Make it from a light type of steel... with a larger barrel, also made of steel; try to keep the tip of the handle in the same shape, perhaps less pointed. It would make a great axe, brass knuckles, and bow at the same time! your idea was brilliant!

Elastic band with a diameter of 5mm! I folded the rubber band in half and got 4 rubber bands, so the slingshot became very powerful😱

NGL... I was hoping to find a link where I could purchase one of these, but was actually impressed with the tutorial showing others how to build their own. Also, if you decided to make more of these in bulk, I am certain you would have a market to seel them online... especially if you experimented with different strings, and found a way to optimize the speed of the arrow, to make it legal for ethical hunting of varmint & small game. Anyhow... since I took the time to follow this interesting device ("palm-wheel-bow"?) to it's original source, I knew that the honorable & appropriate thing to do was to leave a comment (& subscribe). Keep up the great work, and best of luck with future creations like this! It is encouraging to see the creative spirit at work in others, and it inspires me to return to my own creative roots, and perhaps set up a small workshop on my shed, so that I can FA&FO.

What a great idea. If anyone needs a wheel they could call any mower repair shop in there town (look on your local craigslist). Or harbor freight has every thing needed (if you want to buy new). Im going yo make one with only one change. Ill use jn weld 2 part epoxy instead of hot glue. I have it on hand and dont have a hot glue gun. Thanks for sharing this
great proof of concept. It would be interesting to make it in aluminium. I would think I'de want at least 50-70 pounds draw. I would use bodkins instead of hunting tips. That let you load the arrows from the back side.

Hey, i made one and use it to hang ropes when im camping. Thanks for the idea. This is also great for fishing to eat in some places. Really saves time if nothing is biting. Im working on some proper mods for my purposes.
you want it to be stronger get longer arrows maybe get a slightly larger wheel with higher tension bands could probably make this pretty strong for its size a longer arrow would allow for further draw and a further draw means more power higher tension bands obviously stronger draw
you could probably add small torsion gears housed within the contraption with one having locking teeth and a trigger so as not to have to hold it back constantly. My 2¢
People please have some imagination these videos are too show you how to use materials that you have laying around or can come across easily watch videos try to make this stuff out of whatever you can find use some of your own ideas to maybe make it easier or better it opens up your mind to new things it does not have to be exactly the same as the one you see here please learn and do what you are capable of doing then you have life lessons that you can pass on to other's
This is soo cool and I am HERE for it! Find yourself a ballistics chronograph! It'll tell you how fast you're sending your bolt or arrow in meters per second or feet per second whichever you prefer!! After you measure your velocity measure your mass or weight of the bolt or arrow then multiply the two together and you'll have the force! Good luck and always have fun!!

@@diylisx Basically any scales you can attach to the nocking point and draw it with, there is purpose built archery scales but something like luggage or fishing scales would suffice.
@@diylisx No problem happy to help. I will say, I would keep an eye on the string close to your arm and hand, string slap is painful I've been caught a few times. Lol Also be careful with the fletchings passing your bare skin at speed, archers using the likes of longbows wear a glove on their bow hand to save irritation or albeit minor injury. I don't mean it to sound like I'm pointing out what you are doing wrong, I like the imnovation and wouldn't want you to cause yourself undue harm. I look forward to see what you come up with in future.

I used a special elastic band for slingshots, but you can tie it with nylon thread
