone you know that well elevated to a national platform is absolutely wild too lol. But yeah he's the same person you see on the show pretty much.
Back in 2000, a million was worth closer to twice as much as a million is now, and even if contestants didn't win, they still got paid thousands of dollars the longer they lasted. Runner ups even got up to $100,000. Someone of them probably earned more money by being on that show for a few weeks than they would earn working a whole year or two of their lives.
I quit watching Survivor...after Russell got screwed over twice when 2 bitter juries gave the million to 2 pathetic players...who did nothing but ride Russell's coattails to the end. Russell is probably the best Survivor player ever.....and got screwed the first 2 times he was on Survivor....and got eliminated early in this 3rd and last appearance on Survivor..when The Villains tribe foolishly voted him off....by the time The Villains and Heroes Tribes merged....The Heroes Tribe pretty much voted off all The Villains. If Russell was still with The Villains when the merge happened...it would have been a different ballgame.
It is a game about relationships and of course we get the social aspect to the game, it’s pretty key. But when they gave it to the blonde chick over him out of spite, that’s where I was out too. Found the Challenge (good after season 28 or 29 lol it’s just as old as Survivor) and haven’t looked back, love the actual competitiveness in it.

Russell wasn't just a conniving player, he lost because almost everyone says he was just a legitimately nasty person. He had no sense of hygiene, he destroyed survival items around the camp, he had a major egotistical attitude to almost everybody, even his allies, and he was flat out paranoid and crazy. He even called out his own nephew on live TV because he "ruined the Hantz legacy" and had him crying at one of the reunions. Survivor's game is about earning the respect of the people in the game, and it doesn't matter how many people they vote out or challenges they win, if they give no respect, they deserve none in return.
It was due to the COVID-19 safety procedures. For seasons 41 and 42, and I thought they were go back to 39 days after that but they stuck with 26 days, and I don't like it.
This video was a waste of time. I was waiting for drama or something that happened that people didn’t see on TV… but everyone who has seen the show knows what to expect.
this was terrible. I was hoping for a expose or tell all. Notaa faux documentary. This was the beginning of fake reality. Vice should have documented it that way. But production company would have sued so then just dont do this video. Such a waste. What is Vice anymore?
