Well these are very nicely manufactured standard hex sockets. Koken also offeres sockets in a “Surface Drive” design which would be comparable to flank drive if you want that.
These came from Koken USA, but I’ve gotten tools from many different places, Japanese companies themselves, Japanese distributors, Amazon Japan is a great place to get many Japanese tools, and there are some places in the US that I have ordered from. It just depends on the tool I want and where I can source it from.
Hey Brando I'm in the market in upgrading my sockets and I'm torn between koken and nepros I will be buying sae and metric full sets any insight would be appreciated I'm leaning towards koken but if nepros is superior I'm willing to pay for quality.
Ko-Ken’s quality to price value is hard to beat. I love my Nepros socketry, they’re great quality, the chrome is amazing, and I don’t regret buying them, but when I need any new sockets I buy Ko-Ken. I still use Nepros ratchets and other accessories everyday, and will continue to buy more, but for sockets you just can’t beat Ko-Ken!
I got the catalog from Koken USA. They have a $0.00 listing for it that I just added to my cart when I got the sockets. I can’t wait for the 72 tooth ratchets too! I hope the 1/4” and the 1/2” drives come out at the same time
KokenUSA also announced that there will be a quick release version of the 1/4 inch variant around the same time. Really looking forward to those. I hope that will be the case for the 1/2" 72t too
I think you do an extremely well job at showcasing tools. Wish you would post more videos of any tools honestly! Keep up the good work! 👍
Thanks brother, I’ll try to get more videos out!
Hello again Brando Damo
Thank you for another Great Video. That's a nice tool haul. Again thank you
More to come! Thanks!
How do these sockets compare to snap on flank drive sockets?

I think Koken did a limited run of Zeal sockets in SAE. Call Koken USA to ask. I hope there's enough sales to make it a permanent offering.
I know they did a limited run of SAE nutgrip 1/4” sockets, but I never heard anything about a SAE Zeal run. That would be pretty neat though
I want a koken catalog. How i get? I cant wait for 72 1/4 ratchets
