About to buy one to add to my 40-150f2.8. I have both MC’s already but want a bit more range and stabilisation. I’m using an OMD1.2 currently and have the battery grip too which helps the handling with the big lenses. Informative video, thanks. Subscribed.
You'll be impressed with the lens I'm certain of that. Of all the pro lenses I have it's definitely the most impressive - you can see why it's known as the best glass Olympus has ever made!
Just recently found a 150-400 secondhand and couldn’t resist it, the only downside is that I had to sell the 300 f4.0 to help fund it. I sold to MPB so maybe you are it’s new owner! I had a lot of fun with it. It’s a great lens. Thanks for the video
Very nice upgrade! If it wasn't for the weigh (and cost if I'm honest) I would be looking at the 150-400 but for me the 300 is amazing! You never know, it could be your old lens though!!
The 300mm f4 is a brilliant lens, even with the MC14 (which I hardly ever remove) and the MC20 (which I tend to use in the summer when there is more light). I've supplemented mine with the new 40 - 150mm f4 Pro, which replaces my PanaLeica 200mm f2.8. Both lenses work beautifully with my OM1 bodies.
The MC14 is definitely on my wish list - having tried it I was so impressed at the clarity even though it's through the tele-converter. And the extra reach may well be useful for a few more distant shots and it's light enough to carry along "just incase".
It's kind of what the video was about though - I did warn of that in the description! There will be a full video soon with lots more wildlife using the lens!

I have been using the lens for about 2 years now as you said tack sharp. I also have the om1 now and boy oh boy what a combination.
It's definitely a dream combo isn't it? What a lens! And what a camera!
@@LeighWPhotos I had the em1x and em1 mk2 before did not come close to the om1 for bif.

Aren't all 300mm pro lenses f2.8 and the cheaper ones f4 ?
Not on the Olympus ones, they only do one 300mm f/4 Pro - no f/2.8.
Too much talking head.
