Aaron needs to start his own youtube travel channel. For the limited time he has been there he has a lot of information and articulated it well. Seems like he did his research before coming to Turkey and he has the right personality and temperament for world travel.
I mentioned that to him, but he doesn't want the hassle. Is not his thing. He also had limited time , so he needed to be on point with his time and travels. He knew what he wanted to see and do ,he chose to travel vs needing to travel, HA..... is a big difference.
Glad to see you found some English speaking friends close it helps to be able to do the interviews. English is definitely not a strong second language for most Turks unless they are in the tourism business. As far as the weather if you travel down south to Izmir or Bodrum which I recommend, your in Oregon weather in Istanbul longitudinally and Bodrum would be California weather. Anyway, love the vlogs and thanks for showing people the beauty of Turkiye.
Thanks DbCoop...Wow it changes that much temp wise..interesting. Will be headed to Izmir next month.. Look forward to that warmer area for sure. It is my pleasure, thanks for watching and being so supportive!
Is funny cause everyone seems to say something different as to where I could have come from lol. Slavic is a new one to me...Someone said Palestinian the other day even Arabic...Have had Spanish....and a long list ha!
@@HeyVernTravels So true. I would say you have a generic middle eastern look which encompasses a wide swath of countries. I wouldn't be surprised if the people in Istanbul think you're Turkish - it's good when you can blend in with the locals - less likely to get scammed or hit up for money. Take Reekay,... that guy looks equal parts mexican, filipino, indonesian and spanish. He looks like he belongs everywhere where it's hot and sunny!
Thanks for letting me know..appreciate that...Am still addressing using 3 different mic systems and how they fair, it is a game to do interviews and have a positive volume... I battle volume more then one can imagine.... One day will get it nailed down. At least when someone mentions something , I know I need to focus more. Thanks!
Say Vern. No I don't feel or think that I am a victim , that's life. I keep on living man. It doesn't stop me at all. Still planning to check out the Philippines and Spain when it re opens.
SOME NEWS .. IN PHILIPPINES IF YOU FINISH YOUR 3 YEARS VISA .... YOU CAN REQUEST A EMERGENCY EXTENSION VISA BUT ONLY IN THE MAIN OFFICE OF INMIGRATION IN MANILA
Right..if they are open and not closed due to Covid to handle that request. The real question is how long will they extend before rejecting? Also How long will Covid lock down be in effect? I have a feeling many will need to eventually leave even after getting an extension or extensions. It just becomes a huge grey area. It is too bad someone doesn't define this more thoroughly, as they are loosing money on exiting tourists who will spend money elsewhere after leaving.

Great Interview. Maybe you can do an interview related to he medical tourism industry. Turkey is the hair transplant capital of the world because the cost is a fraction of what it would be on the United States.
Hello Vern and Erinn. I am more concern walking or working any major U.S. city than vacationing in a foreign Country. I have done international travel, no problem. In the U.S. I have been Rob at gun point. Chase by a gang to be rob during the day while working for a Insurance company. Threaten with a shotgun while working for rental company. Car stolen from my drive way. At a restaurant at lunch time had to hit the floor when a restaurant employee started fighting with the bartender and wrestling with a gun. Miami Beach I was in a rental car driving and was follow by three guys in a car because they new I was a tourists by the rental car license plate , in the 80s all rental cars license plate used to say Lease on it. A year ago back in Miami in a well know hotel chain by the air port I check out the the same day I checked in. I had rented a luxury car and in the evening the hotel atmosphere change completely, I notice I was been targeted by hoodlums in the parking lot. In L.A. my girlfriend witness a purse snatcher during lunch time. This was in the Business District. Many more stories Like you said you have to be street smart , any were you go.
Hello also Zalo Zalo...WOW you had a rough ride..... Wheew I feel bad you were victimized so many times..It changes you after those times. Unfortunately street smarts are often gained the hard way...uggg.

Haha yeah, it's so funny that Americans comes here in Turkey and talk about safety. It's just so unnecessary.
