The word you type into the typewriter in the library, Saeculum, it means forever, or a lifetime, that piece of knowledge, matched with the music, it feels amazing but somber, just imagine how long he was waiting, how long it took him to make all the tests, he really was there for a saeculum, a lifetime
Just finished the game. Wow! I played all the Myst games and Riven when they came out. This is right up there with them. Just an amazing job! Some of the puzzles were a tad bit hard without finding clues on solutions and just having to go through many combinations. I gave up and had to use a walkthrough sometimes. I hate doing that. But great game and great music!
Great soundtrack and game, I expected this to be another 3-4 hour game but I've spent days on this which was awesome. Really liked the integration of objects of older puzzles into later ones.
Очень хорошая работа. Было пройдено несколько раз, прослушано несколько сотен раз. Игра задает особенную атмосферу а ост ей в этом очень сильно помогает, идеальный вариант для рефлексии, спасибо.
I know, it's so beautiful just with the music and the area, and the word you find from looking at the notes saeculum (one of the last puzzles) me and my dad looked it up and it means the lifetime of a person, or forever, so much deeper when you know that
This is probably my all time favorite soundtrack, The Library and The Gateway in particular, they both bring me right back to when I was first playing through the game, all the emotions I felt when I had worked for days on this game, solving everything, learning about this world, and finally making it to the end. Hearing the soft version of the main theme in The Gateway, every time I hear it I have to stop whatever I'm doing and just remember what it was like, finally finishing this wonderful game.
Me and my dad have thought of some ideas that would make cool second games, one was the journey through all the other worlds as the 3 were searching for Quern
1:20:49 I have a very active imagination, and am constantly creating worlds and places, so here's the one inspired by this song. Hidden in the ground underneath an elven kingdom are beautiful ice caves, the ice dweller elves live in these stunning caves in white quartz castles, the walls and pillars of the cave are all skillfully carved to have statues of majestic creatures. The light projected from the rare tunnels to the world above are bounced around on the ice mirrors for years to stay.
This game deserves more recognition, excellent puzzle game from start to finish.
When I finally got to the library and read the last note, I almost shed a tear and stayed there, just listening to the music. What a masterpiece!
Kinda reminds me of the Moonlight sonata's 1st mvt.
Me too
The library music is Kreygasm
So much this, I just can agree
Through the first time it played through, I didn't touch anything in the library, for I didn't want the music to stop. Truly an incredible experience.

Never thought I'd be listening to a video game soundtrack just for sake of the music. Beautiful game, beautiful music.
A great MYST style game, if you enjoy puzzles, you'll like Quern. Wonderful music.
I loved playing The Room series. I ran into Quern a while back, and I'm patently waiting for them to make Quern 2.
They just announced their next game :)
It's NOT a sequel to Quern, JSYK.
The music grew on me through the game: from good to spectacular.

One of the best (puzzle) games ever made!
Chapeau to the creaters!
one of the best games I've ever played! The soundtrack is awesome!!!!! THANK YOU!
Сыграйте еще в The Talos Principle если не играли. Это шедевр
@@grozaGolubei спасибо огромное! Обязательно!
I enjoyed this soundtrack a lot while playing Quern. Thank you Mr. Kerepesi. :)
Delayed Thoughts...... Fantastic!
I just finished playing this... damn it was so good!!
Try Myst (Uru: The Complete Chronicles).
Great soundtrack and game, I expected this to be another 3-4 hour game but I've spent days on this which was awesome. Really liked the integration of objects of older puzzles into later ones.
A stunning soundtrack for an excellent videogame. Love you Quern, I strongly believe in a sequel!
This is one of those games that I have to come back and play through at least once every year. 🙏
Oh, amazing! I downloaded the old OST and listen to it while working.

i like how "trapped" is a 5 minute song that only plays for like 5 seconds bc of how easy it is to get out
When do you get trapped?
@@DavidRay_40 That cave with a battery on a pressure plate, that you eventually replace with some other battery-like object.
Absolutely beautiful. And I have not played such an amazing game since Myst 4.
Myst! A masterpiece too. My best is Uru:Complete Chronicles...for the music and the game.
I've only played the first 3 Myst games, but soon I plan to start playing through 4
I agree
The music and atmosphere in this game were so good imo. The library music... I just sat there and listened. Didn't want to leave.

We need quern 2.
Yes, you're so right!
A masterpiece -- beautiful! :)
Epic game with epic music.
Amazing! A tour de force of a soundtrack, and such a great game. Spotify soundtrack when though? I want to listen to this on my walks!
Me and my dad have thought of some ideas that would make cool second games, one was the journey through all the other worlds as the 3 were searching for Quern
Beautiful OST! Writing my thesys while listening to it.
Loved it!
Very talented artist. The Library would be perfect in Games of Thrones. Make me think of Light of the Seven
Never played this one, but this first track goes hard as fuck
It's like Myst(Uru)
I LOVE YOU QUERN

1:15:25 - It sounds like the start of Nothing Else Matters :D
It does
Especially the Harp Twins version.
For a moment, I misread the title as Queen.
9gag brought me here
