- I didn't have any luck playing #pota #hamradio today but had a great time at this awesome park. There is absolutely zero cellular phone service and no #aprs #igate anywhere around.
Came here and subscribed after seeing your invitation on Twitter! I wish I could have trips to historic sites as well.
We are going back this weekend. I will be shooting another video so hopefully it will show some more detail

It looks like you weren’t actually transmitting. You could see the radio still receiving when you had the voice record function on. You have to enable TX in the play back settings. I think it’s PB if I’m not mistake.
Strange. It was enabled. I just checked it. Maybe I wasn't at one point but I just took the radio out and tested it. It is here at home. Hmmm. I could be a dummy so hard telling. LOL
I have activated Fort Griffin a couple of times. It was pulling teeth to get ten contacts. I have never been at the visitor's center where my truck wasn't the ONLY truck in the parking lot. I joked about running my antenna up on the big flag pole and they said "It shouldn't be a problem.".
