I love these songs, love hearing God’s word. Just have a question about verse 20, why say “He keeps all their bones: none of them shall be broken”. KJV says “ He keeps all HIS bones: none of them is broken”. This is a prophesy about Jesus when He is on the cross, none of His bones were broken. Keep on making beautiful worship songs!

*...."In the world ye shall have tribulation,"* says Christ; *but in Me ye shall have peace.* (John 16:33) The trials to which Christians are subjected in sorrow, adversity, and reproach are the means appointed of God to separate the chaff from the wheat. Our pride, selfishness, evil passions, and love of worldly pleasure must all be overcome; therefore God sends us afflictions to test and prove us, and show us that these evils exist in our characters. We must overcome through His strength and grace, that we may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. *"For our light affliction,"* says Paul, *"which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal."* (2 Corinthians 4:17-18) Afflictions, crosses, temptations, adversity, and our varied trials are God's workmen to refine us, sanctify us, and fit us for the heavenly garner.
*...."Blessed are the meek."* The difficulties we have to encounter may be very much lessened by that meekness which hides itself in Christ. If we possess the humility of our Master, we shall rise above the slights, the rebuffs, the annoyances, to which we are daily exposed, and they will cease to cast a gloom over the spirit. *The highest evidence of nobility in a Christian is self-control. He who under abuse or cruelty fails to maintain a calm and trustful spirit robs God of His right to reveal in him His own perfection of character.* Lowliness of heart is the strength that gives victory to the followers of Christ; it is the token of their connection with the courts above. -DA 301.1 *"Though the Lord be high, yet hath He respect unto the lowly."* Psalm 138:6. Those who reveal the meek and lowly spirit of Christ are tenderly regarded by God. They may be looked upon with scorn by the world, but they are of great value in His sight. Not only the wise, the great, the beneficent, will gain a passport to the heavenly courts; not only the busy worker, full of zeal and restless activity. No; the poor in spirit, who crave the presence of an abiding Christ, the humble in heart, whose highest ambition is to do God's will,-these will gain an abundant entrance. They will be among that number who have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. *"Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple: and He that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them."* Revelation 7:15. -DA 301.2 *"Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness."* The sense of unworthiness will lead the heart to hunger and thirst for righteousness, and this desire will not be disappointed. Those who make room in their hearts for Jesus will realize His love. All who long to bear the likeness of the character of God shall be satisfied. The Holy Spirit never leaves unassisted the soul who is looking unto Jesus. He takes of the things of Christ and shows them unto him. If the eye is kept fixed on Christ, the work of the Spirit ceases not until the soul is conformed to His image. The pure element of love will expand the soul, giving it a capacity for higher attainments, for increased knowledge of heavenly things, so that it will not rest short of the fullness. *"Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness; for they shall be filled."* -Matthew 5:6 -DA 302.3

First, I'm so thankful people like you are taking the Psalms and putting them to music. And, the melody of this one is beautiful. Wanting to listen to more Christian songs that truly glorify God rather than those which put the focus on us or other things like us, I was again listening to your songs last night. But, as I listened to this song it struck me, as much as I love the melody, that 2 little words added into your song completely changed the meaning of the Psalm ... "to me". The scripture actually says,m in Psalm 34:8 (NKJV) "Oh, taste and see that the LORD [is] good; Blessed [is] the man [who] trusts in Him!" David did not add to "the LORD is good" the words "to me." No ... for the LORD IS good. Not because He is good to me -- HE IS good. And, we should trust Him and know that He is good whether or not we feel He is good to us. Anyway, to keep the melody and lose the added little words?
Thank you for your kind words! I disagree with you that it "completely changes" the meaning of the Psalm. Is it true that the LORD is good to you and me? In fact, Psalm 145 says that He is "good to all." Psalm 13:6 says "I will sing to the LORD, for He has been good TO ME." Is David singing this Psalm about the LORD's goodness in general, with no regard at all for how the LORD has been good to him? Hardly. He also gives a personal testimony in this Psalm about what the LORD did for him, and how the LORD was good to him in his individual plight. "I cried to the LORD and he answered ME, and delivered ME from all my fears." While I agree that the words "to me" are not in Psalm 34:8, the song does use the phrase "He is good" in isolation, as well as adding the idea that He is good to me, individually, which is true, and certainly something David is rejoicing over in the Psalm. If you want to criticize the song for adding a true, theologically correct and beautiful truth to the end of the chorus, that is fine. But to say it completely changes the meaning of the Psalm, or that it puts the focus on "self" rather than God's goodness, is simply not true.

*Psalm 34*
¹ I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
² My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.
³ O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.
⁴ I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.
⁵ They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.
⁶ This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.
⁷ The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.
⁸ O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
⁹ O fear the Lord, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.
¹⁰ The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing.
¹¹ Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the Lord.
¹² What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good?
¹³ Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.
¹⁴ Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.
¹⁵ The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.
¹⁶ The face of the Lord is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.
¹⁷ The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.
¹⁸ The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
¹⁹ Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.
²⁰ He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.
²¹ Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate.
²² The Lord redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.

Wonderful way to praise the Lord and Meditate on the word
*...."In the world ye shall have tribulation,"* says Christ; *but in Me ye shall have peace.* (John 16:33) The trials to which Christians are subjected in sorrow, adversity, and reproach are the means appointed of God to separate the chaff from the wheat. Our pride, selfishness, evil passions, and love of worldly pleasure must all be overcome; therefore God sends us afflictions to test and prove us, and show us that these evils exist in our characters. We must overcome through His strength and grace, that we may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. *"For our light affliction,"* says Paul, *"which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal."* (2 Corinthians 4:17-18) Afflictions, crosses, temptations, adversity, and our varied trials are God's workmen to refine us, sanctify us, and fit us for the heavenly garner.
*...."Blessed are the meek."* The difficulties we have to encounter may be very much lessened by that meekness which hides itself in Christ. If we possess the humility of our Master, we shall rise above the slights, the rebuffs, the annoyances, to which we are daily exposed, and they will cease to cast a gloom over the spirit. *The highest evidence of nobility in a Christian is self-control. He who under abuse or cruelty fails to maintain a calm and trustful spirit robs God of His right to reveal in him His own perfection of character.* Lowliness of heart is the strength that gives victory to the followers of Christ; it is the token of their connection with the courts above.

*"Though the Lord be high, yet hath He respect unto the lowly."* Psalm 138:6. Those who reveal the meek and lowly spirit of Christ are tenderly regarded by God. They may be looked upon with scorn by the world, but they are of great value in His sight. Not only the wise, the great, the beneficent, will gain a passport to the heavenly courts; not only the busy worker, full of zeal and restless activity. No; the poor in spirit, who crave the presence of an abiding Christ, the humble in heart, whose highest ambition is to do God's will,-these will gain an abundant entrance. They will be among that number who have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. *"Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple: and He that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them."* Revelation 7:15.

*"Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness."* The sense of unworthiness will lead the heart to hunger and thirst for righteousness, and this desire will not be disappointed. Those who make room in their hearts for Jesus will realize His love. All who long to bear the likeness of the character of God shall be satisfied. The Holy Spirit never leaves unassisted the soul who is looking unto Jesus. He takes of the things of Christ and shows them unto him. If the eye is kept fixed on Christ, the work of the Spirit ceases not until the soul is conformed to His image. The pure element of love will expand the soul, giving it a capacity for higher attainments, for increased knowledge of heavenly things, so that it will not rest short of the fullness. *"Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness; for they shall be filled."* -Matthew 5:6

First, I'm so thankful people like you are taking the Psalms and putting them to music. And, the melody of this one is beautiful. Wanting to listen to more Christian songs that truly glorify God rather than those which put the focus on us or other things like us, I was again listening to your songs last night. But, as I listened to this song it struck me, as much as I love the melody, that 2 little words added into your song completely changed the meaning of the Psalm ... "to me". The scripture actually says,m in Psalm 34:8 (NKJV) "Oh, taste and see that the LORD [is] good; Blessed [is] the man [who] trusts in Him!" David did not add to "the LORD is good" the words "to me." No ... for the LORD IS good. Not because He is good to me -- HE IS good. And, we should trust Him and know that He is good whether or not we feel He is good to us.
Anyway, to keep the melody and lose the added little words?
Thank you for your kind words! I disagree with you that it "completely changes" the meaning of the Psalm. Is it true that the LORD is good to you and me? In fact, Psalm 145 says that He is "good to all." Psalm 13:6 says "I will sing to the LORD, for He has been good TO ME." Is David singing this Psalm about the LORD's goodness in general, with no regard at all for how the LORD has been good to him? Hardly. He also gives a personal testimony in this Psalm about what the LORD did for him, and how the LORD was good to him in his individual plight. "I cried to the LORD and he answered ME, and delivered ME from all my fears." While I agree that the words "to me" are not in Psalm 34:8, the song does use the phrase "He is good" in isolation, as well as adding the idea that He is good to me, individually, which is true, and certainly something David is rejoicing over in the Psalm. If you want to criticize the song for adding a true, theologically correct and beautiful truth to the end of the chorus, that is fine. But to say it completely changes the meaning of the Psalm, or that it puts the focus on "self" rather than God's goodness, is simply not true.
