It’s a little sad that he wasn’t able to reach his full potential, he was my favorite player in the NBA at one point, but I guess it speaks to the fact that success requires more than talent alone- I wish him all the best nonetheless, he was fun to root for early on

I watched him get shut down in Cameron by a sophmore...and he looked bad in the McDonald's game. True, he's better than 95% of players in High School, but when he plays with the top 5% he just blends in. I just don't see it...but I will say at Cameron he didn't miss a shot in warm-ups.

nobody's comparing OJ to the young men and women in iraq...but this is a basketball video and oj threw the ball to his dad so his dad could keep it plus he just wanted everyone in that gym to have a great time and see the "show" one last time and from what ive heard he accomplished that

@j5skates I've met oj a couple of times when he was playing at usc. he's a really smart kid and a classy person. he got a little over-excited because this was the last game which marks the end of his spectacular high school career. are you saying that you are just so calm and cool and never make mistakes? unless you carried yourself with the class of Ghandi or Dalai Lama your entire life, think twice before you call someone else classless. OJ was 18, give him a break.

Okay I believe he is a little to cocky to survive with this attitude. The question is the kid coachable that is the main thing. Kids change all the time with the right guidance. I predict a gigantic piece of humble pie for Mr. Mayo starting next year if he doesn't except guidance.

It's too bad Tim Floyd is in denial about the character of this guy. Hopefully Mayo won't damage the USC hoops program too badly. And if he doesn't end up in jail before he make it the league I hope he at least gets drafted by the Kings so he and Ron-Ron can make fools of themselves together.

  • @tweedt72

the twolves needed a center badly. thats why they traded him for kevin love. only time will tell if it works or not. right now mayo is playing way better than love. and the roy for foye trade isnt working out to well either. foye is good, but roy is kickin ass
