Saving grace is its ability to be hipfired and it not being a huge downside, Komorex has held this role until this sniper got this new augment mod. Have to aim with the komorex though.
it also feels buggy sometimes. When hosting a mission it would work perfectly fine, but if I have >70 ping, projectiles would hit the enemy without the explosion. Will have to test it if it was because of the + projectile speed mod I was using
Tbh, I can think 3 reasons they made it niche in use. 1) They were very cautious with touching snipers after a long time and they went with niche-->general use approach 2) Working already on next things, which may include an Incarnon Sporothrix adaptor 3) Same as above but for a kuva/tenet variant of infested, with a variant of Sporothrix this augment can be used on
Finally a weapon for my Gauss. It was so annoying to seek for headshots while sprinting. Enemies show their back or get struck by Gauss so it is even more painful to get some heads. (I know Torid exists but I don't have it yet)

This weapon is really fun with mag because it does the multi hit thing that the lanka also does but with explosions so it’s even better

Mesa's first augment is a way to get the CC, I have a precision intensify gloom build on her.
also might be a bug, but if there are multiple shadows on an enemy the CC goes up.
