DIY Decoden How-To: Make Your Own 3-Ingredient Whipped Cream Tutorial
Вставка
- Опубліковано 23 сер 2024
- Hi everyone! I had some time during a past weekend so I thought I'd film this tutorial! I've been wanting to do a lot more decoden lately but I haven't had access to buy any new whipped cream clay, so I thought I'd attempt to make my own, and that is how I actually came up with this! I've noticed many other youtubers also do this but a lot of them have used large volumes PVA glue and I wanted to show people that it is still possible without that much pva glue! :) I hope you found this helpful! Thanks so much for your continuous support and for staying with me, even when I haven't been very active lately! Exams are still going on for me, so sorry if I continue to be quite inactive, I hope I can post more videos in the summer holidays!

I know I am cool diy for small shops
I am! I really want to make hair clips that look like fudge frosting with sprinkles.
meee :3
I am! 😋
Meeeeee 🙋♀️
This looks like a great method! I made up a method to make whip too, just thought I'd tell everyone just in case anyone wants to try this:
ᗪEᑕOᗪEᑎ ᗯᕼIᑭ (ᑎO ᔕIᒪIᑕOᑎE):
ⓈⓊⓅⓅⓁⒾⒺⓈ:
⚫️ Glue
⚫️ Hair Gel (a t̲̅h̲̅i̲̅c̲̅k̲̅ and jiggly one!)
⚫️ Cornstarch or corn flour
⚫️ A mixing container or surface
⚫️ Something to mix with
⚫️ Optional: A knife to make it easier to scrape out the whip from your container
⚫️ A Ziploc or a piping bag
⚫️ A piping tip
ⒹⒾⓇⒺⒸⓉⒾⓄⓃⓈ
Add some glue to your mixing container. Then, take your THICK hair gel and add as much of the gel as the glue. Mix. By now it should be quite a thick mixture, when you lift your mixing tool, there should be a peak of cream hanging from it. So, it should NOT be runny, it should hold its shape well. Once you have reached this consistency, add cornstarch until the cream becomes even thicker and slightly matte. Once it has become SUPER thick, it is time to transfer this whip into a piping bag or corner of a Ziploc fitted with the icing tip of your choice, I like the look of the basic star tip. Scrape the cream down until it reaches the tip with a ruler or card's edge. y̸o̸u̸r̸ d̸e̸c̸o̸d̸e̸n̸ w̸h̸i̸p̸ i̸s̸ r̸e̸a̸d̸y̸!
I ᕼOᑭE TᕼIᔕ ᖇEᑕIᑭE ᗯOᖇKᔕ ᗯEᒪᒪ ᖴOᖇ ᑌ! Iᖴ TᕼIᔕ ᖇEᑕIᑭE ᗪOEᔕᑎ'T ᗯOᖇK, IT ᗰIGᕼT ᗷE ᗷEᑕᗩᑌᔕE Oᖴ TᕼE ᑕOᑎᔕIᔕTEᑎᑕY Oᖴ TᕼE ᕼᗩIᖇ GEᒪ ᑌ ᖇ ᑌᔕIᑎG Oᖇ TᕼE GᒪᑌE ᗷᖇᗩᑎᗪ. 😄
Can you color it?
What type of hair gel do you preferably buy ?
Can we add in food coloring?
Thankss
I feel like silicone and coloring is easier and cheaper than both of these methods..
Alcohol works better than water because it dries faster, and it keeps mildew out.
like rubbing alcohol or??
@@olivejuice9515 rubbing alcohol
wouldnt it smell tho?
loving this elevator music 👌👌👌 😂
Same XD
The video has been a while but thank you! I made my first phone case deco, it's not perfect but i love it!!
What was the consistency like once it dried?
How did your case hold up?
thanks for the amazing tut! :D love your vids!
Kristen Ok Thank you!
this is really helpful for me. Thank you sooo much❤
+Martine Hauge Your welcome!
Hi awesome tutorial I'm going to try this out
i tried this, but since the clay im using is pretty sticky and stretchy, i used no glue. works rather well
Thzx very much I was looking for this for a long time
is it heavy?
I tray this method it was a total fail. I dont know what did I did wrong
Can this be used for decorating phone cases?
what if yes
Yes
I have a question when it dries is the daiso clay waterproof or do I have to put something on that and what spray u would advise me thx 😊
i am gona try it today!!!!
soeasy to make!!
After drying if we touch does it will spend in our hands
This is super awesome!!!
+NataliasPets thank you! :)
Is the crayola air dry clay good for this? I tried using it and it didn’t turn out well, idk if it’s the clay or the portions I added
Very well explained
Thank you!
hi i'm kinda new to this but what would you put it to color it?
APS Aerla I think the easiest method would be acrylic paint, but you could try chalk/soft pastel too! :)
okey thanks :)
your welcome :D
Hi, I was wondering if your air dry clay is crumbly or slightly moist? Because mine is (before I have done anything with it) and if it is, will it still work?
Thank uuuuu
thanks so much super helpful
Hello, thank you for this video - it is very helpful. Just one question: where did you get your icing tip? It appears to be the perfect size for piping and making big enough shells.
+Ice Princess Your welcome! :) I got it previously with a fuwa fuwa mousse piping cream kit - it came with this icing tip and another round one, hope this helps! I do agree it is very useful :)
wow, this is really nice !! since it's air dry clay, how long do you think it'd be safe to keep inside of the piping bag as long as it's sealed, and how long does it take to dry ?
+Lixity Hagoze thanks! :) as long as the piping bag is sealed, you can probably keep it in there for a very long time, I created this video in May last year, I still have the rest in a piping bag sitting in my drawer, and it's still the same consistency as before :D also it depends on how much liquid (water/glue) you put in your clay and how long it takes for your air dry clay to dry - mine usually takes around 1-2 days to fully harden :D
oh wow, thanks !!
does it leave any type of smell when dried or no?
+thefullball if you wanted to make it pastel pink, would you put a tiny amount of pink before you put in the glue??
+Sarah it doesn't really matter when you add it, so before the glue is fine, just make sure you mix it in before adding any other parts to make sure you get the right consistency :)
Is this better than using silicone?
Thank you
Wow thanks for sharing :D
What kind of glue do you use?
Hi, what’s the drying time for this?
THANK YOU!!!
Can you use DIY air dry clay?
Thanks for the tip!♥
Your welcome!
+theflufffball ur vids r great! I subscribed 2 u
thank you so much! :D
Awesome video! How does it dry?, I'm wanting to make some but not sure how it dries, thanks so much :D
Georgia S Thank you! :) It air dries! :) Just leave it out overnight and it should dry solid :D
theflufffball Thanks so much for answering! :D I'm trying this soon as I get my clay
Your welcome! :D
Hey ! I just wanted to ask that Can I use air dry clay ?❤
Thank you very much for this video!😊
Can you use other white clay for this too? I live in Germany and we don't have the clay you used
This is very helpful :D
LittleHappyFruit Alyzia Thank you so much! :D
awsome video! but i have a question, can i use polymer clay instead daiso soft clay??
I've not tried it, but I don't think it would have the desired effect because polymer clay is designed to not dry in air
TYSM! I’m gonna sell them to my sister hehehe
Hello dear, what are the ingredients you used in the first glue?
Can I use elmers glue plz reply
very helpful, didn't know about the glue. is that a daiso purchase too
marci ochoa *Very *Did not
Stop it, woman. ****Girl *******Young girl ************Kid.
And by the way you don't use capitals in the middle of a sentence ;) ("*Did not") and also ever heard of contractions? Didn't? Haven't? Aw, that's too bad ;)
Jiamei Wang Me?
Jiamei Wang Your acting rude. Did your mother ever teach you manners? Awe no? To bad!
Will white glue work?? I bought all the stuff except glue
+lover chicken Does it dry clear? If so then yes, it will work :D
how much glue did you exactly put and how much water did you exactly put?
Does it have to be clear glue? Can it be white glue? Because I cannot find clear glue where I live
Hi again. I have a question. Can I put like glaze over it after the clay drys? (By the way I'm going to use Daiso air dry clay) It's a glaze spray bottle. Will the decoden fake whip cream melt or something? So am I able to use the spray bottle glaze over the decoden?
+lisaluisA. phung No the whipped cream won't melt I don't think, once it dries it dries since the water evaporates :) You might want to test it first the daiso air dry clay first just in case though!
+theflufffball okay thank you very much :) but we don't have to put glaze on it right?
no it's optional :) I personally didn't :D
+theflufffball Okay thank you so much for ur answers :) ^^
good job!
Loopy Land Thanks Louise! :)
did it work on play dough?
do you think i can use homemade paper based air dry clay for the clay part?
+Martine Hauge Hmm you could try it! As it's air dry I don't see why not :D
how long does it take to dry?
+Lilli Stewart around a day for me, depends how much glue and water you add to the air dry clay to get it the right consistency :D
thank you theflufffball
What if I want to make transparent cream glue?
Isn't it hard to do it with the bag? And then you need to clean it etc. Does it harden over time inside bag? Also you cannot change the tip.
If you use a coupler on the icing bag, you can easily change out tips and also remove the tips to store the cream so it doesn't dry out. And if you don't have a coupler, putting the tip in one piping bag and then putting the decoden in a different piping bag to then put into the bag with the tip, that would allow you to remove the decoden to change the tip and store the cream away from air so it doesn't dry out.
how long does it take to dry? do we need to put anything to make it stay or make it look glossy?
+lisaluisA. phung for the drying time, it takes around a day for me, it depends how much glue and water you add to the air dry clay to get it the right consistency :D for the glossiness, it also depends on your air dry clay, if it doesn't dry glossy you could always coat it with a glaze that works with your air dry clay.
+theflufffball oh okay thank you very much what glaze can I use because I use the same air dry clay like you. :)
not sure since I've never tried glazing my clay, you could experiment and see what works best? :D
+theflufffball ok thank you very much for replying! :)
Where to buy it?Also has in Korea?
I tried making this kind of whip and piped a little bit onto a piece of paper to test it out. It dried hard. Is there any way to make it dry squishy? Or does only silicone whip do that?
Allison Fox I know there are some methods that can get it slightly less hard, but silicone is the best way to go.
Please reply can we add fastem clear glue
Hi +theflufffball, I'm considering making one of this cases myself. I wanted to know what the purpose of the cream is other than appeal. Also, when you are finished making the case, does it dry? Would you just leave it out to dry or what? Thanks if you answer. c:
+Insert Lenny Yup it definitely dries :D If you're making your own cream it depends on how much liquid you add, it normally takes around 1-2 days to fully air dry and harden. If you're using a brand of whipped cream clay that's already been made and you've bought, then it will probably say how long it will take to dry in the instructions :) Hope this helps!
+theflufffball Thank you!
@@theflufffball TYSM
Does this dry matte?
If I wanted to color it, when exactly should I add in paint, before or after I mix it?
+Elena Wilson you could add acrylic paints (they would probably blend better than chalk pastels) and it doesn't really matter, but maybe after you mix it so you can judge the perfect colour you want, but then again if you add it before then you can judge the right consistency better, since adding more liquid will make the whole thing more runny, so it doesn't really matter xD
theflufffball Oh! Thank you :)
how well do the cabochons stick to the whipped cream? and is it also durable? :o
+HiyaLilxKitty For me the cabachons sticked really well because I used glue, and that glue helps to stick the cabachons in place! And depending on what air dry clay you use, it is pretty durable :D For me the daiso air dry clay was slightly squishy when it dried on a phone case, but if I hit it hard on a table it doesn't break or anything xD
what glue is it? i probably have to buy it over internet, and really want to spend my money on something that works since it will be my first time
Mali Park clear glue
Will bouncy clay work its air dry
Hmm I'm not sure :/ You could try?
so helpful thnx 💖
+Mariyum your welcome! glad you found it helpful! :)
😊
theflufffball wow your such a lovely person you answered all of the coments!😉
aww thank you haha xD if people spend time to write comments for me then I should spend time replying to them :)
Ily your videos so much you are one of my favourite you tubers 😙😙
How can u dye it?
Does it stick well to plastic though?
I'd the plastic is prepped correctly
So after it dried, it'll like not be so sticky right?(omg don't tell me it won't dry)
MillieGames Yes, it does dry hard
Would Model Magic work for the air dry clay?
+Niq Ruc I've never personally tried it myself, but since it's an air dry clay I don't see why it wouldn't! Go ahead and try it! :)
Try to make some diy piping tip
can I use this to decorate cases?
Sun Flower *Can
I tried doing exactly what you did in the video, but I can't get the right consistency :/ Mine comes out way more dense than yours, do you have any clue what I could be doing wrong?
+LJ Wren Hmm :/ when you say dense do you mean hard to mix? I had to mix mine for quite a while before it started forming those peaks. If you mean dense as in thicker, you could try adding a tiny bit of water maybe :L What clay are you using?
+theflufffball idk what brand, but its air dry clay
is it heavy? daiso air dry clay is very light
Does it have to be clear glued
ASMR_YummyFoods no it can be white glue too :D
Could you use Elmer's glue or where did you get the liquid glue?????????
Lemon Cake Crafts you can use any glue, so elmer's glue will probably work :D
Does diaso air dry clay by itself dry well like, really hard?
it dries hard but not rock hard, more like a foamy hard, the texture is the like the texture of those foam alphabet letters you can get from craft stores but less flexible
Ohh, thanks!
Sims Shopping music lmao
would white glue work?
+CreativeCreations Yup! As long as it dries clear, most white glues do dry clear :D
Do u have to bake it?
If its air dry clay, then I don't think so. I baked air dry clay for a separate project and it turned out brittle and close to burnt.
Can you use crayola air dry clay ?
Fairy Lights I've never tried it, but since probably any air dry clay works, I'm sure it would! :)
Oh thanks
can i use play dough?
eh
would polymer clay work or is it too hard?
+Amberly _ Sadly polymer clay won't work because it;s an oven bake clay, and the clay you use for this has to be air dry D:
It worked for me when I used polymer clay since the glue will dry and be solid so will the deco whip
How long do u have to wait for it to dry? X
Jacky Do For me it took overnight to dry, however it depends on how much glue and water you add to your clay to make it the right consistency :D
can u give me details how you made yours coz i want mine with the quickest drying time! x
well I didn't exactly measure anything, I just trialed and errored until I got it to the right consistency you see in this video - if you want a quicker drying time, use less glue, less water and more clay.
where you buy the clay ?
Josefa Bong Well since it's daiso air dry clay, Daiso Singapore. Although since you can use any air dry clay, you can get any air dry clay at a stationary or craft store :D
Can I use Art Atack clay
+Saint-Clair Guia You can try it :D
thank you
Does the fake whip cream dry hard??
+lisaluisA. phung depends what clay you use and how hard it dries :) I use daiso air dry clay and it dries semi-hard but it's also quite spongy
+theflufffball okay because I'm going to use the same clay as you Daiso air dry clay too. Thank you. I thought it wasn't going to dry hard so I asked to make sure :)
ah :D no it dries solid, just not rock hard :)
+theflufffball oh okay thank you.
+theflufffball ^.^ :) :D
will resin clay work?
+Fluffy DIYs hm not sure about that one :/ it may be a little heavy, although it is air dry so it may work >< Personally I wouldn't try it since resin clay is quite expensive for me, but if it isn't for you, you should try it :) Tell me how it goes if you do! :D
+theflufffball Hey I tried it! works pretty fine! And that is the only clay I get😊
ahh that's awesome! so glad it worked out!
+theflufffball Thanks! credits to you😄
AAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWSSSSSSSSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
+Peter Ross :D
Can i use just regular modeling clay? Anyone? Please reply
+Charlotte Gray Is the modelling clay air dry? If so you could try it :D
+theflufffball thank ill send you an update if its done 😄
+Charlotte Gray your welcome! yay looking forward to hearing about the results :)
+theflufffball well the clay is too sticky and i try pushing it out of the bag and it is too hard so modeling clay is not the type of clay for decodening lol xD 😊😊
+theflufffball and btw i subscribes
will play dough work
+Mandisa Chawaguta Hmm I'm not sure, I haven't tried using it and it's quite dense so it may not work as well :/ You could try and let me know how it goes? Sorry I couldn't be much of help! D:
no
+theflufffball I didn't work it went clumpy but any way thanks alot
aww noo sorry to hear that D: thank you for letting me know though
+theflufffball coolio I'm glad u replied most youtubers ignore the comments
My name is Molly
People alcohol is not good for you
I think I used too much paint and glue. It acted more like slime than frosting. 🥲
this is really helpful for me. Thank you sooo much❤
I'm glad you found it helpful! :D
