The dips he shows, while effective, put your shoulder in a awkward internal rotation, which can lead to tendon injuries later down the line, especially with so many reps. The other exercises are good though I would also suggest adding a back workout too to prevent muscle imbalances. Stay safe and healthy y’all.

This is for you weight lifting guys... Calisthenics are very beneficial. One of the best benefits is strength. Once you master calisthenics then you can include you weights. You will see the difference on how much more you will be lifting. Or you can just continue with calisthenics... Nothing wrong with that believe me...either way you will love the results if you stick with it...
I've always been a hard gainer, and I've done only calisthenics for a long time with no progress except for strength and endurance. I've gained a lot more muscle mass since I started weightlifting. I still integrate push-ups and pullups in my program, but calisthenics alone isn't ideal to gain mass. For example : you can't isolate the biceps, traps and shoulders are a pain to do bc you need to have your head upside down, your pecs will basically never grow if you don't weigh much. Your forearms won't grow much either. The longhead of the tricep will be super hard to isolate, your legs also won't grow easily. Training the neck will be dangerous for your spine. And progressive overload will be super complicated, making you try multiple variations instead of simply adding more weight. Which is why weights are a no brainer for me now, I've lost enough time with calisthenics.
@@SpookyRumi Then explain Olympic gymnast? Especially ring specialist. A lot of these guys have stated they do not weight lift, yet they have bigger biceps and shoulders than some enhanced lifters. You can build solid muscle with calisthenics, it just takes a long time.
Yup I get best results initially from putting in those push ups and sit ups a few squats . Do that for 3 weeks, if your not a active person it's a great way to see results fast encouraging you to go further .
@@AClaiderman They train all day everyday. Handstand push-ups will give you big shoulders, which is what gymnasts like to do, but not everyone likes having blood rushing to their head everytime they want to train upper body. Bicep stimulation is possible with australian pullups variations, but it's still a lot less effective than good old bicep curls. Also a ton of olympic athletes take roids, they just don't get busted. My whole argument is that working out with only calisthenics is very time consuming, applying progressive overload gets very complicated, and is overall a lot less effective than weightlifting if what you're looking for is hypertrophy. Olympic gymnasts train 6-10 hours everyday their whole life and have the body that someone natty who weightlifts 2 hours a day 4-5 times a week will get in 2-3 years.
I believe the actual routine was almost double this. I actually tried to reach the 2000 squats but only made it to 1,100. Knees trembling by the 800s and my knees hurt for 3 days afterwards. Spine was in pain as well.

I don't know why anybody would do this in the first place. It consumes way too much time, fucks with the joints and there's no way anybody would recover from this (if it's a routine you would probably do it everyday so yeah) without some little extra help if you know what I mean. I’m not sure there is science to back this up. Half reps still facilitate muscle contraction of the target area. “Full” reps do nothing more than put your joints at risk and “maybe” work more towards cardiovascular endurance.

Wow. No wonder why Tyson was a beast
@Balls and balls Mike Tyson did this in sets of 50 through out the day, he didn’t do all of that in 1 workout session.
This feels like ranking up my guns in Warzone by playing Shipment rather than just playing the game normally and workout 5 times a week
