The book was in a geek fuel I believe not too long ago. I am also glad I didn't sub to this one. I love stan lee but I just feel this didn't meet the value price point.
I'm the same way. Love Stan Lee, he's an icon, but the products just didn't do anything for me. Q-figs aren't terrible, but if I wanted a basic Captain America Q-fig I'd just go on Amazon and get one. If they're going to give a Q-fig then I'd want it to be an exclusive one that you could ONLY get from the box. Make people have a reason to buy a box where you can only get special items from there instead of anywhere. Plus...I just don't think the price was worth it. Some of those things could go on sale for a fraction of the price (i.e. graphic novel and the book).

Definitely watch the nerd block unboxing before purchase. Just because it's mostly exclusive doesn't mean it wasn't incredibly disappointing.

I saw the advertisements for the Stan Lee box, but decided to hold off. Glad I did, it just seemed a little lack luster for me.

I'm glad I passed on this box. I was getting ready to get it but I just didn't want t spend the money right now. I agree that all items except the comics & print can be found elsewhere. Hopefully their future boxes get exclusive figures.
Troy Abdi I agree. I really love the rock candy line and even the qfigs. I think the characters look more realistic.
I bought the nerdblock one only because that was the first one I saw. Im looking into getting this one after the new year

I personally really love their Rock Candy line and would love it if they made more! I like their designs more than funko pops and have always been more inclined to collect female character figures anyway.
I agree with your thoughts on the box overall though, very underwhelming.
i read somewhere the people who sub'd for the year got a limited edition gentle giant figure either Iron Man or Captain America

I don't think the box is worth the money, but I only pay for the DegustaBox so I'm not the audience for it.
An autograph would have been cool. If I recall he was charging about $90 for a signature this year. Maybe it will be the gift for signing up for 1 year. He is a sharp cookie for his age (or my expectations).

I was really wanting this box, but the price was soooo out of my range. I know you want your box to be worth $15 - $20 more than what you pay.... but they advertised it would be $100+ value.... And considering that value was around $75, I feel like it was totally not worth it..... Thank you for taking that bullet for me... I owe you +Nerdy Newb!!

I'm so happy I didn't buy this crate! As you say you can get anything online, I tought it was everything exclusive, I got that superior spiderman book, which means its not exclusive, and they said it was 100% exclusive.
I did order this but luckily cancelled it. It's awful. I thought it would be exclusive stuff or more things you can't buy. Thanks for uploading.

The book was in Geek Fuel sometime in the last year. I can't remember the month.
I agree with the overall assessment; the value doesn't seem to be there (conceding value is subjective until the items start flooding eBay). While I enjoyed the two Stan Lee items (HC memoir GN and print), there seemed to be nothing special in this inaugural box, no tee, no exclusives, nothing signed, not even a #1 comic.
I purchased both the annual subscription and a single bi-annual box. The advertising was a bit deceptive, as there was no additional action figure for the annual purchase. Both boxes were exactly the same, i.e all the same figures (the Cap and Ms Marvel) no Iron Man, Deadpool, or Thanos. Overall, I felt this was a pretty average mystery box. Hopefully, later iterations will be a bit more robust than a typical Nerd Block or Loot Crate (without a shirt, this offering was probably worth a bit less than those basic competitors).

I think the box kinda lacks. I am Canadian so to pay aprox $75 CAD for that box is a bit much. FYI the Champions comics are available on newsstand and in subscriptions. The only one that is cool is the black and white cover as the subscriptions release did not have a black and white variant. But it does look like people are willing to pay 20-25$ for both just to get the black and white. Now if the box contained the Arthur Adams variant that would be so sweet.

What do you mean the value of rock candies just isn't there? They retail for $11 and on Amazon most of them cost around $11. That doesn't seem like bad value to me. Often times when common POPS come out you can find them for $7 or $8 on Amazon. Is that bad value to you? Remember what happened with dorbz, so many people hated them at first and then now they are Funko's second best selling products and are nominated for the Toy Of The Year award for best collectible right alongside POPs. My guess is that you are just sour about them because of the gamestop boxes and enchantress.
+Jacob Cohen I probably am a little sour lol.. when I say the value isn't there, my expectation, mainly with a box like this (it's freaking Stan Lee) is that we are going to get exclusive items. I don't want an $11 rock candy figure that I can get on Amazon. Unfortunately, rock candys aren't like dorbz or pops because most of them just go for the $11 price point. They need to do better at marketing these in a way to gain more interest. If you put an exclusive rock candy in this box that isn't available on Amazon, you're creating a want/need for the product. I've always liked dorbz so I'm excited that they're doing well... hikaris on the other hand 😬

It's a autobiography of Stan Lee's life and you probably got it in a geek fuel box that's where I got mine
this box is really nice it's alittle bit expensive but for the first box then yeah, I'll give this box 7.5/10

Not at all a good start for these stan lee boxes. These cost over 300 per year. The funko subscription boxes rival this for 208 dollars per year after shipping and tax. And this isn't even all exclusives so wtf?
Kind of a disappointing start for this box, but it's only the first one - hopefully it'll get better. More exclusive items would have been cool.

Yeah, it was disappointing that there wasn't anything really unique or special. This seems more like a generic box than a something by Stan Lee.
I guess I would expect something pretty amazing from Stan Lee himself so it's a pretty big let down to me.
Personally I stopped getting all these monthly sub boxes ( loot crate , loot gaming , nerd block , horror block , I tried them all ) because I came to the conclusion that all you get each month is a bunch of junk filler and 1 good item that's it . Check out any of the unboxings and you will see the usual 1-2 pops to fill up the box , a shirt , some cheap fillers and a comic .... it gets old and tiring very fast ... I am now on to Tokyo Treat and am very pleased to actually pay money every month and have a box shipped to me with edible items that I actually use and enjoy . I throw nothing out and nothing goes to waste ... seriously guys quit buying all these sub boxes that scam you of your money and give you boxes of garbage and try out Tokyo Treat !

I paid £7 for the Rock Candy. Neither of the figures are exclusives. The only things i'd have enjoyed was the Spider-Man graphic novel and the stan Lee print. Not worth the money at all never mind $125 :(

That is a very dissapointing box for the value. not even $125 for sure, not that much higher than $58.
Hardly any exclusives - the nerdblock box is official, stan lee did a video for it and personally selected everything. 10 items including a tee and ring. it was the same price as this too.
for premium boxes you need all exclusive. Personally i think you should get the value they state, no less.
Your pricing is not rigth! I love Your videos and you are an awsome person, but a lot of pepole watch these videos and they get the wrong impression of the box with your bad pricing. I know that the pricing is just for you but it can really ruin things for these companies. This was just helpful criticism, I think you're awesome!

To me I feel that these boxes are a rip off with what they sent you. Not worth the subscriptions.

Hey steph I found a subscription box you might be interested in, it's a pokémon box in theory, basically they send you pokémon card packs and other pokémon related items (like cases to hold the cards in, bracelets, keychains, ect.) for 30 dollars a month. Saw another youtuber I like unbox it and thought you might like it.

Technically it's going to be a new box but a UA-camr I watched was promoting it, so I guess there's not a lot of videos on UA-cam of it, but it still seems like a cool box to me.
For me that box was not worth it.

For a $60 box you sure as hell should get more exclusive items then 2 comic covers. For the first box it should have had a real WOW factor. I defiantly give this a big thumbs down.
