I would say that it doesn't make any sense to move to Canada unless you have it so bad in India or wherever you are. Case, I've seen people who worked in India as insurance agents etc move to Canada making a good life of it. That's a good move.
But guys with good education background and job experience should not be coming to Canada looking for a better option. In my friends case he had degree from a top 10 reputed college in India, and worked in one of the larger Canadian companies (took him 7 months to get the job - mid senior role) for close to 2.5 years. Cons - lower pay (compared to US), higher tax, super high living expenses, general uncertainty in job market making job switches difficult. He is now back to where he started and is quite happy to not continue in Canada.
Same here, I've been here 8 years.
Even with Canadian experience, nobody is considering. There are millions of qualified candidates available and very few companies. I have not faced such competition even in India.
For IT jobs, US is the best
@@maharajamac I'm not in IT. There are several other industries where Indians work in Canada.
I never understand why people go there. There are only very few companies operating out of canada. And nothing in IT or engineering
What I do not understand is why people are still coming to Canada as a student paying $10000/sem. The situation is worse than India. And How would they payback their loans after the course. Thousands are jobless even with open work permit. And there are hundreds of thousands came on visiting visa who working for cash. Then who would hire a student. And the canadian economy is in the worst condition right now

The job market is tough. For example, my wife knows someone from a Levis’ store who hasn't found a job in her field for three years. Also, more people are moving to Ontario than to other provinces. Our government's poor immigration policy has caused damage that will take years to fix.

Now days it is difficult to get jobs in Canada and UK because the number of people migrated is more than before. Even there is no job security. Definitely people migrated to these countries are struggling. The best to make money is GCC. here it ia very difficult and due to inflation very thing is priced and salary is not increased. Even salary is increased it will go as tax. Western countries are not a type what we expect.
In Saudi Arabia the direction of job hunting is same but almost same problems are faced. The competition with Pakistanis, Filipinos, Telenganans and Biharis are also there.
