Tu B'Shevat Seder in Jerusalem 🌲 I'm feeling this full moon energy! 🌝 🙌

I had a fun evening going to a tu b'shevat seder in Jerusalem, hosted by ‪@Yiboneh‬- one of my favorite YT channels, if you haven't checked it out, and led by Rabbi Yitzchak Breitowitz, one of my favorite rabbis, if you haven't checked him out! The idea of this day as a Jewish "arbor day" never really resonated with me, but I'm all about the mystical implications and was very excited to learn that Tu B'Shevat marks the day that we begin to benefit from the "geshem" of this year...meaning that whatever Divine blessings were signed and sealed at the end of Sukkot are NOW in effect, nourishing us to grow. Up until today, we were nourished by the "geshem" of 5783, so we can say goodbye to old energy today and welcome the new. 🤗
I'm excited for what's to come and happy to celebrate another beautiful day in Eretz Yisrael. 🥰 Thank You, Hashem.

Yes. I agree. I am alone as well and going to anything alone I have those same thoughts about it being awkward. I usually don't go to many events because of this.

I'm happy to hear it was meaningful and enjoyable :) And maybe it will help if you try to think of it more as "going to visit family" rather than going by yourself - every Jew in the world is your sibling, after all! Okay, maybe some of us are more like aunties/uncles/grandmas/grandpas, but the point remains haha!
