Although I understand the rationale for pulling out those beautiful annuals and cutting those hydrangeas, it was still ‘painful’ to watch ! What teamwork and beautiful videography with those drone shots ! ❤️🇨🇦

I smiled through through this whole video. It's always bittersweet to say good to our summer gardens. However, they've done their jobs well and they deserve their rest. Thanks for taking us along for this wonderful joy ride on this beautiful island!

Crossroads Cottage by far is my favorite cottage....its my dream house all the way down to the color....I would never be able to own a house like Crossroads but I pray that if we have houses in heaven mine looks like this beauty. Jack never under estimate the power and endurance of a woman 💪 😃 🙂 😊 God bless you and your wonderful hardworking team.

I love your statement … the garden is a beautiful teacher teacher. I understand what you mean. We get so much in as a person . I have a small manicured garden . I get so
Much joy and peace in a ring for my topiaries. Jose from Melbourne Australia.

As boaters we look up from the harbor at The island House, Brigadoon and these gardens are always stunning.
The “cottages” and the spectacular gardens are two of the things I love the most about MI. I am so happy to have found you, Jack, and watch each video you create with awe. It always takes me back to a place we love, Magical Mackinac.
This fall clean up video at Island House, and your prior ones at Brigadoon, has me very much looking forward to springtime to witness the tulips, crocus, hydrangea and ALL your beautiful garden glory.
See you in the Spring 🌸 🌺

It's really quite satisfying and what gardening is all about - planning & hoping for the next season. And YES the auger - a game changer for sure !!!! Thanks for sharing your day with us - you are an inspiration for sure !!!

Fun to watch video of people having fun on the job. Great working conditions though it's always hard to see those gorgeous annuals go. Every year I vow to get that chore done early but just can't force myself to pull the annuals till they are a sorry mess. I want to enjoy them as long as possible before our winter blanket covers everything.

That’s a tough one! I’ve been there Spring, Summer and Autumn. All the seasons have their benefits. Spring is great because you see everything beginning to wake up, including the Islanders 😉. Also, pre-tourists it’s not crazy crowded and seems more like real-life. Summer is stunning and there’s a lot of fun to be had. Autumn is very well done on the island. Lots of beauty and a fun last chance sort of vibe. Far fewer people, lots of sales in the stores getting ready to shut down, and the Islanders come out and mingle with the visitors. The Island House has fantastic decoration on the outside. You’ve got to see that! 🕸🕷
