Florida Mini Loop Boat Trip - Departure?

- The day has arrived for our departure on our Florida Mini Loop boat trip from Cape Coral Florida to The Keys.
We’ve prepped, provisioned and prepared our 341 Meridian for the trip of a lifetime. But will we be able to do it? Weather, rain and storms have ravaged Florida this week. Should we stay or should we go now?
I love the daily updates! We did this same trip when we picked up our Nor-tech at the factory in 2016, Loggerhead key was our favorite. Now we're living onboard full time on our sailing catamaran, currently in Curacao. BTW, we saw a Meridian 341 in the marina here is Spanish Water Curacao the other day.

My wife and I did the florida loop in april of 2022 from miami going north to Stuart then east to west by lake okeechobe and finally to key west and back to miami. The only place we didn't like was marco island. Enjoy your trip and be safe capt.

I saw a boat in Marathon today named Happy Ours. I had to do a double take.
It’s a pretty common boat name. Lol
I have a Mantus chain hook for my anchor chain, it fits really nicely although perhaps isn't the easiest device to attach especially if the boat is bobbing up and down.

The galley cabinet between the fridge and the pantry, did that used to be a slide out? Our 2008 341 slides out and seeing yours looks like it offers more room.
Ours was always like this but I have heard from friends say what you have
It was some sort of hanging locker when we bought it. We Just made shelves but a slide out sounds useful!

How did you guys justify gasoline over diesel?
I prefer diesel over gas for the economy, but at times it could be hard to find
That’s what the boat came with. I know gas engines well, but would prefer diesel if we had a choice. Maybe the next boat.
How long is your trip?
It’s at least 600 miles. To the keys and back. Around the tip of florida.
